Architectural practice does not take place in a void. It is inscribed into a historical continuum, it is integrated into a social, cultural and intellectual milieu, it takes form in a code of construction. And it derives its inspiration, first and foremost, from the psyche of the architect who creatively works out a solution.

Ο Νίκος Σιδέρης γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα το 1952 και σπούδασε Ιατρική στο Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών. Στη συνέχεια εγκαταστάθηκε στο Παρίσι για μεταπτυχιακές σπουδές (ειδικότητα Ψυχιατρικής, Ιστορία και Νευροψυχολογία-Νευρογλωσσολογία). Είναι διδάκτωρ του Τμήματος Ψυχολογίας του Παντείου Πανεπιστημίου και διδάσκων ψυχαναλυτής, μέλος της Ψυχαναλυτικής Εταιρείας του Στρασβούργου (E.P.S.) και της Ευρωπαϊκής Ομοσπονδίας Ψυχανάλυσης (FEDEPSY). Εργάζεται στην Αθήνα ως ψυχίατρος, ψυχαναλυτής και οικογενειακός θεραπευτής. Έχει διδάξει στο Τμήμα Ψυχιατρικής του Τμήματος Ιατρικής του Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλίας, στο Κολλέγιο Αθηνών και στο Deree College, στην Ανωτάτη Σχολή Καλών Τεχνών το μάθημα «Εικαστική Δημιουργία και Φαντασίωση του Καλλιτέχνη: Η περίπτωση του Ερωτισμού», στη Σχολή Αρχιτεκτόνων του Ε.Μ.Π. το μάθημα «Αρχιτεκτονική και Ψυχανάλυση», καθώς και στο ΠΜΣ «Εφαρμοσμένη Ψυχολογία στην Εκπαίδευση» του Ε.Κ.Π.Α. το μάθημα «Ψυχολογία του Εκπαιδευτικού: Βιωματικό Εργαστήριο».

πολύ καλό ανάγνωσμα, εύληπτο κυρίως γιατι έχει γραφεί ως απομαγνητοφώνηση διαλέξεων εμπλουτισμένες βέβαια για τις ανάγκες του γραπτού λόγου. Δεν αποφεφεύγει ομως τις επαναλήψεις.
Θεωρώ ότι ειναι αρκετά χρήσιμο για κάθε αρχιτέκτονα.
