Pursuing your dreams comes at a price — Drew Hudson, a film photographer, has completely lost their way. Struggling to adjust to life as a portrait photographer after years in photojournalism, Drew is hired to shoot a sapphic proposal. But when the gig turns out to be a double proposal, they have to learn how to compromise with competing, digital photographer, Rose.

Rose Miller may not have formal training, but she knows what a good photograph looks like. Bubbly and outgoing, Rose wants to make the best of being forced to work with grumpy Drew, if only to help her friends’ engagement go smoothly.

Asked to work together to curate their final images, Rose and Drew struggle to find to find common ground.

But a request from the brides-to-be that the two photographers work together to capture their special day comes with a price tag too tempting to turn down.

Can the unlikely pairing find the magic, or will they be just too different to meet in the middle?

Picture Us is a sapphic (NBLW), enemies-to-lovers, workplace romance with a whole lot of steam.

Again, as with previous ratings and reviews, the obvious lack of quality editing is disappointing… especially when the alternative could vastly elevate this reader’s engagement, entertainment and enjoyment.

FYI, the apparatus used to slow or stop a motor vehicle are the BRAKES, not BREAKS; oh, please?

Such a simple thing, but when these type of mistakes are found repeatedly, it becomes almost tedious reading, whilst expecting more errors to follow. For myself, the lack of decent editing is jarring and completely detracts from what was otherwise a great story with compelling lead characters… a really great story!

I Loved It!

Most, maybe all of us, are a bit broken in some way. And seeing the MC’s struggling with their own issues makes them feel more real in a story.

Drew has issues and so does Rose. And those issues are part of what drew them together as well as what threatens to drive them apart.

That’s the core of this story, can they get past the issues or will those issues be the end of them?

A strikingly good nb+w lovestory!! Vry few others *ever* portray enbies as mc's and fewer do it right (in my own opinion, obvs) and the underlying arc of "film photographer against/with digital photographer?" OH my goddess, yes, attraction on top of intellectual competition is sooo pretty & fun!
