Easy to read and very comprehensive for a dumbed f*ck like me who knows nothing about calisthenics to understand the basics of this sport.

I wish someone had handed me this book when I first started my calisthenics journey. Back then, I was completely on my own — no mentor, no clear guidance to learn basic calisthenics mechanics, so I had to piece it together through random internet content. This book does it cleaner and faster than 80% of that content.

What stands out:
• Wayne Foong keeps it clean and direct. Push, pull, squat progressions laid out like an actual playbook — modular, visual, no fluff.
• Easy to reference mid-workout without digging through motivational filler or overcomplicated jargon.

Where it’s not perfect:
• Don’t expect deep physiology or training theory here. It’s practical, hands-on, not academic.
• If you’re advanced, this will feel more like a solid refresher than groundbreaking new material.

Clear instructions, Great illustrations.

Gives you something worthwhile to work towards while making it fun with levels. 0 noise, all substance - great flip-through. A much better usage of time rather than watching millions of videos on YT.
