It's facinating reading this book 22 years on and seeing what is still relevant (commercialisation of education), what has changed (the specific technological challenges), and what is circling round (in 2002 artificial intelligence tools appeared to have been left back in the '90s).

Looking back 22 years, I'd say this reads as a very insightful book for its time, with some sections that are relevant today.
