A Dark ice Hockey Romance. I was the troublemaker kid they were embarrassed by, who wore ripped jeans, combat boots, and vintage rock band t-shirts. I was covered in ink that snaked around my arms, neck and legs and made people stare. I didn't fit into this preppy school let alone the Ice Hockey team.
Book was great. Would have been a 5 star read but didnt know it ended on a cliffhanger with no release date available for next book, so I knock stars off.
I was lucky enough to Beta read this and 🥵🥵🥵 I quickly fell in love with Nate and Asher and my only “complaint” is that this was a novella and I was left hanging! Meanwhile, it is BRILLIANT and I need the rest!!! Honestly, all I can say is “give me more” - I love the dynamic, the pace, the Universe (St Ivy is firmly in my Top 5 Series of all time). Everything flows beautifully.
If you haven’t already, go and read The Savage Kings of St Ivy as well - you can thank me later.
What a novella. I need more of these two now! This was definitely a well done tease. Character details and introductions, there's definitely plot and the added spicy tension is off the chart. The taste of apice is done so well as alwasy is with Melinda's writing. That line at the end by Nate was hobestly perfect.
I need more. Nate and Asher are new found step siblings. Hate knows what he wants but Asher is still hiding who he is. 44 pages that leaves you yearning for more. I need to know how Nate gets back at Asher. Does Asher claim his true feelings for Nate. Melinda you are pure evil leaving us hanging! The only reason I rate 4 stars was because its too short.
Stepbrothers + Hockey with an "enemies" type of vibe? I'm all here for it, but just from this brief glimpse into Nate and Asher's story they are definitely toxic to each other (more so Asher to Nate), but a lot of the times it makes it a great love story (in the book world). Now when do I get their full book?
We meet Nate and Asher who end up being on the same hockey team even though Nate is reluctant and Asher just wants his new found Step Brother to leave so he doesn’t feel the way he does.
Nate has a hard storyline, nothing is as it seems and things get messy.
Melinda does it again! Ropes you in from the very first line of the book and keeps you so invested with each word delivered. Her execution is flawless in the way she portrays her characters and the way you feel what Nate is feeling. Definitely wish we had more of these two!
I really wish this was longer. Melinda’s writing is so addicting and fast paced that it’s impossible to put it down! This was only in Nate’s POV with a mild spice scene and I needed more!!!
Omg, I want more! 😭 I loved this one so much and I'm so sad it's already over! Please Mel, tell me we're going to read more about them in the future? 😍
