Jack Adams is a Brisbane-based writer. He grew up in Toowoomba, Queensland, and has lived and worked in London, Melbourne and Sydney. He is married, shares the house with a range of pets, most who have wandered in and stayed, and hopes to have kids when he grows up.

This is the fourth book in the Delaney and Murphy series and I have enjoyed them all.

Adam Murphy and Nate Delaney were childhood friends and now share an office space where Adam works as a psychologist and Nate as a P.I. In this book they work together on a cold case of a girl who accepted a lift in a car when she was sixteen and was never seen again. Twelve years later her brother asks Nate to look into her disappearance.

The story is told in alternate parts of then and now and it is gripping. At the same time we see a lot of the way Adam and his rich relations live their lives, including his mother's latest wedding. All of the characters are well described and there is plenty of humour in their dialogue, especially between Nate and Adam themselves. I recommend this series to anyone who enjoys clever detective work in their mysteries.

Sixteen year old Holly Castle hitchhiked from her home town in Queensland, set on arriving in Sydney and launching her acting career. Twelve year old friends, Nate Delaney and Adam Murphy happened to be testing their bikes out when they spotted the young girl climb into a blue car. They had no premonition of what might happen; they thought she was friendly as she waved to them as the car pulled away.

Twenty years later, Eric Castle, Holly's brother, bumped into Nate and together they decided to look into Holly's disappearance. Eric had been trying to find evidence of where she'd gone, but was at a brick wall. Together, Adam and Nate would do what they did best - Nate as an ex-cop, now PI, and Adam as a psychologist. But would they have any success after so long? The beautiful young woman had been forgotten by most, but not by her brother...

Hitched is #4 in the Delaney & Murphy series by Aussie author Jack Adams (Helen Goltz) and I've loved them all. Excellent and well written characters, Nate and Adam couldn't be more different, but are closer than brothers. Their business houses other characters, who I enjoyed catching up with again as well. I'm looking forward to #5 in the not too distant future. Recommended.

This is an excellent series

I’m really enjoying the series so much all the characters are wonderful and they keep me glued to my books ! I’m about to start the last book in the series so far , but really hoping for more The Delaney and Murphy is excellent in all the characters fit together so well ! Jack Adams is a wonderful writer and I am looking forward to read more from him.

Jack Adams just keeps drawing me in!

Another addition to his series that I’m enjoying reading! I love how he flips from then and now, and it’s easy to visualize. Great storyteller, great author!
