ii. crave her simple joys; lips like great rapids and freckles like star maps.

iii. feed her adventurous spirit; her mind like a bottomless fire pit burning infinitely.

iv. rejoice in her flaws; damages and scars are the earth's way of making us her own.

Beautiful poetry. Seriously. Beau Taplin makes me take teen angst seriously, makes everything seem real and more beautiful.
Eye-opening stuff, the kind of thing you read on the roof at 3am with stars in your eyes.

I've been enjoying this series all year, putting 1 on my TBR stack each month. Last night, I realized that the main character in this series, Anna Pigeon, reminds me of Kinsey Milhone in Sue Grafton's alphabet series! Strong, take-no-crap, female leads. They both have their soft, vulnerable sides making them realistic and human but overall, very strong leads. Nevada Barr's suspenseful writing will keep you race reading until the end!

Hunting season is a collection of poems. The poems are sad and guilty. It's about a guy who loved a girl. But he decided to move on, he knew he had to. The "guy" that he was writing about, was actually about him. Beau taplin told his story. He loved this girl, and he had to move on from her. He was basically forced to move on from her. He then regrets it, because she ends up killing herself. This is a true story, based off the author. He grieves and he loses himself in other girls and liquor. He writes poetry to heal him. He writes poetry about how much she meant to him. It's a very sad book. It could be worth the read. It all depends on how you take saddness. I'm not going to sugarcoat it, this book is very depressing.

Read some part of it back in 2014. But something happened this year and that reminded me of this. I rushed back to read it again , so here i am underneath the night sky holding countless emotions maybe more than the stars that are up here tonight reading the Magic that Beau has put in this. Its just so catchy.

Another phenomenal masterpiece by Beau

he never fails to impress me with his simple yet relevant messages in his work.

In the words of most poems I found bits and pieces of me.
