Well, one way to find out, grab a copy of this story when it comes out on christmas eve. What a wonderful story it is.
I loved this book,it’s definitely 5 ⭐️ worthy. Sheriff Marsh is holding out on meeting “The One”,due to his reelection as sheriff & not having enough time to dedicate to a relationship…until he meets Sarah & her young son Mickey. Sarah is also hesitant to start a relationship, especially after a failed marriage. There’s a questionable fire at the ranch where JJ ,Marsh’s dad lives. Sarah is his live in nurse. Mickey thinks he’s responsible for the fire & is guilt ridden…..if you want to find out how the story plays out,do yourself a favor & grab a copy. This book releases on Dec. 24,2024
I always enjoy a good book with a fascinating story that I am confident will have a happy ending. This book is an excellent book with a totally mesmerizing story and it. Indeed has a happy ending. Getting to the happy ending by reading all of the conflicts built into the story was so entertaining and fun that I hated for the story to end. There’s a mystery involved in the story that attracted me from the beginning since mysteries are a favorite genre of mine. Who started the fire on the ranch and who knows what really happened? Those are the burning questions that Sheriff Marsh Cassidy is determined to answer. In his dogged quest for a solution to the mystery, Marsh has numerous people to suspect and shows his character of perseverance as well as humility when he sometimes makes the wrong assumptions. His attraction for nurse Sarah Reynolds is expected and a large part of the story since Sarah may know more than she realizes about the fire. I enjoyed the interaction between the characters and that the matchmaker in this story was a surprise and not the usual Sadie who has been fulfilling that role in the previous books. This book had me laughing aloud, cheering for the truth to come out and hoping for the best for the couple who seemed destined to bump heads. This book is definitely heartwarming and checked off all of the boxes for me as a good romance with well-developed characters and a plot that was the right pace for the story. This well-written romance is memorable and charming, with the feel of ranch life on each page and the love of family built into the story. Another in the Bachelor Cowboys series, in which the only man still standing as a bachelor may have met his match (his grandmother) when she sets her sights on Sarah Reynolds, the woman serving as a home health nurse for his father after the older man recovered from a heart transplant.
Sarah is interested only in making a safe home for her young son, who's suffered from bullying by other children who knew his father was in prison. Hence the reason Sarah left their previous home and moved away. But her skills are no longer needed. Should she stay in town so that little Mikey can remain with his new friends? The boy would prefer that.
But Sarah is determined not to hook up with the sheriff, as much as she's attracted to him. And Marsh isn't interested either. Or is he? In spite of his determination not to get coupled with Sarah. Then again, his grandmother seems to know better than any of her grandson's. Or does she?
Loved this book. I haven’t read all the books in this series but plan to go back for sure. Sheriff Marsh Cassidy just wants to know what satrted the fire at his families ranch. He needs to ask his dad’s nurse since she was there when it happened. He feels like Sarah is holding something back. Not to mention that her son Mikey knows something as well. Whatever it is he needs to know. He will do whatever it takes to protect his family. It warmed my heart, and it broke my heart. Little Mikey who’s 6 years old is holding onto guilt Sarah his mother doesn’t know what to do about. Sarah also has feelings for the Sheriff. She just can’t follow through since he’s already made it very clear he’s got no time for that. He has an election ahead of him; and her main concern is her son.
A Match for the Sheriff is the eighth in the Bachelor Cowboys series but can be read as a stand alone, however I suggest reading the previous stories for a little character background on the secondary characters as well as for the pure entertainment of the series. Sarah is a single mother and nurse who has been taking care of Jessup both before and after his heart transplant but now that he is healthy, she believes it is time to move out. She is worried that her son may have started the fire at the ranch they were living in but he refuses to talk to her. Marsh is the sheriff of his town and the last bachelor but he refuses to get into a relationship because he feels his job is too demanding to devote time to someone. When he starts to suspect that his dad's nurse or her son know something about the fire that burned his father's ranch, he begins to spend time with them and soon realizes that he will do anything to protect them. Sarah is leery of the sheriff because of her past and worry for her son but the heart has different plans. This is a sweet, lovable romance that will keep you entertained until the very last page with relatable characters and meddling matchmakers.
I received an advanced reader copy from the publisher but all thoughts and feelings are my own.
Sarah Reynolds, nurse Marsh Cassidy, Sheriff Mikey Reynolds son to Sarah
Sarah was a nurse that took care of Marsh's dad after he had surgery. Sarah was not taking care of Marsh's dad she had to find a new nursing job. After the house caught on fire. The where looking for who started the fire.. Marsh was thinking it was his dad's nurse Sarah. Marsh was a man falling in love with Sarah and being a dad to Mikey. Will the Sheriff Marsh Cassidy find out who started the fire. Will Marsh and Sarah get married?
Wanna find out the end and the fabulous book. Lisa Childs is a wonderful writer and I love her books.
I love this book and the series I wish I could give it more than five stars!
Sarah Reynolds is a single mom raising her son Mikey as a traveling nurse. She wants to shelter Mikey from her ex-husband‘s past. She wants nothing more than to make her son happy. Sheriff March Cassidy is up for reelection. He cannot concentrate on anything other than that. But his grandma Sadie has something else in mind. And he is not in the mood for her shenanigans right now. Mikey is such a sweet little boy. Theres’s a fire at the ranch and he’s absolutely positive that it’s his fault. The guilt is really weighing on him, and his mother is so worried about him because he’s been so despondent lately.
In this story, my favorite character was Mikey.
This is such an emotional book. Definitely one of family love and friendships ! I highly recommend it.
Release date December 24 2024 This book can definitely be read as a standalone. However, the whole series is amazing.
This is part of a series, and I have not read any of the prior books. However, this did work as a standalone, but I am sure readers would have a greater appreciation for the storyline if they read the books in order. Characters were well developed and realistic. I was surprised to find a bit of a mystery, which I appreciated. I really enjoyed Sadie, who was a truly enjoyable addition to the story.
I received a complimentary copy, but I wasn't required to leave a positive review.
The last of the bachelors may have met their match. Lots of family involvement. Engaging characters. Adorable children. Guilt and a bit of a mystery also are involved. Thanks to the publisher for providing a copy via NetGalley. My review is voluntary.
This is the last book in the series but can be read as a standalone. Grandma Sadie is now trying to pair Sarah with Jessups nurse to her Grandson Marsh.Sarah and her son Mikey have secrets they are trying to hide but Marsh is a sheriff and he does a background check.Worth reading.
Sarah, a single mom and nurse, has cared for Jessup before and after his heart transplant. Now that he’s healthy, she feels it’s time to move out. Meanwhile, her son Mickey is struggling with guilt, fearing he caused the fire at Jessup’s ranch but refusing to discuss it. Sheriff Marsh, the last bachelor in town, avoids relationships due to his demanding job and reelection campaign. However, his investigation into the fire leads him to spend time with Sarah and Mickey. Despite her reservations about Marsh, rooted in her past and her son’s well-being, Sarah can’t deny their growing connection.
This sweet romance blends relatable characters, meddling matchmakers, and a heartfelt story, keeping readers entertained until the final page.
