2.5 disturbing stars!
Mild spoilers(I'm angry and I can't shut tha hell up!)
This was a huelva disturbing read for me!
Thank God it was a short read,cuz I was feeling wooow...and not in the good way!
Usualy I don't write reviews for books I rate lower than 3*,but this one make me so mad that I had to write something!
I can't remember when I was more mad at some heroine in book like this one,Paisley.
She's a stripper...not willingly!She started strippin cuz she need money.
One night she picked up in bar some biker ashole,who raped and beat the shit out of her!
And morning after,instead going on police and report it...she run to another country...to another biker!!!!
Who BTW is brother of a rapist dude!!!!!!!
And when she again meet her rapist...she sits with him and his brothers to make lunch!!!????
See,told you...stupid as fuck!
And she fall in love with rapist dude brother,and he's all "You're too good for me,I don't deserve you...blah blah"
And a minute after that she jumps in bed with first biker who she see...and BTW that same biker is GAY...Yup,GAY and has a lover who is drama queen of biker dude...
See...my head is spinnin right now...

I have had the privilege to be along for the journey while Dawn wrote this novel. I have seen many different versions and changes to the book but I have to say, this is the best version to the story.
I am giant fan of the Her’s series. I can’t deny my love for it. I met Dawn after reading Seven’s book and falling in love with her humor and writing. I have been along for the ride to reading Star’s book and then even Kink the Halls where Paisley story begins. I have to say without a doubt that this book is a turning point for Dawn and the series. I believe with everything I have that this book is a stand out novel. I have had so many emotions while reading it. I laughed a lot, got wet panties from the hot sex, bawled my eyes out and was completely stressed out over the DRAMA……….
Paisley’s story is very heart wrenching. She has a major trauma and runs to big “sister’ Seven to protect her. When she can’t hide anymore she goes to Star’s house. Now we SEE this playing out in Kink the Halls but we don’t know everything. We see this budding relationship with Paisley and River. I was totally fist pumping because River is a good buy, a hot mess BUT a good guy. So when this book starts off I am ready with my “Team River” shirt on. WOW Was I so not expecting the crazy mind of Dawn to kick my butt. She did mega twist and turns from the Kink the Hall book and it left me yelling at River my book boyfriend. I was so mad at him I was happy Paisley ran in to the arms of fellow brother/biker member Diesel. So I threw my “Team River” shirt in the garbage and got a new “Team Diesel” shirt made. But per Dawns crazy mind, I was then digging through my garbage to pull the Team River Shirt back on….ugh the stress.
Now Paisley is a hot mess. Who does she love? And WHO is the baby daddy? Yes my friends she is knocked up AND to be honest I didn’t know who I wanted to be the daddy…River? Mr. Brooding, control freak who runs away cuz he is freaking out…OR..Diesel? Mr. Accountant by Day, hot sexy, sweet, charming, will wait for you forever bi-sexual biker….yes bi-sexual biker!!! Yes I DID type that twice!!! Lemme say it again ...BI-SEXUAL BIKER!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHH.........DIESEL!!!! Ok that is totally off my chest now....
Now while we are dealing with ALLLLLL THAT, we are still dealing with the trauma that happened to Paisley before coming back to town cuz that is kinda a REALLY big ISSUE for the clan, Seven and Levi are on the rocks and Star and Chrome are getting married? What? Yes my friends A LOT happens in this novel. AND AGAIN, I stress best novel of the series.
So If you love the books be ready. Be warned!!! I was snot sobbing in the beginning like 30 pages and Snot sobbing in the ending and stressed out in the middle……BUT I guarantee you will be so happy and so excited with the next installment. I am totally ready for the next books because this book builds up sooo much with the next few books!!!

5 Super Fantastic and Beyond AMAZING Stars....
OK, I LOVE Dawn Robertson and LOVE, LOVE this entire series of characters!!!!! Although this story took a turn (in a good way) that I so totally didn't expect, it was as spectacular as all of the other books in this series! I couldn't wait to get my hands on this book and as usual, it doesn't disappoint!!!!!! Cannot wait for more from this author and these awesome characters!!!!!!

I'm sorry, I am pretty easy to please but I found myself bored with this book. It wasn't awful but it was hardly good.

I received and ARC.
Wow. This book was fantastic. The author show us again that she excels at writing. All the emotions felt so real, it was like i was part of the book. I could relate to Paisley Bloom a lot. This is (for me) the best book in the series. This is not only Paisley´s story. We will see Star and her new life, and Seven, the strong woman that Paisley admires. For me Seven is such a hero. Shit happens, but the important thing is what we make of it.
This book was a rollercoaster of emotions, Dawn sure knows how to write.
I laughed, I cried, I was fucking wet, and i stressed myself because all of the drama.
This is for you Dawn, I fucking love you. 24 is my favourite number, Paisley is 24. I always try to find a book when someone had an abortion. I love red haired woman, and Paisley is red haired. YOU ARE MY FAVOURITE. THE BEST.
Paisley’s story is very heart breaking, it is so fucked up. She has a major trauma and runs to big “sister’ Seven to protect her. But she can not avoid Star forever. Things are not as expected. Is she ready to trust men? We all have demons, we are all fucked up in some ways. River is so kind to her, asn she starts falling for him, too fast and too soon. He is good with her, but he has his own battles to fight, so he keeps pushing her away.
We all made choices and we all regret some of them, but sometimes it is too late.
Paisley is in love with two men, one is River, the one who keeps pushing her away. One moment theya act so hot together and the other is so damn cold. He is worst than a girl with PMS. He drives her crazy! Then we have Diesel, he is like a teddy bear (do not get me wrong, like a teddy bear with batteries haha). He is so sweet and tender with her, but he also fucks her fast and rough.
Now she is given a second chance, she will not ruin it this time. She has to decide between River and Diesel. She knows deep inside that Diesel is the best choice, he is calm he does everything she wants, he does not push her away. But right now she has other things to take care of, like, who is the father of the baby she is carrying? I am 100% #TeamRiver what can i say, i just love hot mess, he needs to heal, i could help him! Control freak, and short tempered man, River could be a daddy. Or maybe the accountant, hot as hell BI-SEXUAL motrobiker.
But this is not the end, there will be another problems which I will not tell. Someone will get married, others will have babies and another person will loose it. Demons from Paisley past will appear again.
Be prepared and warned. You will cry, you will be stressed and your panties will be wet. This book has so good material for upcoming books. Like I said earlier, this is not only Paisley ´s story.

It contains situations that may be hard for some to read about, or not your cup of tea. Dawn has done an amazing job with writing This Girl Stripped, if you have loved Hers, Finding Willow and Kink the Halls you are going to have a love hate with this story. You are going to hate Dawn for making you cry but you are going to love this devastating story.
First off, Wow this book starts with a bang, it captured my attention from the first chapter and tears were forming from the first few paragraphs.
We meet Paisley, Star's younger sister; she is far away from her family in Daytona, Florida. As a last resort she is working as a stripper to keep a roof over her head. Paisley is a smart girl but makes a bad decision one night. What happens from this mistake has her running for her life, scared of what Star will say she calls Seven for help.
With thanksgiving approaching Seven, Levi and Paisley head back to Woodstock. Needing a place to regroup Paisley decides to stay with Star. When she first arrives she lays eyes on a gorgeous man with the most amazing green eyes, those eyes belong to River. While she is intimidated by the beautiful man in front of her their first meet is electric. River is a sexy, tattooed man with a big heart but sadly is doesn't think he is good enough for Paisley or anyone for that matter, he had a dark past that's holding him back from opening up to anyone. Will this dark past hold him back from what he wants...
Living at Stars has been therapeutic for Paisley a sanctuary, a place to heal. All this is about to change and become her hell...

I love this tight knit dysfunctional family. Seven is my favourite character in this series, she is a straight shooter, takes no shit, loves a good banter and some hot kink. But most of all she loves her family and she loves them fierce, she is the mother hen and will do anything to protect them.
"You aren't alone, Paisley. I am here with you every step of the way. I will never let you down, and I will protect you like the little sister you are to me"
I am loving this series to date and can't wait to read His. Dawn Robertson this book is amazing!

We first met Paisley Bloom, Star’s little sister, before This Girl stripped when she ran to Star’s best friend Seven when she was in trouble. It looked like she was hiding something, and she definitely had a thing for Star’s boyfriend Chrome’s brother River. I thought her book was going to be about how Paisley and River finally get together, and get their happy every after out in the sticks of Woodstock.
This book was so much more than that. As usual, Dawn Robertson takes the story to where you never expected it would go. Paisley actually is the only Bloom who wants more for herself. Star realized she wanted more out of life after years of using her body as a way to forget her horrible past, but Paisley wants to rise above all of that. She is the only one of her sisters that managed to keep her self-respect and virtue, but one night of bad judgment took it all away from her in an instant. She runs to Seven, who may be a bad ass in everything else, but as she truly loved Paisley as a sister she stood by her as if she were her own blood. It made me see Seven in a new way. Seven would still totally scare me if I ever met her, but she definitely has a bigger heart than she shows to most people.
Paisley goes back to Woodstock, where you would think would start her story with River. But she meets another amazing man named Diesel. He has his skeletons in the closet for sure, and like River, his current and past sexual tendencies makes Paisley question whether or not they should be together. Each man wants Paisley very badly, but only one has the courage to actually stand by her, even when this confusing and intense love triangle starts to have serious consequences.
I loved Diesel. He was a beautiful teddy bear of a man who lived to make Paisley happy. But…knowing what his past was like, I had reservations about if he could commit to Paisley for the long haul. I was also disappointed in River. I wanted to understand more about him - why he was the way he was with women, and why he always felt the need to push Paisley away. I was just as confused as Paisley for much of this book.
I really love how this series evolved from the first book, Hers. I love how Seven and Star have become protective mother hen’s, but still have that sexy, I-don’t-believe-they-just-did-that spark they had from the beginning. It gets better with every book, and I can’t wait for more!

what I say......I think I'm getting over my aversion to first person present tense! took me a while to realise that's how its written! anyway, the book....is dark, deep and so full of emotions I cried in places, I really did. rape, abortion, abuse, revenge, mental illness, all dealt with in the book, and dealt with so very well. a massive cast of sub characters, with other story lines as well as Paisley's, make this a not-a-quick read (although I read it in one sitting!) you need to be able to shut the world off, and just READ! told from Paisley's point of view from the beginning, it would have been nice to hear from Diesel and/or River as well. you never get to the bottom of River, and I wonder if there will be another book, telling his story. I WILL read it, if there is. this does have a happy ending, not the one I thought it would be, either, so it is a stand alone. it is not, however, a fluffy romance. these characters have dealt with, and still deal with, some deep shit. if YOU can deal with the sort of characters who are damaged, then read the book.
the only reason I took that half fang off was, some things that Paisley's sisters have dealt with are not made particularly clear. or maybe it was just me. still, I would like to read more of this author, as and when any more books arrive!
ps, since loading this review, I have discovered this is book 4, and the story lines I was not sure about were in previous books. these books are now sat on my wish list!! AND river's story is to come at some point :-)

This is my first Dawn Robertson book, and I loved it! This could be read as a standalone, but if you're interested in Paisley's sister, Star and Seven-their story can be read in sequence. Honestly, I didn't feel like I needed to read the other books first, because Robertson did a great job incorporating every one's story in This Girl Stripped.
Paisley has had a rough life, and doesn't make the best choices. This book is definitely not for those sensitive to rape, abortion, and abuse. It may not be for everyone, but I respect where Paisley is coming from. All she wants is to start over, but it's difficult when she doesn't know how or where she can settle down. Looking for a fresh start, she goes to her surrogate big sister, Seven.
Seven is such a bad ass and I love her attitude. She's always there for Paisley and Star, and has no trouble standing up for what is right. During Thanksgiving, Paisley goes to Woodstock with Seven so she can stay with Star and get her life in order. There she meets River, with his beautiful green eyes and gentle touch; However, she also meets Diesel (who is in his own love triangle that will be revealed later).
I'm not normally a fan of love triangles because there is so much drama involved and it drives me crazy, but this was done right. I felt the right man for Paisley was an easy choice, and even though she had a hard time choosing at first, it became clear to her who she should be with. This book has some major ups and downs. Especially when I loved every crazy train moment, and it was easy to read in one sitting. I'm happy with the way Paisley's story played out and how she finally got the HEA she deserves.

This Girl Stripped was fast-paced and the plot moved along rapidly. However, it was necessary to move events along because we already know much about Paisley from the previous books in the series. This book really gives us a picture of how Paisley feels and just how complicated she is. I couldn’t connect with Paisley like I could with Seven and Star because there were too many inconsistencies in her character. For example, her hair color changed from the last book and her age also changed throughout this book. Therefore, I couldn’t get a clear picture of her in my head as I read her story.
Despite the one drawback I still enjoyed this addition to the Hers series even though it didn’t end how I wanted. I am a fan of love triangles and found myself anxiously reading to see who she would choose.
I have fallen in love with River’s character and the darkness he hides was definitely a surprise to me while reading. Ever since he was a crutch to Star I thought of him as one of my favorites! I do hope the author writes more of him in the future!
Again, this book tackles difficult and controversial topics. I believed the author handled the difficult portrayal of a woman’s reproductive choice very tactfully and didn’t shy away from the emotions one feels after making such a choice. This book may not be suitable for those who do not want to read about such a circumstance.

The things I love and hate in this book is kinda equal. More on the good side though. One thing you should know (or not) is that I have only read the first book Hers. So I don't really know what happend with the other characters.
Anyway! The things like first. Softens the things I don't like about this book.:)
- Paisley is a strong character. I just adore strong characters. It didn't take her FOREVER to get over her problems. She just took life's shit and threw it right back.
- I had no idea who she would end up with. River or Diesel. I'm just happy that she did end up with HIM (I won't tell you who! Just read it).
- The story didn't take forever. It didn't dwell on the months after the rape. It didn't go into detail about how sad she was and how depressed she was. Like New Moon <- that is the most boring book I have ever finished seriously. (NO OFFENSE TO NEW MOON LOVERS)
Now onto the things I didn't like.
- The Triangle. This is probably my fault since i didn't read the summary well. But I hate triangles. This is just for me a lot of people love triangles and you might too.:) I just hate all the drama in triangles. But this really didn't have any angst so it's kinda a neutral thing. I guess? (Darn I suck at this!)
- How quickly she was able to have sex again. I'm not sure how this works since I don't know any rape victims but I am pretty sure there is gonna be a trauma. I don't think it would be that easy for a victim to allow the self to be touched again, but it might just depend on what kind of person you are. But as I said Paisley is a really a strong girl.
- I didn't really feel the connection between the characters. Between Paisley and River, and Paisely and Diesel. I just didn't feel the fire? Spark? Whatever you call it. If the story was a little bit longer then Dawn could have shown more of their connection is what I think. But what I think doesn't matter so READ IT!
As y'all can see the things I didn't like is really useless and has nothing to do much with the story but more on my opinion. So try it and read it. You might just like it.:)

If you do not like reading about abuse, sex, or violence, I strongly suggest that this book is not for you. This isn’t your average romance. I was pulled in from the very first chapter of the book; Paisley Bloom is just an average girl, trying to make it on her own. When she needs fast cash, she takes up stripping at a local club. After a horrible exchange with a customer one night, she is robbed of the one thing she always kept for herself, her virginity. Fleeing the pain and horror of the situation, Paisley ends up returning home. This is where the story takes drastic turns and keeps you intrigued. Two hot bikers, one broken girl, all with issues of their own… this makes for one great story. Choices are made, lives are turned upside down, and hearts are broken. Can Paisley make the right choices to free herself?
I love when a book makes you think, “Wow, what the heck just happened?” That’s when I know it’s a good one. What I took away from this story is there is always a silver lining in tragedy and the easiest choice may not always be the best. This book is part of the Hers Series, but can be read as a standalone. I have not read the other books in the series, but after reading This Girl Stripped, I definitely will be reading more by Dawn Robertson.

Paisley didn't think that things could get any worse than what happened to her in Florida....but boy was she wrong. After leaving Florida and getting the love and support she needed from Seven and Levi to get her back on her feet after her tragedy of stripping, rape, brutal beating and then an abortion when she gets to NYC, could things get any worse....
Paisley finally gets to Woodstock to be with her sister Star but she finds out Star has a new boyfriend Chrome that has a brother Zane in Florida! which happens to show up for Thanksgiving dinner and of course you know he happens to be Chromes brother and the man that happened to rape and beat her and take her virginity and get her pregnant all in one tragic night....can she survive ??
Can River or Diesel break her out of her own hell she thinks she is in.....can she be in love with 2 different men ? One that runs every time they get close and one that loves her the moment he lays his eyes on her and is willing to give her the time and space she needs to figure out her life and says...he will be waiting for her.
I want my own Diesel, a man that is willing to give up his life, job, friends and motorcycle family is a KEEPER !!

I'm raging!!! This book deals with rape and other controviertial subjects. But I'm not raging about that.
The characters were 1 dimensional . The heroin was annoying and frustrating, she's all -
Oooohhh I really like River but he left me before we could get it on, so I think I'll sleep with his best friend... Boohoo me, now he's angry I slept someone else, blah, blah, blah.
She irritated me with the love triangle! With her whole shallow, self centered, demeanor of I love you both but I can't choose. Who shall it be??? Then fate steps in.
Then she doesn't even get with the guy I want!! Every woman in this book turns into a whiney witch!!! And what the hell was that ending? It was unfinished, when a guy walks in with a person who's a carbon copy of Paisley (the main character) I want a throw down, a confession of love, but noooooo, it just ends with her happy with her chosen one.
I'm not happy with this book, can yah tell?!?!

Maybe it's just me.... Others seem to have liked it... I'm not judging... Much. Okay I am, why???

I received an ARC for an honest review...
Starting out, you read about Paisley trying to make a little bit of money so she wont be homeless. She meets Zane at the club she works at, but she didn't know accepting a ride home from him, would lead to her getting beat. Scared to death, she runs home and lives with Seven. Thanksgiving comes, she goes to live with Star. There, she meets River and Diesel, and find out her attacker is also River's brother. You would think, she would want to guard her self from any man, but yet she doesn't. She goes out with River and Diesel, at different times. Sleeping with them both just weeks apart, she gets pregnant. Not knowing who is the father, River tries to be there but its just hard for him. Paisley stays with Diesel, and moves forward. The ending was really sweet and nice, but I feel like there is some messing. What happens with River??? Why did he give up so easily even after the news? I feel like there should have been more to the story. But from the way the book went, I enjoyed it.

This series is addicting! Dawn had me hooked since the beginning with Seven's story, Hers. Then I absolutely LOVED Star's story in Finding Willow (probably my favorite so far) but now that I've read Paisley's story... pheewwww! Again, great series - they're hot but emotional! They're f'ed up stories but so great at the same time! You just love all the characters (or love to hate them)!
I thought Star's story was pretty emotional but Paisley's is right up there too! The things that poor girl goes through! Just a FYI - so from reading Kink the Halls, you think this will be Paisley and River's story. Well it is, but it isn't. Dawn really did a doosy on this one with adding unexpected plot twists. And Paisley does get a happily ever after, which I think she definitely deserves!
It's a great continuation of the series, you see all of the same great characters and how their new lives are progressing. These are funny, sexy and quick reads! Another hot job well done Dawn! Can't wait for His (Seven and Levi's second book)!

I am trying to figure out how to write this interview without giving anything away. Let me start by telling you that this book bowled me over. This isn’t your typical erotic/ romance novel. This is darker and grittier and touches on some not-quite-so delicate subjects. I loved it, every freaking second of it. Dawn Robertson made me care for Paisley so much that it felt like I was part of her life. Despite the crap hand that Paisley had been dealt in life, she was one strong woman. She is forced to make some tough choices and does what she has to do to survive. Life eventually takes her to her sister in Upstate New York where she meets two men , River and Diesel, who both become a major part of her life and have intriguing stories of their own. Diesel = yum. Something about that man makes my heart beat a whole lot faster. This book takes you on a roller coaster ride of twists and turns. It is emotional, graphic, harsh, unflinching and beyond addictive.

Well I'm not going to say too much because these are books you just have to read. Dawn has done it again though!! This can be read as a stand alone, but I strongly suggest reading the other books first so you know the back ground of everyone. Paisley is a great character and stronger then she knows. She was easy to relate to and I enjoyed her character. This is a touching, down to earth story that will probably make you mad at some points and laugh at others.

I have to admit I get lost to all the characters in this book and surely I was damn wrong reading the third book rather than the starting on Book 1. Damn Paisley there are moments I'm so irritated to you. The way you think and your actions seems irrational most of the time. I also get lost with River. One day he's there for you and next thing you know he's gone. I know he has a fucked up past and surely can't wait to read his story. As for Diesel damn your so hot. At first for me its really odd, the story between him and Ryder but gladly in the end you stayed and loved Paisley more than I ever expect. I'm totally swoon over Diesel. Its very unnerving what happen to Paisely Bloom that October night and in the end she deserved a good life, a good husband and a happy family. Yup I'm planning to get on it on the very beginning of their story. It surely will give me few goosebumps to experienced this to all of them.

This is my first Dawn Robertson book, and I liked it! This could be read as a standalone. This book is definitely not for those sensitive to rape, abortion, and abuse. This book has some major ups and downs.
It may not be for everyone, but I respect where Paisley is coming from. All she wants is to start over, but it's difficult when she doesn't know how or where she can settle down. Looking for a fresh start, she goes to her surrogate big sister, Seven. Seven is such a bad ass and I love her attitude. She's always there for Paisley and Star, and has no trouble standing up for what is right.She meets River, with his beautiful green eyes and gentle touch; However, she also meets Diesel (who is in his own love triangle that will be revealed later).
I'm not normally a fan of love triangles because there is so much drama involved and it drives me crazy, but this was done right.

Amazing twist
I love this series! Ever since I first picked up "Hers" I became addicted to this seriously crazy family. When I first started this book I expected it to be Paisley and River's story. This was based on the snippet we saw in "Kink the Halls." I couldn't have been more wrong. This is 100 percent Paisley's story. This is about her journey and the horrible tragedy that happened to bring her to Woodstock. But most importantly it is her path to healing. Paisley does get her happy ending and even though it is not anything like I expected I loved how she ended up. My heart still hurts for her and all she went through and the people involved but in the end I believe it all worked out for the best. If

Another Winner
This was another wonderful read. I am really drawn in by these characters. They grab hold of you and stay in your head for quite a while after you finish the book. Paisley and Diesel are great together, he has a beautiful soul and his love for Paisley shines through in every action he does. I love that all the characters in the previous books are included in each new story, they just make it more interesting to read. I have yet to try to work out River's actions and where he will now fit in with the story, he is going to be a hard nut to crack. Seven is one of my favorite characters and I feel for her, she is such a complicated person and I look forward to reading more about her in 'His'. Great read once again.

This Girl Stripped is definitely Dawn´s best book so far. She blew me out of the water with Paisley´s story.
Very addictive and unputdownable.
This Girl Stripped delivers very interesting blend of deep poignant emotions and Dawn´s signature – hot sex scenes.
Paisley´s journey is gut wrenching and devastating and touching. Her life has thrown her punches form different sides and if we add her mistakes, it is really heart breaking and messed up.
Grab your tissue box. You sure gonna need it. A lot.

Some people lives take the hard road and hit rock bottom before they finally find the right road to happiness. Paisley story finally hits rock bottom when she is rapped and fall pregnant. She can call her family for help so she calls the next best thing. Seven help her through the roughest part then reunites her with her sister which takes her back home where she grew up. Coming back from the pits of hell to discover how strong she is. The next thing is to find a man to love her for whom she is. Then she meets Diesel a hard core bike. So now let the roller coaster ride begin and see if Paisley can over come her past and discover that she is worth finding Love.

After reading every book in the "Hers" series, I was so excited to read Paisley's story. The lives of all the characters are less than ideal, growing up in unconventional and traumatic circumstances, Seven, Star, Paisley and Journey all have some demons they have to face. This is where I warn you to read the warning of this book and take it to heart. There are scenes that will rip your heart out.

Okay, so even though I wasn't crazy about this book, as I wasn't about the others in the series, I decided I had to give it 4 stars for the simple fact that I had given only 3 to the others, but this one actually had a story, so I felt obligated. I felt as though she tried to make up for not having much of a story line in the others, by putting way too much in this one. There was a lot going on! I'm going to stop with that, I don't have many great things to say about these books, sorry...
