Even though I was slow reading this story. It was very cute. What I didn't like as that Moss acted on impulse instead of thinking first. When he got into that fight with Sire's ex Devoe I was like as man that was stupid. But glad he got it together.
This book had the potential to be a good story but unnecessary drama overshadowed the bond that they attempted to build. Too much going on taking the focus away from the couple.
This is a short novella about two people who meet, fall in like, then fall in love. I loved the build up of the romance part and I love their happy ending. It wouldn’t be a romance book without some confusion between the lovebirds and them contemplating on calling it quits, but it was a nice fluffy book to read.
Brielle and Devoe were bitter people, I'm glad that Sire and Moss were able to be together. I need more from these characters to see what happened later.
OMG!! I am so glad i went into this story blind it was just so beautifully paced and the story had me hooked . The main characters Moss and sire were so magnificent, I enjoyed every word L.Renee wrote about these two .
Man Moss almost let his pride and image cause him to lose the best thing to ever happen to him. Now Sire and Moss had some petty exes who just couldn’t deal, which was adding to the already tense situation of should they make the leap or stay friends. They say the best relationships start as friendships and this story proves that point.
Great best friends to lovers tale - Moss and Sire have been friends forever, never crossing the line for more until a childish game ended in a kiss. One kiss that stuck with them, buried in their memories, until their feelings were allowed to grow into more after two jealous exes practically pushed them into each other's arms. Coaxed by their friends and family, the would-be lovers wrestle with their own doubts and fears, risking losing their friendship and their love. A good short listen, with great characters, great settings, and great chemistry between the stars. If only the narrator had been human....
I really enjoyed the first 50% of this book but once we turned that corner the pacing started to impact the story. There was some really impactful plot points that were introduced and rushed it took away from my enjoyment of the story. 2.75/5
