Fresh out of college, Omar sets out to search for a job. He enters a mysterious company building where the people inside were already expecting him. The company then accepts Omar and assigns him the very special role of ‘The Third One,’ with its main members assisting him in completing various company ‘missions.’ They need his help to keep the company secure as well as participate in the ‘missions’ to keep the community safe from problems.
What are the true intentions of this secretive company? Why are the missions so dangerous to carry out? And most importantly, why do the main members of the company seem to possess extraordinary appearances and abilities?

Nice and creative story, and easy to read. I hope to see more of the characters in future works, they are worth developing further. The story should be treated like a series if continued to more books.
My favourite character is the Doctor, I feel like I want to know more about him and his past. Looking forward to the next book to find out what happens to him and also the main character Omar in the next book
Khalid Al Hajeri's "The Third One" is a neat little story about a fresh college grad who, after having difficulty looking for a job in a bad economy, finds himself hired at a very strange company. The company assigns their employees "missions" to carry out, which involve acts of heroism and vigilance. But is the company really doing these "missions" for the greater good?
The story is fine for a short read, and the main character named Omar gets some good character development as he goes along making friends and encountering danger. The supporting characters are what really makes the story shine; they are an oddball mix that get along and protect each other while also giving the main character (and the reader) a sense of wonder at their antics.
I think a sequel, or even a series of books, would greatly benefit the story since some of the characters have backstories which were only touched upon lightly. Instead of flashbacks, the characters mention or briefly explain their circumstances to Omar. This leaves readers wanting to read more on them as they are some very interesting supporting characters.
Overall a nice little read blending some adventure with fantasy that deserves more depth in future books. Recommended for people who want to read a story with great characters and potential to become a hit series.
