This book was amazing. My first book by Ms. Rose and it won’t be my last. I plan on reading all the books in the series. Meg was starting over in Weatherford, Texas. She got a good job at a restaurant with nice people. One day she sees the owners son Jack walk in. He was very good looking. The only thing was she could not start anything. Her life was a mess. Jack just wouldn’t take no for an answer, and wants to teach her things. Jack is a caring man, and wouldn’t press Meg for what’s troubling her. It was just things weren’t adding up. He knew she was hiding something. If it put his mom in danger, or his family in danger then he needed to know what was going on. So he along with his father, brother, and guys he served with that worked with Sheppard & Sons investigations would look into it. It was their job. What was found out was not good. He never tells her what he’s done. But he does let something slip, and she’s furious to say the least.
Buy the book and see what happens. I really liked it
There’s a content and warning notice in the front of the book. Tiggers that might bother people. Violence, rape, kidnapping.
Pretty good read. I liked the concept, and the Sheppard boys seem drool worthy. I found the heroine hard to root for, though. Her paranoia and internal dialogue were, at times, frustrating. The location was well described and interesting. If you like damsels in distress and strong military like heroes, this one is for you.
