Mira is my ride or die, my soulmate, my partner in crime. We're like two peas in a pod, and even our faults complement each other. Together, we run a quaint little bookstore in Hazy Cove, our own little paradise in the Pacific Northwest. And I’m madly in love with her.

The only thing marring perfection? Her annoying, alpha-hole of a husband, Gunnar.

Yeah, I’m the ultimate third wheel.

To make matters worse, Mira wants Gunnar and I to be friends and is always trying to set up our bromance.

Let’s be real, two men couldn’t be any Gunnar owns a motorcycle shop, I own a bookstore. Gunnar has tattoos, I… well, okay I also have tattoos, but mine are intellectual. And we can't agree on anything.

But as much as I want to hate him, Mira adores him and can't seem to see past his overbearing ways. So when she begs me to come along on their next adventure, a camping trip in the wilderness, how can I say no? I know things will be awkward, but I can never deny her anything.

But on our camping trip, Gunnar’s tough guy facade finally cracks, revealing that he’s different than I ever expected. He’s oddly sweet, bisexual, and definitely into sharing his wife with me.

Suddenly, I’m in way too deep. Of course, I’m even more in love with her, but that’s not all — he’s on his knees, asking for something I never expected to give. And I might want both of them.

But that’s not a thing… is it?

THE THIRD WHEEL did not work very well for me. I enjoyed Mira and Gunnar's story in PRAISE & PAPERBACKS but they felt like different people in this one. Gunnar especially was very different in both his personality and his kinks; it was never once mentioned in the previous book that he was bisexual, interested in being submissive, or that he had feelings for Colby. Now of course people grow and change and I don't have any problem with that but the book presents it like its something he's known for a while, especially his bisexuality.

I liked each of the characters and it was certainly very spicy but overall this felt like a mess. Everything happened at light speed, very little discussion occurred on page, characters were being outed left and right (which was icky), and it just all felt so superficial.

This novella has a really solid plot and deep characters. Unfortunately, the writing is a bit clunky. There are many good sex scenes, but there are missing transitions and misplaced appendages which I found distracting. Also, I never got a sense for her: body, eyes, hair, etc. They may have been there, but it didn't stick with me. The guys are described in detail, often.

I'll try the next one, as the menage relationship was good.

DNF at 45%. Tbf I didn’t know this was going to be a poorly written plotless bdsm heavy erotica with no character depth and mid spicy scenes. That’s my bad, really.

I didn't have a favorite contemporary author, until I read this. I've only read 2 of Kristin's books (this and Praise and Paperbacks) and I am now swiftly working my way through her back catalogue.

It has everything I could want. Oops all switches! Bisexual men exploring their sexuality in a loving and safe space. Organic formulation of a deeply loving polycule.

This is a follow up to Praise and Paperbacks but can be read as a standalone. However, it is definitely best read after to really get a grasp on the preexisting relationships between all the main characters.

This story starts with Mira and Colby who are co-owners of a bookstore and best friends. Colby is in love with Mira, but she is married to Gunnar. He and Gunner bicker constantly. Mira suggest a bonding camping trip wherein we learn that there's an underlying tension between Gunnar and Colby. What follows is a whirlwind polycule formation where in Gunnar can explore his bisexuality and Colby discovers his own.

I LOVE that this book has a fairly realistic sense of a poly relationship. Colby struggles with feeling secure in their new relationship because Mira and Gunnar are already married and the news of Gunnar's long standing secret crush is very new. Colby was under the impression Gunnar hated him, and now he wants to bang? The whiplash he experiences is palpable. Gunnar and Mira both make an effort to show and tell Colby how much he is wanted and put his worries to rest. At no point do they try to minimize or brush it aside. They are fully invested in him being a part of the relationship.

Gunnar's exploration of his bisexuality and submissive side is fantastically done and relatable while Colby's discovery of his bisexuality is equally relatable. Them learning how to navigate their attraction to one another without Mira being the glue to the two of them was delightful.

As a poly bisexual this was so nice to read through my own struggles brought to life. I love that while this book is super kinky, poly and bi folks are fetishized. They are celebrated and brought to life in a beautifully relatable way.

The spice in this book is 5/5 and adds so much depth to their story.

I cannot wait to read more of Kristin's work and the rest of this series.

the wildest thing in this book was three people fucking on an air mattress without it deflating

author says it’s a standalone but as i started reading it felt like your friend asked you to come to a party where you know no one and then abandoned you at the door to mingle with everyone while you stand in a corner all awkward. there was an anal hook situation mentioned, like, two paragraphs in like. girl. you can’t just drop a casual anal hook and not elaborate

i really tried to not let it bother me but fuck. it bothered me SO MUCH i even considered buying the previous book just so i could fucking follow the story in this one. it felt like i didn’t know the characters or their dynamics. especially mira and gunnar, their marriage was a complete ????? to me. they didn’t seem all that compatible based on this book?? the tension between the guys? it was like. fucking. two minutes. and boom, actually i’m bi and into you. that’s that? no inner thought process? no coming out nerves? no slow burn? just one camping trip after what i assume is years of friendship and marriage, and all hell breaks loose immediately? ”we both love you as a friend, maybe more” feels like a wild thing to put in a dialogue at 35%. without having read the first book, i’m pretty sure if these two books were combined into one single story, it would be perfectly fine

idk how to explain but this gave me reality-tv-love-island-esque vibes. everything and everyone was SEXY all the time. god i hate that word

but this book was a nice quick read. easy to follow if you just ignore the fact that you know nothing about these characters and their relationships or dynamics. very readable as in not a lot of mistakes. the most striking to me was colby with them hazel eyes turning blue a few times. smut felt a little wattpadd-y with its lack of description, it was all very get-to-the-point and the only point seemed to be penis in vagina

The Third Wheel is Book 1 of There’s Room for More series. It's a steamy, OTT, polyamorous, new threesome, BDSM, biawakening romance. I'd suggest reading Praise and Paperbacks first as a prequel, but it's not absolutely needed. However, that book is also so good and gives you Mira and Gunnar's background story. Mira is a young, sweet, and sassy, sexually open female. Gunnar is her husband and a bit of a hunky, burly, possessive Dom. Mira is also a co-owner of a bookshop with Colby. Colby is her hunky best friend who is the light to Gunnar's dark. He is on the preppy side but also enjoys the BDSM lifestyle. He's secretly in love with Mira. He and Gunnar constantly argue and butt heads over their respective relationships with Mira. When Mira and Gunnar decide to invite Colby to join them on a camping trip, Mira is determined to bring her boys closer together. What they find is the start of a very hot three-way relationship. Colby is a Dom and starts to realize he is also attracted to Gunnar. He sees there is more to Gunnar than his gruff persona. But what happens after the camping trip? Is it back to before? Or are they now a throuple? OMG, the chemistry between these 3 was pure fire 🔥!! I thought my Kindle was going to melt. But the story was so much more than hot steamy scenes. It really showed the growth of the love and relationship between the three, both with each other and as a triad. Gunnar really evolves in this book, and I loved it!! I also fell in love with Colby in the last book and loved how he became part of their dynamic. It was so good!!
I really hope Jay and Nori get books, and I aspire to be Gran in my old age. OnlyGrans was hysterical!. And I really love how open and supportive the family is to them and their relationship.

DNF. I tried to read this one first but a notice in the beginning said there was a prequel of the established relationship couple getting together so I backtracked and read Praise and Paperbacks. I really enjoyed that one - the couple has a very strong connection/attraction and they’re hot together. And while the ENTIRE TIME there are hints of a throuple in the next book (mostly Gramma throwing around the word polyamory around), there are some key factors that bothered me so much I stopped rooting for them adding Colby into their relationship.

Jay, Gunnar’s little brother is pansexual and in love with a man, named Luke. Never once is Gunnar’s bisexuality ever brought up even in his inner monologue. Never once does he mention a crush on Colby. In THIS book he mentioned he had a fuck buddy that ghosted him named Luke. If that Luke is the same Luke who Jay is crazy for then why was that not mentioned when the brothers were discussing him? Prime opportunity to plant a seed.

In the prequel Gunner is established as a dom. Suddenly in this book he’s a switch that wants Colby to dominate him. The couple had a discussion and at least one play scene of her spanking him yet the POV is following poor outsider Colby, not the couple so this change/arc is NOT on page which is disappointing to me. I’m told it as a throw away fact. Oh he’s a switch now. That is not the Gunner from the prequel that I JUST READ. There wasn’t even a mental thought ONCE. He liked to fuck married women (yes women specifically) because no strings attached, not because he liked being dommed by stronger men. He could even be really picky about who topped and mentioned a useless crush on Colby who would never want that with him. No seeds planted.

And the final nail in the coffin is in the end of the prequel Gunner proposes to her, with Colby’s belligerent acceptance. That’s fine for them being a throuple in the next book. In this book the couple has been married for like three months. They invited him AND he went to their wedding. He could have said all of this mess before they got married. They could have established the throuple before marriage. There’s drama and angst and plot points there, not this ‘we snip at each other because we want to fuck’ that only in this book, not the prequel. And despite the emotional slap in the face that was their marriage when he fell for her at the same time the couple fell for each other, they’re all VERY quick to throw around I love yous in their first sex scene.

I noped out.

I know this is probably a matter of a fetish threesome author trying to branch out and write a MF story to gather views from being part of a muti-author series, then wrote a follow up book more in her own wheelhouse, but I expected it to be handled better than it was because the prequel was so well written. It had more emotion and connection between the characters than this one did.

To be honest, I thought Colby was much more of a third wheel in the last book in the series. Yeah, let me tell you, he’s much more involved in this one! Of course, it’s hard to be best pals with the guy who stole the woman you love. But Mira wants Colby to be best mates with her husband Gunnar and promises him that he’s not the alphahole he appears to be. And perhaps there’s some truth to her claim, as little sparks of something beneath the surface emerge on a joint camping trip over a long weekend. More than anything, I was astounded by the change in Gunnar from the last book, it was certainly not a direction I was expecting based on the way he acted back then. And I’m not talking about the revelation of his bisexuality. The new arrangement between Mira, Gunnar and Colby lends itself to a lot of steamy moments, but ultimately, it’s the way their relationship is accepted by family and friends that made my heart smile.

Colby has been in love with his married best friend, Mira, ever since he met her. But he thought she was too sweet and innocent for him but then he learnt she wasn't sweet and innocent but by then she was marrying Gunnar.
Gunnar's grandmother isn't silly, she can see that their is tension between Colby and Gunnar, but she thinks it is because they are attracted to each other. Mira starts to see what Gunnar's grandmother means, but tries to make her husband and best friend get along.
But then she invites Colby on her camping trip with Gunnar and everything changes.

This was a good read, I would have liked to see a bit more of the development of the relationship between Gunnar and Colby but it does of course have a happy ending for everyone.

Okay, so normally I’m not one who notices overt telling versus showing, but something about this book made it glaringly obvious and I’m not sure what

I’ve read this author’s work before and the dirty talk in this one was weird. I didn’t feel a connection between any of the characters. Colby’s sudden interest in Gunnar straight up comes out of nowhere and it’s a bit jarring. I also think the addition of Gunnar’s POV might’ve been a last minute change? He had 3 chapters in his POV whereas Colby and Mira both had 6 (including their own epilogues).

Idk, this book was just weird to me

The Third Wheel is, as the title suggests, a story about three people and the eventual long term relationship they engage in.

This is a short but very spicy story that sees Gunner, Mira and Colby (from a previous story) discover a whole wealth of hidden feelings for each other that leads to their new polyamorous life.

Along the way you will meet other colourful characters who add a bit of humour to the story (absolutely loved the idea of OnlyGrans!). So if you're after a quick lighthearted, uncomplicated, spicy story this is for you.

More Love in Hazy Cove
Colby has been in love with Mira since they met, but she’s married to Gunnar. But there’s some strange tension between Colby and Gunnar, and Mira is looking at Colby in a new light… could this couple become a throuple? I love love loved this book - I read Praise and Paperback and I loved Mira and Gunnar’s fantastically filthy romance, but my heart broke for Colby. I’m so glad that they found a way to all be together, with their unique combinations and power dynamics. Plus, all the secondary characters are amazing and I can’t wait to read their stories (plus, I’d love to read a scene of Gunnar, Mira and Colby at the Social Club). Such a terrific story.

OK, first off this book was pretty hot. The sex scenes are numerous, detailed and quite erotic. There were actual feelings involved...it wasn't just put tab A into slot B.

I felt bad at first for Colby as he seemed to be on the outside looking in. I'm glad Mira and Gunnar finally took measures to bring him into their family.

It was a little strange how everyone seemed to be in the BDSM lifestyle...
The multiple POVs really allowed us to see the relationship development between Colby, Mira and Gunnar. The epilogue where Gunnar

Colby has been in love with his married best friend, Mira, while her husband infuriates him. When it was pointed out to Mira how much sexual tension was going on with her husband, Gunnar, and her best friend, Colby, she couldn't get it out of her mind. It wasn't until a camping trip changed their relationship for the better. It was a fun story that was well written with some actual focus on the relationship.

This story is everything you never knew you need to read in one shot. It's got steam on volcano magma levels, heart like cupid itself, and love that we all want in our lives.

I was already onboard, knowing it was going to be a good read. Kristin always knocks it out of the park. I was surprisingly happy to the depth of emotion, love, submission, and openess these three had for each other. I loved the direction the book went, and really put some hopeful vibes out there.

Now...no spoilers...but if you don't need more a hook line....OnlyGrans. you MUST read to find out

Wow, what a story. Very well written, full of steam, family , love and adventure. Mira is Colby's best friend and business partner while Gunnar is her husband. Gunnar is a tattooed alpha biker, while having secrets about who he really is. and that he wants Colby. Mira wants both of them while Colby wants her but thinks about the three of them together. All three of them have issues that they need to talk about so they decide to have a camping adventure and ends super hot. Would recommend to others.

I really enjoyed this story. Gunner and Mira were married and in love. Mira’s best friend, Colby is also in love with her. He hides his feelings and has a love/hate relationship with Gunner. Mira decides to get her men to be friends by taking them on a camping trip but things turn out to be much more than friendship. Hot, steamy and surprisingly sweet story with off the charts chemistry, a little kink, a lot of love and a wonderful HEA.

This was a fun and spicy read that brings together couple Gunnar and Mira with her friend and co-worker, Colby. Colby resents that Gummar took Mira away from him... Mira recognized that the tension between her hubby and Colby was actually sexual in nature and pushed them to explore. These three had troubles talking about feelings and issues but eventually, they sort themselves out to have a happy polyamourous relationship. I love that it's told in multiple POVs, has humour and great steam, keeping me glued to my reader :D

I am not particularly opposed to MMF romances, I've just yet to find one that I like a lot. This one was ok, but rather light on the character creation. I would have liked to have more background and character development.

The sex is graphic, not safe, and includes both MM and MMF anal sex, as well as a couple of threesomes. BDSM is lightly portrayed.

If the author was trying to get the reader to be curious about what happens next with these characters, she failed, at least with me. I doubt that I will read anything else from this author even if Kindle offers one her books for free again.

I enjoyed the storyline, I felt for Colby when his best friend and business partner Mira married Gunnar, but he was also crushing on him as well. It wasn’t until they all go away for a weekend of camping that his secret comes out and Mira also confesses that she has a crush on Colby. They venture into new territory as a thruple and discover a love for each other and a happily ever after.

I really enjoyed this book. It was a fun, sexy read. I loved the dynamic between Colbie, Mira, and Gunnar. I liked the tension between Gunnar and Colbie and how they kept clashing. I liked the way Mira supported them both. I loved the way they opened up about what their fantasies were and that was the catalyst to bringing Colbie into their relationship. The chemistry was scorching. I also liked the supporting characters, and the OnlyGrans talks made me grin so wide. Such fun! 4 stars.

🌶️🌶️🌶️

MMF romance, BDSM, sadism, FemDom.

This was an easy to read book with tropes of I fell for my best friend and her husband. There wasn’t really much of a plot line but it was an enjoyable read.
The spicy scenes were amazing and I love the Gundar flipped between top and bottom. It was slightly confusing because he was set out to be so dominant and gruff and then all of a sudden he was a pussycat.

When they invite Colby to join them at first to stop the fighting, it becomes more. Colby is what or rather who is missing. The triad they form is stronger and their love for each other is even stronger.

I really enjoyed Mira, gunner, and Colby. Colby and Gunners tension in the beginning was great. It gave a little enemies to lovers vibe. One they got together it was pure spice and I was here for it. i feel mostly the same about this one as i did the first one. it’s cute, sweet, quick and easy to read. but it’s lacking in depth of character building, and it feels a little incomplete. the sex is hot, the relationship is sweet, but it could just be so much more vivid and fleshed out.

but it’s fun and entertaining, and i’ll read the next one too!

What’s with all the ‘slut’ name calling

Reading the synopsis this is my kind of book. I knew it wasn’t going to be a masterpiece which would have been ok but I just couldn’t get over how they’re constantly calling each other slut and f*cktoy. Even in supposedly tender moments. It just pulled me out of the scene every time.
