I liked this - a low-effort read - although the plotting could've been tighter and there were points where the character monologues got very repetitive. I wish more had been done with Craig.

This one felt a little darker and less cosy then the other ones, and it wasn't hard to see the inspiration for the storyline as Glorivale was all over the news at the time of writing ... at least that is what I am assuming. Witchcraft can feel like a cult as much as religion can and it was perfect blending of the two ideas to get that point across without it feeling too preachy. I appreciated that, and that they were unexpectedly able to come back to their craft, help others, stay true to their beliefs while finding their community again without the stigma they left behind. Incredibly thoughtful and thought provoking read. It reads like a modern I Am Not Ester by Fleur Beale.

Good addition to the series!

Another good story added to the Windflower series. I like the cult angle. This book is full of magic, mystery and light romance. It was smart to include older main characters to show how trauma and escaping the cult influences one’s life.
