Over the years I have realised that I have become a bit reluctant in reading Self-Help books because no matter how incisive the content is, eventually they end up becoming preachy and self-boasting. The borderline-narcissism and sense of superiority always pushed me away from this genre. Not this book though.

The good part of ‘Finding The Oasis’ is that while
It is inundated with information and advices, they are very deftly wrapped in the cocoon of author’s own experiences, most of which are relatable & everyday. At many instances in the book, reader might stop and ruminate on the relatability of experiences and how we as a race are more similar than different from each other.

This book is a walkway into the concepts of Deep Health and Holistic well-being and aims to bring back the onus of one’s health on own-self while also delving deeper into the strategies for preventive rather than curative Wellness. Something that often gets overlooked in the healthcare system of any country.

Finding the Oasis nudges the readers like us to acknowledge that our well-being isn't just about hitting the gym or eating well or finding the right doctors; but it's also about nurturing our minds, feeding our souls, maintaining healthy relationships and caring for our environment. It also demystifies lots of myths pertaining to Nutrition, Metabolism, Sleep and Stress while also laying out a clear cut Call to Action, which, to me as a reader and free-will adopter of new approaches, helped in inculcating the advices rendered.

All in all, it is a great book for anyone who is ready to acknowledge that it is now ‘Enough’ and own well-being now has to take a center stage. For a reader who is ready to bring in the aforementioned renaissance, this book could be the James Nestor, Patrick Mckeown, Matthew Walker and Carol Dweck; packed into a 300 pager compendium.

Recommended to be read. And to be shared with your loved ones.
