Required read for Orton-Gillingham instructor certification . . . likely still read because of the requirement. Content accurate to 1988 with much still applicable though some current research continues to reveal information. The required reading list is generally not very updated. Not as "reader friendly" as other great books instructing on working with dyslexia. Practical application to direct instruction of students recommended as presented in other books by authors such as Tim Rasinski, Louisa Moats, and many more.
