Phoenix Rising takes the first book of this series, Icarus Grid: Blood Money, and flips it on its head; Giving insight into an unexpected character. While this character built a horrifying rap in the first book, this book introduces a depth of cognitive dissonance and rich back story that completely flipped my perspective. The action of this story is descriptive and aggressive. Which left me on the edge of my seat waiting to see what would happen next with each chapter. The ending was thought provoking and leaves me very excited to see what comes next is the series. I 100% recommend this series and look forward to what follows in the Grimm Shadow series!
