Die For Me

Rate this book
Before that fateful day in February, I thought I had life all figured out. I thought I would hate him for what he had done to me. But I didn’t. I loved him more than I ever thought possible. Maybe it was Stockholm Syndrome. Or maybe it was the realization that I needed him more than I thought I ever would. I knew I could never leave because I didn’t want to; being without him only terrified me more. Yet another unexpected bump in the road made me desperate to get what I wanted—what I deserved. But what if what I wanted turned out to be my nightmare? What if what I deserved meant pining for something that wasn’t ever really there?

Die For Me is the second book in the Consumed series. It contains dark, heavy topics and explicit sexual content. Please check trigger warnings before reading.

HOLYYYYY FREAKINGGGG 🤯🤯

Wow.. I don’t know what to say, I am left speechless.
This whole time I was hating the wrong guy.. I mean I’m not saying what he did in book one and stuff was okay, but damnnnnnnn.🫥🫥
WTH Michael.
Like you really had us fooled there and the fact that you did that to not one, but multiple people WHAAATTTTT💀💀
Hana, Hana, ohhh HANAAAAA.
What was going on in that head of yours like your cousin Emily and friend Billie I was trying to figure out why you would still stick around after they both showed their “crazy” sides..

Cassandra again did an outstanding job with book two, it gets you hooked from the start I could not put the book down I literally took it everywhere just to know WTH was going to happen next!!
And then that damn cliffhanger againnnn, like CASSANDRA why do you have to do us like that againnnnn🫠🫠😭😭

I def recommend reading book one and then this one book two BUT BEFORE YOU DO DEF CHECK TRIGGER WARNING there’s a lot of things happening here.

This book picks up right where the last one left off. We get Jack and Michael POVs with this one. This book is dark and full of triggers, if you have a lot of triggers this probably isn't for you. Abortion and suicide threats mentioned below. As with the first book, I didn't love it but I couldn't put it down. Thankfully it's only like 273 pages this time.

Beware of spoilers below. General safety note - this book is about a love triangle there is explicit on page sex with the heroine and both men. No other OW/OM drama.

Hana is pregnant and not happy. She doesn't know who the father is. Jack initially assumes it's him until she informs it might not be. She kind of wants an abortion, Jack wants a paternity test. If it's his he wants to keep it and if not he wants an abortion. Hana is unhappy in general. Jack caused her to miss/forget her depo shot appt resulting in the unwanted pregnancy.

She tries to evade him and get an abortion but can't get it done that day and ends up kidnapped by Michael who is very angry over a sex tape that Jack sent him of Hana and Jack. Michael doesn't want her to have the abortion either since it could be his baby.

We see a darker and scarier side of Michael here. He's definitely no longer the victim. Eventually Hana is able to help Jack locate where Michael is keeping her captive and she takes back her power after being caught between them. She threatens to commit suicide if they don't agree to share her. neither of them want to share her but they don't want to lose her either so they call a tentative truce. There is a lot of threesomes in this portion of the book. Hana does take abortion pills to end the unwanted pregnancy.

Both men are plotting against each other but Michael is going darker and plotting to kill Jack to get him out of the picture. Hana is still hopelessly torn between them. Eventually, a former submissive comes to Hana and reveals Michael's abusive past and she decides to leave him- so of course, he kidnaps her. He gets much meaner and darker despite seeming to love her. He definitely abuses her.

Eventually she tries to kill herself and Michael by swerving the car Michael was driving into an oncoming car. Thankfully, the other driver avoided them but they crashed into a tree. Michael was fine and arrested. She was injured but ultimately ok.

She ends up happily with Jack. The book ends with a threatening note from Michael after he's about to get out of prison. I'm just going to pretend I didn't read that part because I'm not sure I'm reading the other book. It's about Jackie, the submissive that Michael abused before Hana.

Let me just say… this book starts off fast and crazy and maintains that stamina throughout the entire book. Also let me say… I was sent this book to read without knowing it was book 2 in a series. That being said… I didn’t feel lost and confused while reading it and I will go find book 1 to read and fill in some of the pieces!!!

Our 3 main characters are Hanna, Jack, and Michael. Throughout this book… you realize more and more that each character is mentally unstable… in different ways! Both men are in love with Hanna. Obsessively and Dangerously so. This book starts with Hanna. Jack had kidnapped her and forced her to marry him. While she was kidnapped… she actually fell in love with him. Prior to this…. Hanna was engaged to Michael. As the story unfolds you realize that Michael had been stalking Hanna and Jack since the day Jack took her. He even rented an apartment directly across from Jack and Hanna’s apartment.

During this time we are introduced to Emily, Hanna’s best friend and cousin. Jack had been restricting Hanna from seeing or talking to Emily. Emily took into her own hands one day and followed Jack to see where they were living.

Amongst all of this action Hanna finds out she’s pregnant. Jack had cameras set up throughout their apartment so… he saw her while she did the at home pregnancy tests. It’s then that she realizes that she doesn’t know which man is the father as Michael had kidnapped her back after she married Jack and they were intimate. Jack takes her to an OBGYN to confirm the pregnancy and to see how soon they could do a paternity test. It was too soon. And wouldn’t you know… Michael finds this out and what does he do… he kidnaps Hana again.

This book is hottttt! You have suspense, spice, twists and turns, enemies to lovers, Dom/Sub, and so so much more!!!

This is my first read by this author and it will not be my last one!! I’m hoping to find book 1 in this series and then see what else she has out and yall should too!!!

Die For Me is book 2 in Cassandra Vega’s consumed series and picks up where Don’t Leave Me leaves off.

When I say this book had so many twists and turns that I wasn’t expecting & didn’t see coming… the level of unhinged in this book grows exponentially and I loved it. You think book one is unhinged? Just wait for this one.

I loved the different POV’s from each character. Being able to see their perspectives & what’s going through their heads really gets such a deeper picture of everything going on. (Especially the villain of the book).

The level of spice in this book is kicked up so many notches. I didn’t think it could get any spicier but… Cassandra definitely proved me wrong on that front.

I loved this one so much, and this series has gotten me out of a reading slump. I’m eagerly awaiting book 3 now.

**Please check trigger warnings!! This one was much darker than book one.**

🌶🌶🌶🌶

I had so much fun reading this book. The writing, pacing, and spice were good. Check your triggers because this book is DARK.

To Die For was full of twists and turns, I didn't know what to expect. And when I thought I had it figured out, I was proven wrong. If you love your MMC morally black, this is your book. And the ending 🤯

If you love dark romance full of suspense and a plot twist that keeps twisting, read this series. Book 1, Don't Leave Me, and then dive into Die For Me.

🖤Enemies to Lovers
🖤Stockholm Syndrome
🖤Love Triangle
🖤Stalking

I had the absolute honor beta reading this book!

THIS BOOK GAVE ME TRUST ISSUES WITH A SIDE OF WHIPLASH! No, but seriously, the plot was plotting, and the spice was spicy with this one!! This story was an insane and emotional rollercoaster of a read. I didn't expect anything that happened in the last 10 or so chapters of this book. I don't regret anything except for one thing (but that would be a spoiler), so find out for yourself!

I knew Cassandra was going to blow this second book out of the water! Her writing style and plots are all consuming!

Die For Me is book two of the Consumed Series and picks up exactly where book one left us. This is definitely a dark read so make sure you check your trigger warnings before reading.

There were so many twists and turns I had to keep reading to get all of my questions answered. It was absolutely amazing! I wish I could go back and reread it.

The spice was top notch.

That epilogue ending 🤯. That's all I am going to say. I don't want to ruin the ending for anyone. Definitely read it. It's soooooo gooood!

I really enjoyed this book! Cassandra really upped her smut game and you can see such beautiful growth in her writing! She definitely had me throwing my kindle. I was not happy about my man being the WORST! But, that’s life! We’re often faced with things we didn’t want to see coming! Or we did see them and just ignored them haha!

Looking forward to book three and anything else by this author! I really love her writing and can’t wait to see what she cooks up next. Can’t say I’m a fan of Jack though. I’m stubborn like Hana, I guess 🤣 just the opposite way hahaha!

Please take heed to those TWs!

Ohhhh boy! This book was a hot mess of lies, betrayal, stalking, terror, spice, mystery, and so much more!  It was so damn good! I've literally been on the edge of my seat while reading this book. It makes you think one thing, but it's something totally different! I was left guessing and going what?! Wtf?! That first part of the ending?! Gahh! That very end though?! That freaking plot twist?! Makes your heart skip a beat in fear and excitement of what's to come. This was definitely a rollercoaster of a read.

This book omg this was wild the turns and constant plot twists and tugging back and forth between Michael and Jack 😮‍💨😮‍💨 especially those chapter where HANA gets what she wants out of them 👏🏽👏🏽 I was like yes girl you know how to get your clap back. I genuinely loved this book all though it stomped all over my feelings sometimes I need a book to remind me what a sensitive little bitch I am and this book did just that. If your into morally black characters that will constantly mind fuck you (and well just fuck you😂) this book is it.

When I say this is a dark romance, I'm not joking! These MMCs aren't morally grey, they are a sinful charcoal black. I had no idea what to expect from one chapter to the next! The book was so full of twists and turns that I didn't know who to trust, who to suspect, or what was going to happen next!

Remember to buckle up before you go on this thrilling rollercoaster ride, and please be mindful of the trigger warnings, because this book does not pull its punches!

This book hurt my brain. I love a good book that crushes my emotions, but this one crushed my entire thought process. Everything I thought and hoped for was a damn lie. I absolutely love this book. Although Hana was really starting to push me over the edge, she found her voice. And she also found her “ knight in morally grey amour. “ the ending though… the book is a 5 star, the ending is a 1, ONLY BECAUSE WHY THE F**K DID IT HAVE TO END ON A CLIFF HANGER !?!?!?!

What a plot twist at the end! The whole way through I was team Michael! By the end, I was definitely team Jack!! This was a very spicy and fun read. The banter back and forth between all of the characters was great. The story did a great job of keeping you guessing and wanting to keep going. The plot twist at the end was a great Segway for the next book!

Wow I can’t what I read. This story had me on a chock hold and the mind twist. This is a very intense dark read that I have no words to explain the story. I am all in for this series and I loved how it keeps me on edge throughout this and that cliffhanger with this series. I can’t wait for the next book as I need the next book.

Leaving off from where book 1 ended at its cliffhanger, we are now in a poly relationship, 3’s company now that Hana is in charge. Why choose? But we quickly start to see that our sweet and loving Michael is a facade of a very demented man. How will Jack protect his naughty wife Hana when she is so blind to loving Michael? With the help of a few friends and family, Hana will soon see Michael for who he truly is. New character with a small intro from book one, Jackie is properly introduced to assist on helping Hana free herself from the bind Michael has on Hana’s heart, but does Jackie have anterior motives behind the rescue?
This book had me on a hold, needing to know what was next. Cassandra has a great way of making you feel as you are in the story.

Man oh man! Hooked from the beginning!! Realized this was book 2. Had to go read book 1 then come back. But Die For Me was such a psychological masterpiece! Love, love, love Hana’s character development! The absolute instability of all the characters make it very fast paced! Think you have it all figured out? SIKE! Cassandra Vega created such a beautiful tantalizing romance with so so much in between.

Got this book as an ARC for an honest review 🙂
Oh wow this book !.
Went straight into this book from book 1 and the twist and turns through this book had my head spinning.
I honestly couldn't keep up it was fast pace, left me shouting at my kindle and I was totally loving every second!!
If you haven't read the first then please do and please read the Trigger warning because these books aren't for the light hearted that's for sure. It even had me questioning things 🤣
The ending of this book where you think yes its all okay now to turn out something completely different 🤣🤦‍♀️
Would totally recommend if you love a fast pace book, red flags everywhere, trigger warnings on every page 🤣 but don't let that stop you !!

I didn’t think that I could be taken on any larger of a rollercoaster after Don’t Leave Me… but this surpassed everything I thought. It was literally UNHINGED. The plot was full and had me literally saying WTF outloud multiple times throughout the book. Just as soon as you think, “I’ve got this figured out” something else crazy happens. It was straight WHIPLASH.

I am forever in shock for how this ended (pre-epilogue)…. I just wanted to sit in silence and stare at the wall for a bit.

If you are a fan of dark romance, I highly suggest this read! Make sure to check your TW though because one part made me literally 😰

“Jack was my knight in morally gray armor.”

“And now I knew my purpose: to love my imperfect Jack, to follow him into the darkness, and to live happily ever after in our very own little twisted fairy tale.”

HELLO?! WTF?! 🤯😱 Holy mother of all things holy this book is AMAZING!! I literally cannot even begin to describe what I’m feeling right now. Shocked for starters🫠. Did… did we all read that right?! I KNEW MICHEAL WAS A PSYCHO WHEN HE WAS FIRST INTRODUCED BUT THEN JACK WAS PSYCHO AND THEN WTF?! This book literally has me reeling rn. I can’t go into too much detail without spoiling both books, but wow. This book actually has become a favorite of mine. The drama, the angst, the confusion I felt the WHOLE TIME?! Man I cannot even right now😭! I feel like I just read 30 pages & it’s been like 1000?! 🫣 HOLY FREAKING WOW!! READ THESE BOOKS!!!!!!!!
