3 - 3.5 smut-scale stars!
The second book in this series follows Avel the Executioner and Raine the Pirate. Stuck on the primal plant, Raine is now in Avel’s orbit and he’ll never let her go.
Raine will fight tooth and nail to get away. Well until…of course…her body betrays her and she craves the discipline and ownership only Avel can give her.
This was short with LOTS of Dom/sub steam. Spankings and punishments. Easy plot with a HEA. A fun read.

Dark Alien Romance Indeed
Wow! This book was dark and gritty and intense. I’m not a big fan of these types of alien romance, BDSM is just not my kink of choice, but the story was engrossing and sometimes hilarious. Raine was just as twisted as her Saurian mate with so much snark! I may or may not read the next book.

No me gustó nada este libro. Literal le di 1 estrella y porque no se puede poner cero. La historia se siente forzada, incómoda y nada atractiva. Sé que es romance oscuro, pero aquí no hay ni trama sólida, ni crecimiento emocional, ni química real. Solo control, manipulación y una relación completamente desequilibrada que intentan vender como deseo o conexión.
La protagonista parece existir únicamente para ser dominada y controlada, sin agencia ni profundidad, y el protagonista masculino… simplemente abusivo, no “intenso” ni “feral” ni nada de lo que intentan justificar. Nada de esto me pareció romántico, ni sexy, ni interesante. Solo me dio fastidio y ganas de cerrar el libro.
Entiendo que hay gente que disfruta este tipo de historias, pero para mí fue un NO enorme. No conecté, no lo disfruté, y honestamente salí con cara de “¿por qué me hice esto?”.
Definitivamente no lo recomiendo.

Fully enjoyable 😉
These are cute little stories. It's not real long, but it's definitely over the top. Lol. Lots of alphas n sexy times n some violence. For sure, it's different than what I am used to, but that's fine. A nice little change of pace. Very enjoyable characters. The series is fascinating and hard to put down. I think I'm going on the last book n can say I'm sorry to see the series end. Each book is interconnected, but each has its own plot, n it's fun getting to know the different people. Well written n definitely entertaining. HEAS

This series certainly keeps you guessing on what will happen next 😄. Both Captain's have been taken captive by the top two Alphas on this planet and have fallen in Love with them 😍. Meanwhile, the pirate ship is falling apart cuz the Captain's aren't there 😉. Thanks again Loki, I'm enjoying this story immensely and can't wait to read the next 🤓.

Loki Renard snark was in full force in this book,making it a humorous read,however I'm super confused about the friendship dynamics now,because in book one solid friendships were established,and now I have no idea of how relationships got derailed. Interesting new characters are introduced,and I look forward to reading the next book!

I loved Primal, but I loved Captive even more. It's darker and more intense. The characters are amazing, as always, and their chemistry is great so you get a lot of sexiness. I loved the amount of action and excitement, and the fast pace kept me glued to the pages. It's another quick, weekend read.

Book two has been a deeper read and absolutely entertaining. The main characters were perfectly suited, and the plot thickens. Although the story in complete in and of itself, I’m very much looking forward to the next book.

Good
I like how Sullivan and Raine have I resolved issues that aren't resolved by the end of this story. Yeah, Sullivan had a chip in her head and Raine can't accept authority over her. So, I'm glad that things are unresolved between them.

The enforcer, Avel has taken Raine as his mate with discipline and hot chemistry. Raine pushes his buttons, which is entertaining especially when he first takes her it his perch. These two are really endearing in this well written book.

DNF at 76%….it just got worse and worse and it didn’t start out great. Incredibly unlikable characters. I don’t have an issue with rough power play but I do have an issue with not listening.

Oh clearly Raine is in need of law, order and discipline. Avel knows exactly what he wants and needs to do. I loved this gritty and hot tale. I want so much more!
