It's the aftermath of Legacy Day, the day when the students at Ever After High are supposed to pledge to follow in their fairytale parents' footsteps, and everyone is in a huff and a puff! Raven Queen, daughter of the Evil Queen, has refused to sign the Storybook of Legends, rejecting her story--and putting everyone else's in jeopardy.
The Royal Apple White doesn't want to think Raven is being a rebellious pain, but Raven's choice means Apple might never get the poisoned apple, Prince Charming, and a kingdom to rule. Behind Apple stands the Royals, those who want to play by the book and embrace their stories. The Rebels, supporters of Raven, believe in breaking free from destiny and writing their own stories.
But when the chaos and rivalry land wonderlandiful Madeline Hatter in trouble, Raven and Apple must bring the Royals and the Rebels together to shut the book on their feud before it threatens to end all of their Happily Ever Afters once and for all.

Don't miss Book #1, Ever After High: The Storybook of Legends!
Shannon Hale is the New York Times best-selling author of six young adult novels: the Newbery Honor book Princess Academy, multiple award winner Book of a Thousand Days, and the highly acclaimed Books of Bayern series. She has written three books for adults, including the upcoming Midnight in Austenland (Jan. 2012), companion book to Austenland. She co-wrote the hit graphic novel Rapunzel's Revenge and its sequel Calamity Jack with husband Dean Hale. They live near Salt Lake City, Utah with their four small children, and their pet, a small, plastic pig.
This book looks so good it tells you more that storybook didn't. It leaves you on a cliff hanger, on the preview. It looks great can't wait till it comes out March 25th
Shannon Hale wrote some interesting books before this series -- Princess Academy, for one. I miss that writing.
If you are a fan of the plastic Mattel dolls, you would love this book. If you are not a fan of plastic characters, you probably will not like this book much at all.
This was a great story and sequel. I read it fairy quick, in about 3 days. It’s not like the show — it's enchantingly better. I fairy much loved the way it was written! The pop culture references always get a laugh out of me, since they have an Ever After High twist on them. The twist was so unexpected but made perfect sense. I like Apple’s character a little better now. I think she's stronger and smarter in this book than in the first one. I think the challenges Raven and Apple faced were fairy creative. The message really resonated with me because I don't know what my story is going to be like in the next chapter or at The End, and I don't have to decide what my entire life-story is going to be right now. The only things that were confusing to me was the Mirror technology system. It was very different and unexpected since they don't really use technology that way in the show. Some of the spells were a little hard to follow but I got the picture. Overall I think this book deserves 4 stars since I thought it was a creative story, and I got to like the characters much better.
Series Summary: Totally didn't like the idea and wonder why I chose these books again. Being a fan of fairytales I was looking forward to see what kind of twist but this is going to be one series that I am truly going to stay away from.
The children were snobby and the people no matter the age were mentally damaged. I mean who has ever suffered in life would hope their children would willing suffer the same fate just to be happily ever after? So wrong in so many accounts.
And the modern touch was interesting but the way the author made parodies and pans of it while also giving the story a "fairytale valley girl" touch just made want to cringe. This isn't the way fairytales are suppose to go.....
Book Summary: Unlike the other Kindle/ebook editions of the characters this one had me interested in what I was reading so it was a better save. The above Series Summary is what I put for the character introductions from previous readings while I am including it in this one as a comparison since this one changed my thoughts about the series just a bit.
The characters were better developed and had stronger personalities whether villains-to-be, neutralists or even the villains themselves while most didn't seem as ditzy although a few still were. You get a more interesting idea of what the story is going to end up being like.
What makes this more interesting for me is there is an actual storyline and it is going to be about Raven wanting to be more mature than the rest of the characters by not following her "destiny". And there is just a little bit of a cliffhanger that will tease you when you finish this preview.
All the Ever After High books that we read were the day before Legacy Year started. This book is what happens after Raven doesn't sign. I love the personalities of this series, I never really know who my favorite is. Maddie is hilarious in this book, but then again she is most of the time. The rebel and royal food fight was fantastic. My favorite part, however, was Raven trying to decide who she could interview. This preview actually had me wanting to purchase the rest of the book...loved it and wanted more.
This book is based on real life problems with a hint of fairy tale. And I Rilly love nonfiction books because I love magic and fables and books with rules being broke. In my mind one of my top ten favorite books this year. P.S follow my cuz on Instagram cool-jucie
I chose 5 ratings because this book is so interesting and I don't hate anything about this book and I wish the whole universe would read ( if there are aliens in other planets)
