I came to this small town for a fresh start, but now I'm knee-deep in drama with the local damsel.
The gossip mill is working overtime, about me.
I've got my sights set on a rundown farmhouse for my next business venture. But what’s really grabbing my attention is the fiery bombshell who inherited it.
Enter Eden Hartley, the twenty-something spitfire who has my blood running hot and my pants barely able to contain my bulge.
But there’s a clash of money versus heritage and Eden doesn't give a crap about my billions and isn’t giving in without a fight.
She's convinced I'm the enemy. Little does she know, all I want to do is protect her from her impending doom.
Then, fate throws a curveball, trapping us together in her basement during a tornado.
As the storm rages, secrets spill and assumptions crumble, leaving a newfound bond and a mutual need for each other.
But am I ready to be all in? Because if she gives me her heart, I’ll never be able to give it back.
This contemporary billionaire romance is page-turning with exceptional world-building and characters that are captivating and realistic. Their journey is enthralling with going from the enemy to the protector, explicit romance that is engulfed by steamy, sizzling passion, lust, desire, and spice with all the feelings to have readers' toes curling from being hot and bothered, a damsel in distress, small town age-gap romance with forced proximity, enemies-to-lovers, opposite attract, drama, adventure, heartfelt emotions, action, and more. I recommend reading this book by an extraordinary author who knows how to captivate her readers' hearts and attention with the enemy that becomes the protector and explicit romance that is sure to take readers on an exhilarating roller coaster ride that is wild and unforgettable.

Sometimes our past dictates our view on our future and prevents us from seeing another’s perspective. Eden grew up living in a small town, loves every minute of it like most people who grew up in a small town they are oppose any/all change their town and will fight you tooth and nail to keep things the way they are. Adrian sexy as all get out billionaire with a painful past that he would rather forget so he focuses on his real estate ventures currently in the small town thinking and dreaming of all the changes he could make never imagining the push back he would get from the towns people especially the one feisty beauty. The attraction is instant and the magnetic pull neither of the can deny but can they come together on the changes, will she understand his need to make said changes, will he understand why their small town wants to stay just the way it is, and can he find a little peace from his past with a little happiness for the two of them?
Adrian and Eden. Two opposing forces with different views, with trauma in their history that makes it difficult for each of them to see each other eye-to-eye. And yet, as they allow themselves to feel empathy, and to really consider the other person, their entire views change, without them directly communicating with each other. :)
I loved how the characters of this small town banded together in times of trial, and also to protect Eden from outside trouble.
And while I appreciated how the two main characters grew, I do believe that better communication would have helped them resolve their issues sooner. That said, the way that Emory Kade dealt with it in her story really did make for a good story.
A really enjoyable read!.

This was a book that you can really relate to if you grew up in a small town like I did. Eden is a woman who lives in a small town. Adrian is a billionaire who recently has arrived in town and planning on making some really big changes. What they don't expect is that the changes involved has to do with their feelings as well as the town. I thought Emory did a fantastic job writing this romance book and it brought back some of my small-town feelings at times.
