The internal political climate in The Cove has become contentious. Some members of the POA's board of directors favor the Plateauville mayor's plan to selectively increase property taxes for The Cove residents.
Nell Cassidy, a resident of The Cove, retired nurse, and BOD member, takes a dim view of the plan. She speaks out at a town meeting, drawing the ire of those who support the plan. When the body of one of mayor's supporters is found in her driveway, she becomes the prime suspect.
Assisted by her group of lady friends, Nell struggles to prove her innocence, save her community, and, perhaps, not get killed.
