The finale of a magnificent fantasy series has finally arrived, and I devoured the book without pause.
Lhada is gone, and Seren is the new Golden One. Now it’s up to her to unite the Daijin and prepare for the final battle. Meanwhile, Lhada tries to solve the problem of Tian and the darkness in her own way, and only Seren has the power to truly stop it. How will the centuries-long war finally end?
“Lhada” by Lilith Lamprecht is the breathtaking conclusion to a gripping fantasy series unlike any other. With this final volume, Lamprecht crowns her epic saga and delivers a masterpiece that leaves nothing to be desired. Even the cover is brilliant—both front and back. It perfectly matches the epic content and is simply beautiful to look at. (On a side note, all the new covers in the series are stunning—a perfect visual update. I’m almost tempted to buy the entire series again just for them.)
From the very first page, Lhada pulls the reader into a world full of magic, intrigue, and unexpected twists. Every plot twist is so masterfully crafted that you’re constantly caught off guard. Lamprecht’s talent for weaving a suspenseful and complex story, already evident in the fantastic previous volumes, reaches its peak here. The many different points of view come together seamlessly, and no matter who you’re following—Seren with the Daijin, the Thi’kanor, or Lhada on her own—it never stops being gripping.
What’s especially impressive is the diversity of characters. Each one has a well-developed personality and plays a vital role in the story. The depth with which Lamprecht brings her characters to life makes them feel real and tangible. You root for them, suffer with them, cheer them on—a true emotional rollercoaster that lingers long after the final page. From the very beginning to the many epilogues, I was on edge. Anyone who interrupted me while I was reading was mercilessly ignored. To be able to immerse yourself so deeply in a story and forget the world around you—that’s true magic. Which makes it all the sadder that this epic is now over.
At the end of Book Five, so many questions remained unanswered, but Lhada resolves them all over time. After the unsatisfying end of the previous volume, this book won me over again—both with Lhada’s choices and the strength of Seren’s role. The shadows that previously caused unrest now add incredible depth to the story, and I love them all—be it Lhada’s husband, his father, Seren’s daughter, or the rest of the family. They’ve all become a part of me, and that’s why, despite the high stakes, I was able to fully enjoy the reading experience. Even the enemy—the fallen shadow—evokes empathy, and the backstory is revealed beautifully.
Compared to other fantasy masterpieces like Throne of Glass, Lhada holds its own. Throne of Glass is by far my favorite series, but Lhada is on par. If this series were available in English and the author a bit more well-known, the books would undoubtedly be bestsellers. Lilith Lamprecht raises the bar once again. Her storytelling is so captivating and detailed that it’s nearly impossible to put the book down. Every page is packed with tension, magic, and surprise.
The ending of the series is something truly special. Lamprecht manages to conclude the story in a way that’s both satisfying and deeply moving. It’s a finale that leaves the reader with a profound sense of fulfillment while still allowing space for reflection and interpretation. Because it is absolutely unexpected—even shocking—and if you were hoping for everyone to get their happy ending, you will be disappointed. I spent a full hour in stunned silence after finishing the book, unable to process what had just happened.
All in all, Lhada is a must-read for every fantasy lover. With her compelling storytelling, multilayered characters, and countless plot twists, Lamprecht has created a book you’ll want to revisit again and again. A truly masterful ending to a phenomenal series.

Bei dem Buch handelt es sich um den finalen Band der Daijin-Reihe, welche ich sehr gern gelesen habe. Gerade der erste Band hatte es mir sehr stark angetan und ich wollte unbedingt wissen, wie es mit Lhada, Muro, Seren und den anderen zu Ende geht.
Da zwischen der Veröffentlichung von diesem und dem vorherigen Band etwa 1 Jahr liegt, gibt es auf den ersten Seiten nochmals eine kleine Zusammenfassung. Die Geschichte hat sich so stark bei mir eingeprägt, dass ich beim Lesen immer wieder ‚Flashbacks‘ zu den vorherigen Romanen hatte und ich mich an verschiedene Szenen erinnern konnte. Was wiederum zeigt, wie gut diese Reihe im Gedächtnis bleibt.
Lhada und ihr Umfeld haben sich im Laufe der Reihe sehr stark weiterentwickelt und dennoch sind die Charaktere ihrer selbst treu geblieben.
Dieser Band zählt mit zu den Düsteren. Immerhin geht es hier um den finalen Kampf gegen die Dunkelheit und die Rettung der Welt, wie sie die Daijin und die Askarin einst kannten. Dennoch wurde dies durch die positive Ausstrahlung der Charaktere aufgelockert.
In der Handlung passiert auch wieder sehr viel und es treten Ereignisse ein, die ich so ganz bestimmt nicht vorhergesehen hätte. An der einen oder anderen Stelle haben sich die Geschehnisse jedoch etwas überschlagen und es ging mir zu schnell.
Was ich ebenfalls sehr positiv hervorheben möchte, sind die Epiloge am Ende.
Denn diese werden zu verschiedenen Zeitabschnitten und aus unterschiedlichen Perspektiven beschrieben.

Der finale Band einer epischen, unglaublichen und emotionalen Reihe. Ein fantastisches Leseerlebnis und der dringend erwartete Abschluss!
Diesen Band kann man ebenso wie seine phantastische Vorgänger kaum aus der Hand legen. Die Erfüllung der Prophezeiung, der Untergang der Welt und große Gefühle finden hier ihren Platz.
Wir erleben viele unserer liebgewonnenen Charaktere und können die von der Autorin geschaffene, unvergessliche Welt noch ein letztes Mal besuchen.
Ein wahnsinnig gelungens Leseerlebnis und ein weinendes Auge beim Abschied von dieser unglaublichen High-Fantasy-Reihe!
