After a near death experience out in the tunnels that cross the depths of a dead world, Ethan is back on his feet and ready for more.
When he arrived in Wayport less than a month ago, he had nothing but the clothes on his back. Now, everything has changed. He has a place to live, coin in his pocket, and the best job security in the bastion. It comes at a cost though, as that job is about to get a lot more dangerous.
The bastion is starting to break down from years of hard times and poor maintenance. The distance separating peace and disaster is shorter than ever. To complicate matters more, the Crawlers have never been more strapped for recruits. Ethan is going to have to fight harder than he ever has before to make this work.
But it’s all worth it to come home to a household of loving, beautiful women…
I am Misty Vixen (not my real name obviously), and I imagine that if you’re reading this, you want to know a bit more about me.
In the beginning (late 2014), I was an erotica author. I wrote about sex, specifically about human men banging hot inhuman women. Monster girls, alien ladies, paranormal babes. It was a lot of fun, but as the years went on, I realized that I was actually striving to be a harem author. This didn’t truly occur to me until late 2019-early 2020. Once the realization fully hit, I began doing research on what it meant to be a harem author. I’m kind of a slow learner, so it’s taken me a bit to figure it all out.
That being said, I’m now a harem author!
Just about everything I write nowadays is harem fiction: one man in loving, romantic, highly sexual relationships with several women. Nowadays, I tend to write more human on human stuff, but I still have a lot of non-human ladies in mind for the future, so if that’s your thing then stick around.
I’d say beyond writing harems, I tend to have themes that I always explore in my fiction, and they encompass things like trust, communication, respect, honesty, dealing with emotional problems in a mature way…basically I like writing about functional and healthy relationships. Not every relationship is perfect, but I don’t really do drama unless the story actually calls for it. In total honesty, I hate drama. I hate people lying to each other and I hate needless rom-com BS plots that could have been solved by two characters having a two minute conversation.
Alternate universe, post apocalypse survival, harem adult situations
The action, pacing, and characters continue to mesh in this underground survival tale. I really enjoyed the series "Raw," and while another book in that series would be welcomed, this series is shaping up to being a ratio of plot to sex scenes, and the deeper development of these characters shows. I've been watching the author's writing skills improve with each new series, and Vixen is consistently hitting the marks now and THAT is a pleasure to see; it mean that future books will be great reads, too.
A very minor complaint is that most of the time dashes should be used instead of hyphens, but that may be the fault of whatever writing software Vixen is using; often using a double hyphen will automatically be converted to a dash. I use Word myself, and sometimes I have to force it insert a dash. Hold down the ALT key, typo 0150, and release both keys; it should work on both Windows and Linux machines. Otherwise, it was well edited.
Seriously enjoyed this sequel. Will definitely buy book 3.
It's better than the first, in my opinion. Great balance of action and downtime. There is lots of great mystery and intriguing going on that I can't wait to get answers to. I love all the characters, and they all feel unique and special. I can't wait for the next book!
Misty writes such incredibly real characters with real emotions that the story itself can be secondary. However that is not the case here. This series is fantastic, has a unique setting and it was hard to put down. That combined with the characters makes this one of my favourite series in this genre and we’re only on book 2. Can’t wait for more.
A second book just as great as the first one. These books have a lot of action in the job that these people do on a regular basis. Its has to be scary to wonder what's waiting around the next corner. This is Misty Biden storytelling at its best. Looking forward to number 3.
If you haven't read Misty's books do so they are excellent. This one is the second in a series with number 3 in the works. The book has action adventure and spice. But more than simple sex it explores the relationships between the characters, with things like trust. I enjoyed this immensely and I think you will too.
l wasn't sure what to expect with book 1, as it was my first experience with this genre. l tried it on a whim, and was pleasantly surprised. This sequel is even better. Terrific action, quality writing and well developed, interesting characters. The romance is exciting and reasonable. I look forward to book 3.
An imaginative world with the right blend of sex and adventure.
This story line is easy to follow with-out getting stale. The author doesn't resort to magic or non-stop flashbacks to build a complete world for the characters to move in. This is a fun book to read, I'm looking forward to many more sequels for this series.
This is a really good fantasy read of the future after we destroy our planets face and have to live like gophers. It is full of action and the struggle to keep alive the things that sustain us. I truly enjoyed this novel and the first book that starts this series. I can't wait to read what's coming next.
And that was some of the best there is in this genre. This is a harrowing tale. It's gritty and powerful. It's also sexy and fulfilling. Can't wait for another.
Looking forward to seeing where this goes. It's good world building and interesting characters. Misty is a talented author and I enjoy her work. Definitely looking to see what happens next.
Underground, old technology, spare parts, components breaking down. Limited resources and the search for ersatz very dangerous. With death around every corner, is survival even possible? Love, sex seems to provide comfort, but what is in the future?
Really enjoyed the series so far and looking forward to the next one. I hope the series goes on for a while. The characters are all so fun and interesting to read!
