Ranveer Malhotra - he is known for his anger, care, protectiveness, obsession, and revenge.
Maya Bajaj - she has had a very bad experience in the past when it comes to modeling; now, she is happy training models and making them walk the ramp.
Ranveer needs a fake fiancee who can take revenge on his stepbrother, and Maya Bajaj suits her requirements to perfection. also, she is in dire need of financial rescue, but they have a past that can't be ignored. He blackmailed her to agree to his term and then things started changing. Now, the situation is in a very tricky state, and also, the secrets behind Ranveer's parents' deaths are almost at the edge of being revealed. With all this chaos, how will Ranveer and Maya survive? Is there any chance that this fake relationship will turn real? How will they sort their differences??
This is a very interesting read with many secrets, ups and downs and a blooming story of revenge turned love.

This book reiterates why I fell in love with Madhuri’s writing from the very beginning. It's a delightful blend of pure romance with strong leads, heart-fluttering moments, evocative storytelling, and beautifully depicted family dynamics.
Ranveer, obsessive & control freak, has a bitter past with Maya. Despite that, he seeks her out to act as his fake girlfriend, driven by a desire for revenge. Maya, having been ruined before by Ranveer is burdened with her mom’s illness and agrees to his proposal in exchange for her mom’s treatment. Little do they know, this is just the beginning of a love story between two sworn enemies, as they embark on a journey of unexpected acceptance and finding love amidst the chaos.
This book is an experience; it’s like watching a cinematic masterpiece, so vivid it is in its narration, where the characters leap out of the book and each scene comes to life right before your eyes. Ranveer, unapologetically alpha is just TOO MUCH. He’s arrogant, controlling, bossy, sexy, possessive, intense, passionate, but also irresistibly magnetic, with a mushy heart. He casts a spell over us, leaving us enthralled. Maya, a previous ramp queen, is a stunner. Principled and hardworking, she gets thrown into the web that Ranveer weaves to make her his. September 25, 2024This one was fine. There wasn’t anything special about it. It had angst but it was boring. I don’t like maya and Ranveer and every other character in the book. Dhruv gave me weird vibes. Plot twist didn’t twist nicely. There were some grammatical mistakes.
Also, this guy is a “billionaire” right ? So how does his wife taking out 10 million from his bank account make him bankrupt or poor or whatever in that context??

Madhuri's books are very relatable and reminds you of a daily soap.... And this particular book is exactly that.... just like how her old books used to be .... you just cherish the stories and enjoy reading them ... with new instances happening every 2nd page, you just start falling in love with the characters and by the time the book ends, you are constantly just thinking about them
Ranveer and Maya are exactly that and more... This enemies to lovers story with Ranveer's blow hot blow cold attitude and Maya's past issues with him makes up for an exciting read with constant twists and turns on the way, including some unexpected revelations and interactions in the end
The other characters in the story add to its depth making it more interesting, be it Dhruv, Adira, Garima or Dadi.
Once again Madhuri has made us swoon over love stories and I really hope Dhruv gets his own story someday

First of all, the chemistry of the characters is palpable and I loved it! The book is very Indian soap opera coded and it appealed to the desi girl in me who used to sit with my mother watching soap operas when I was a kid. Secondly, the story has been very well executed. I was blown away by the way the characters' lives intertwined with each other, pulling them together. I love Maya's "ready for anything" attitude. She is my favorite character, for sure! I am excited to read more books in the series! If you like desi romance books with a tinge of darkness, this book is for you!

All I can say about this book is
a) The hero really really creeped me out
b) Animated movies arent "Cartoon movies" and just for children??
c) It put me off reading so much that I am 50 books behind my reading challenge.
