Enlightening
This book just confirms what I and millions of other Americans have come to know about our government. It is ruthlessly corrupt from top to bottom, and the "Deep State" is running the show at every level. Sadly, our elections have been compromised for years allowing all the corrupt puppets to get elected instead of the loyal candidates the people have tried to put in place in hope of finally restoring justice for all. We now have a two tiered justice system with little hope of fair elections or cleaning up our government. I pray every day that President Trump, Patrick Bryne, General Flynn, Mike Lindell and so many other brave people like them who are out there risking there lives and livelihoods will succeed against all odds and we will soon be a country to be proud of again.

I stopped reading Danger Close Domestic Extremist #1 Comes Clean by Patrick Byrne 31% into the book just long enough to urge those who appreciated his previous book The Deep Rig to get this new one to read. I was at the part in the book that started “In early February 2016, I met with the two FBI agents again. They brought a third agent, for the following reason. They said that in 2008 a law was passed that made it possible, under certain circumstances, for the Director of…” You’ll have to read the book for more details (I don’t want to rankle the AI surveillance of content for triggers), but this one made my head explode. Some may think this book’s more fable than truth, more fairy tale than actual entanglements with the USG involving diverse covert operations over a lengthy period of time, but remember “Truth is stranger than fiction.”
Byrne is intelligent, discreet, adroitly adaptive and analytical, and has been relied upon by many in the upper echelons of DC elite. His academic background includes a: Certificate from Beijing Normal University, BA from Dartmouth, M Phil. from Cambridge (Marshall Scholar), and PhD from Stanford. This book is riveting in its explosive subject matter, and informs readers about things unknown to or ignored by the press over the last 9 years. The book is a combination of Byrne’s first person narrative, a question and answer session with an interviewer, and observations of those who’ve interviewed him such as this one: “Byrne believes what the country is experiencing is due to capture. ‘It is as Federalist #10 predicted,’ says Byrne. ‘In designing the Constitution, Madison wrote, they looked at previous attempts at Democracy, ancient and modern, looked at what made those experiments fail, and tried to design a better system. But they knew that there was a problem they had not figured out how to solve, and it was the one that took down republics more than any other problem: the problem of special interests and the corruption they bring.’”
There are only a handful of books written by players during the Obama and Trump administrations that are worth reading. This is one of them. I’ve followed news stories involving this former CEO of Overstock for a long time. As a retired securities broker, I wondered who this corporate guy was, blowing the whistle on Wall Street about collusion and naked short selling, culminating in the SEC’s 2007 ban on naked short-selling of financial firms already affected by the mortgage crisis. Many corporate guys are far more practiced at swiveling with scotches than sniffing out significant corruption while winning judgements and court awards. Sometimes it may appear Byrne likes to color outside the lines, but upon study, patterns emerge and point to bad actors doing what they do best. So many in this nation are quick to brush away whistleblowers as wearers of tinfoil hats. For any that might be inclined to envision Byrne wearing one, be sure to notice the writing above the brim that reads “Hear Me Out.”

Whoa! This guy's story is amazing!! I only knew Byrne as the founder of Overstock.com. Not only has he survived multiple bouts of cancer, he has worked as an unofficial U.S. Government emissary for decades. It's shocking he is still alive! All the way back in 2006, he was tasked by the Senate Judiciary Committee with disrupting the Deep State and preventing their duplicitous actions regardless of method. Nine years later, he was used by that very Deep State to manufacture evidence for their multiple plots to control the 2016 election. I don't want to give away all the details, but suffice it to say that Barack Obama had his hands all over it. It's been a while since I've been shocked by anything coming out of Washington, but this book truly shocked me!!

Truth is a rare commodity, but it seems to have really taken a ride off a cliff in the last two decades. One’s brain aches trying to sift through the alphabet soup of government agencies that may or may not be doing one thing or another to make life better and infinitely more difficult. And it seems that Patrick Byrne, author of 'Danger Close: Domestic Extremist #1 Comes Clean,' took a trip through Alice in Wonderland where nothing was for sure and everything was possibly a ruse.
Certainly a brilliant man with a fascinating family history, after all he was taught about life and money by some of the most accomplished businessmen of our time, plus he received multiple graduate degrees in Philosophy from some the best universities in the world. But that did not stop him from stepping into government situations where red flags were all around… granted, he entered many of these circumstances with the best of intentions and sought to help others and do right by his country, the United States of America.
That said, this story took a turn during the time we all know about and have had shoved down our throats for years, the 2016 elections and the aftermath. Here is where Patrick Byrne was really in the Hall of Mirrors, and this book is so fascinating because it fills in so many blank spots, brings up players and situations not well known, and focuses around those blurry edges for our clarity. Risking it all, Byrne went above and beyond to uncover the truth and now he is sharing it at this crucial time. Hats off to him and God Speed!

‘Danger Close: Domestic Extremist #1 Comes Clean’ is shattering, compelling, crazy, depressing, timely, amazing, unbelievable and yet, based on recent events, highly believable. Patrick Byrne seems to be 20 different people all wrapped in single person with boundless intellect, energy and courage. His back door missions for various elements of the U.S. government led him into a murky world, especially after 2005, where friend was foe and vice versa.
It really starts with the impending economic meltdown of 2008, when for years the highly successful and educated Byrne tried to alert relevant authorities on systemic corruption on Wall Street and in the halls of power in Washington, whether it was regulatory, legislative or executive. Like those who were told about Madoff, his warnings were ignored for reasons that are convoluted and painfully obvious…it was a rigged game, a looting of investors and taxpayers for the benefit of insiders and powerful players. Patrick became crusader and target, but behind the scenes he was also involved in secret foreign missions only a private citizen, with certain skills and means, might be asked to perform.
Then the events from 2015 to now began with the run up to the 2016 election and all that high level mischief with a laptop, sting operations, Ukraine business and politics, Russia Collusion Hoax, Covid, dirty tricks, a Russian woman, blackmail, untimely demise, election uncertainty, censorship chaos and more. Patrick Byrne is a Renaissance Man whose story is the stuff of fiction, but alas ‘tis not fiction but real, oh so bloody real and oh so bloody scary!! Every citizen and student of history must read this book.

When reading ‘Danger Close: Domestic Extremist #1 Come Clean,’ by businessman-entrepreneur and secret federal government go-between Patrick Byrne, certain things kept rattling through the attic of my brain.
First, why should I believe him? Largely because he is not what British historian Paul Johnson tells us in ‘Modern Times’ is humanity’s recent scourge, “THE PROFESSIONAL POLITICIAN.” His involvement in certain events, like the 2020 election and murky tricks and political corruption in the U.S. in concert with ‘apparatchiks’ using the Soviet playbook, came about through circumstances and not, repeat not, Byrne’s overt desire, or need, for adventures in cuckoo land.
Second, building on, what does it all mean? History teaches us that when governments operate in realms of soap opera power struggles, with no thought for how policy is destroying the citizens, then red lights are blinking towards a complete collapse. Roman history shows how the practical, grounded and competent Flavian Dynasty saved Rome from the chaotic and often oppressive reign of all those Caesars. Seems we are in the time of Caesars with a twist of lime from a 1917 timesheet.
This book is full of wild stories and Byrne has been through the mill, but he stepped in with both feet and I fault him, with all his education and experience, for not seeing the ‘deep ideological bent’ of well-known politicians I could see with no contact and 1/1000th of his education or brains. But Patrick is a brave man with heroic intentions—standing back up and shoving all the garbage back down their throats takes guts, and that is more than enough for me to say read this book, and then buy it for 10 friends and read it again!!.

Good news -- it's a quick read. and it's kind of interesting. the book is structured as an interview -- but clearly not an interview where someone asks hard, probing questions -- more like a set up for him to tell his story. Patrick Byrne was actually a successful entrepreneur -- and seemingly also a very smart person who accumulated some interesting degrees. Perhaps he also helped the US government? It seems far fetched and he uses enough vague references to nameless people that i am sure I would find him not credible if i met him in person. Still, there's also some truth that is grabbed onto to create conspiracy theories and i am sure that buried in this book are some truths.
Did i come out of reading the book with a clearer vision of whether there was an election fraud? Nah.

Great book!!
Patrick Byrne is a Patriot. I wish he would have given Trump his information. I also wish Trump had followed his advice after the election was stolen. He may have saved America 4 yrs. Of our country being torn apart.
I hope Trump reads this book and becomes acquainted with Byrne in a deeper way. It's so sad Trump didn't listen to the 1 person who could of saved us dealing with the puppet Biden and Obama selling out our country.

I think every American should open their eyes and read this remarkable book. What Patrick does for our country is heroic and a little dumb putting his life in jeopardy. But thank God for him. I only pray that all of this will come out before Nov 2024 and that we can start turning this country around and get back to following the constitution as our Foreign Fathers wanted. Thank you Patric for all you do, please keep safe.

I will need to read this book again. There is so much information to absorb. I was mesmerized by the whole story. The information the author shared will be hard to comprehend with just one reading. Excellent “inside” information that underscores how difficult it is to know the “truth”. I have recommended this book to several friends already.

It is an amazing story of how our government works and how the agencies are all intertwined with power and deceitful practices. It sheds a lot of light on how Russian Collusion was set up even before Trump announced his candidacy and how the government set up Hillary for blackmail as well.

Quick but eye opening read. Personal account of the former CEO of Overstock.com and his unexpected service to the U.S. Government spanning 4 Presidents. I really enjoyed the personal insight into the inner workings of government; exposing the false narratives portrayed through MSM and social media. He discusses real world events offering frank behind the scenes perspectives rarely seen.
