About the author

An author, musician, counseling psychologist, and animal rights activist, Dariel writes interracial/multicultural paranormal romance and dark urban fantasy featuring shifters, Nephilim, angels, and reluctant demons, all filled with action, alpha heroes, and strong heroines. As a child, she could always be found curled up with her dogs, cats, and a good book, even if the book was a dictionary or encyclopedia. Things have not changed much.

Dariel is a classically trained soprano, and plays more than 11 musical instruments. She also completed coursework and passed comprehensives for a Ph.D. in Instructional Design (ABD), tutors writing, algebra, and statistics, and readily admits to being a Netflix paranormal and action series binge-watcher.

Saw this featured in one of my fav author's newsletters, that's how I know it's good <3 I'm a completionist though, I gotta work my way up to this book, from the start of the series.

Everyone has secrets in this story. Rake is a hired assassin on the job to kill Likely but once he meets her all bets are off. Likely is a weapon the League uses against their enemies except they are having an issue with controlling her powers. Rake breaks her out of the facility and mentors Likely on how to control her powers.... Rake and Likely's fates are intertwined, their bond is growing along with their sexual attraction. The question is what will Likely do when all the secrets come out about Rake and his true mission? Everyone wants something but Likely is only one person. Enjoy 🥰.

This tale of difficult choices and sacrifices that will shape your fate, the fate of your world, and the blurred lines between good and evil. The story showcases the internal struggles and the external conflicts faced by each person during their lives. This struggle creates a rich tapestry of motivations, desires, and vulnerabilities, and an enduring trust, and love of hope and redemption. This tale is original, well-written, and enthralling.

This paranormal story is about Rake who is given an assignment by Vida the Illyium witch to infiltrate the League and capture Likely a female assassin was a pleasurable story to read. His mission brings them together as they discover an attraction and feelings that bloom among them. Rake's orders are to kill her, but can he? The story is engaging with the action, drama, and romance and our couple are likable and relatable and had chemistry that simmers. Overall, this copy I'd received and volunteer to review was enjoyable read from the beginning to the end.

Ms. Raye has written another great paranormal story. Rake is sent on a mission to find Likely and work with her. At the end of this mission, he is to kill her. Rake has some strange feelings about this mission. When he finds his target, he approaches her, and the mission begins. I enjoyed reading this story to find out what was going to happen next.

This is a good story about Likely and Rake. He is an assassin who has been hired to kill Likely. Both are unique individuals who find more when they come together. They are fated mates. I enjoyed this story from beginning to end.

Please check CW and TW before reading this one. Ok this was such an interesting story, I have not read anything that is like this and I was pleasantly surprised. i'm so glad I was able to read this one.

Enjoyable read

A strong heroine and hero. Betrayal, love, action, family and a myriad of enemies and surprising allies. This was an enjoyable read.
