I love the Moretti's but this one broke my heart right from the start. I know Luca has been struggling since he found about Franco and his mom....he can't get over it and he's fallen into a stupor of alcohol everyday/all day. There hasn't been more than a few hours that he isn't drunk but at least he hasn't tried to hurt himself again. He's 25 now and the world is no longer overlooking his actions and if he wants to be part of the family business he must get his shit together!! Antonio doesn't know what to do anymore every time he tries to give him an opportunity he messes it up and he's drunk again!!!

Luca has given up and is just pissing his life away through alcohol until he gets a surprise that will forever change his world and the trajectory of his life.

I absolutely love Abby!! She needs work and is running from her past; which is damaged too and when she gets an off from Luca she can't refuse and her whole world changes the moment she says YES!!

I loved this entire series and I loved watching the entire Morettti Family grow and their children grow as well! I'm hoping the kids get their own books. I hope this isn't the last time we see them but if it is it was a beautiful ending. Happy Reading!!

*disclaimer: i received an advanced copy of this book for a review.
This was the first book i have read by this author. As a standalone it was okay. I felt the characters could have used more depth. The conflict was mostly alcoholism and substance abuse. I did like the development of the "hero" but wish the author had delved deeper into who he really was and who the heroine really was too. Again if i had read the first 7 books in the series i could have most of the character development i was seeking. All in all it was a good read.

A wonderfully written eighth book to this series that has amazing characters also a great page turner that’s also easy to read. A story with action, drama and a little intrigue with a sweet steamy romance that’s ending is happy ever after.
A story about a runaway and winds up finding a mafia prince and the two of them start having feelings for one another from about the moment they meet.
The two meet at a gentleman’s club, she was there trying to make a fast buck so she could get out of the city so that her abusive father wouldn’t find her and he was there looking for someone that could be a nanny to his four year old daughter that was just given to him by her mother claiming that the girl is his.
The runaway moves in with the mafia prince and his daughter so that at least his daughter won’t end up like her. Soon they start getting closer even after his friend comes to do drugs in front of the runway and the daughter but he demands that the friend leaves when his daughter almost gets hurt and his mother comes in taking the daughter because she thinks the runaway is somebody who should be tending to her granddaughter. The mafia prince tends to his mother.
The mafia prince has his daughter going to therapy due to her outbursts, the runaway suggested it to him. The two do kiss and after he finds out that she’s a virgin but still wants to be with him, he gives her oral sex before they have sex. They are so happy and the mafia prince has not gotten drunk in a couple of days, he has been trying to get better and everyone is happy.
They go to a family dinner at his mother’s home, the runaway and his daughter meet his sisters and brother as well as all of their families. When his mother jumps the runaway about his daughter’s outburst the runaway runs crying to the bathroom, one of the sisters comes and the runaway and the sister talks, when they get to the living room the mafia prince decides it’s time to leave. The runaway finds out about the mafia prince’s family involvement with the mafia.
Not long after they go back to his mother’s home even though the runaway is hesitant about going she still goes. While there his mother starts talking about the mafia prince getting married. The mafia prince doesn’t want to get married but he winds up saying that if he got married he would want to marry the runaway and she has a panic attack from what he said. When she starts feeling better she winds up leaving with the daughter and when they get to the apartment she finds her abusive father waiting for her. She tries to get into the apartment and locks the door behind her but he’s too fast and gets ahold of the door before she can do anything, the mafia prince shows up before her dad can do anything. The runaway takes the daughter to the daughter’s bedroom and waits. When he comes he tells her what happened. She decides to marry the mafia prince.
The three go out to have fun and when they are out the mother to the daughter shows up and the daughter doesn’t want anything to do with her mother. The mafia prince and the mother argue and the three leave, the mafia prince has the runaway take his daughter home and he says he will be back later. The runaway is worried he will go drinking again due to the mother. The mafia prince doesn’t come home and the next afternoon the runaway and the daughter go to his mother’s home to talk about the wedding. The runaway tells the mother about what happened and that she can’t get ahold of the mafia prince but after the mother leaves a message the mafia prince is there not long after her call.
The runaway is upset that he shows up at his mother’s drunk so she leaves with the daughter. The car they are in gets hit and she gets out to check on the daughter and to check everything out, the guy who hit her had been drinking so she starts to call the police when the drunk guy runs her over and leaves the accident.
The mafia prince has been sleeping off his drunkenness when he gets a call from the hospital about the accident, he gets his mother’s keys and races to the hospital. When he gets to the runaways room she’s unconscious and his daughter is there next to her with a lady, the lady introduces herself before leaving, he sits in the chair next to the runaways bed with his daughter in his lap. When they leave he has his mother watch his daughter so he can tend to some business. When he gets to his apartment his twin sister is standing at his door waiting for him. They talk a bit and they hug. A couple days later the runaway wakes up. When she wakes the two talk about everything that happened and he apologizes to her. The mafia prince tells her that he loves her.
The mafia prince tends to the runaway for months until she’s better. During that time he grows a stronger bond with his daughter. His brother comes over to apologize to him about the way he has been acting towards him and to give him the results of the DNA test to see if his daughter is actually his and the rest shows that she is his daughter. The runaway is getting better, everything is on a mend, the two talk and she agrees to still marry him and she tells him that she loves him.
When she’s completely better they have a wedding at the courthouse with just the family. All of his family shows up and they all cheer them on once they say their “I dos” and kiss.
They are now family and she has found her happy ending.

This is the final book in The Moretti Mafia Series by Ivy Davis. I was pleasantly surprised to walk away loving this book since Luca was one of my least favorite Moretti's. Giulia who is the matriarch of the Moretti family continues to hold that title. I will admit she does have her good moments, but they are so far and few between making it impossible for me to change my overall feelings towards her. Ivy has delivered an original plot that was sad, emotional, fun, action packed, exciting and super spicy with wonderful character making for one entertaining read. I feel Ivy put real depth into Luca's story and gave me a better understanding behind why he behaved the way he did. It doesn't change my dislike for the way Luca chose to deal with the negative parts of his life. However, it allowed me to feel true empathy and compassion towards him that I lacked in his siblings stories. Luca continued to engage in his addictive behaviors, but had no real reason to change. He presented himself as a cold unfeeling man with no motivation to do anything to better himself in order to hide the truth. Luca didn't want anyone to know within the depths of his soul resided a lost and hurt little boy. Abigail was a woman on a mission who found strength and courage along the way while on the run from an abusive situation. Abigail had strong morals, a loving heart, the ability to display compassion while willingly providing acts of kindness. She knew how and when to be nurturing and had no fear in calling things as she saw them. Hannah was a sweet innocent little girl. She was scared after being abandoned by her mother to a father whom she had never met before. This caused her to act out and throw temper tantrums. The minute Luca and Abigail met there was a chemistry that demanded to be acknowledged. They did their best to ignore it, but the more time they spent together Luca and Abigail soon found themselves sharing passionate evenings in one another's arms. I am so glad that I read this series and would highly recommend it to any reader who enjoys the mafia genre.

Although I loved each book in this series Addictive Union holds the place of being my favorite. I truly never expected that, but Ivy told Luca's story in a way that enabled me connect with him the most. Not only that his story was so different from the rest of the Moretti siblings that this book stands out to me the most.

Luca doesn't waste any time proving to his brother Antonio that he is unreliable and nowhere close to being ready to help out with the family business. If that weren't bad enough Luca finds himself an instant father when his daughter Hannah is left in his care. A daughter he had no clue even existed. Luca is desperate to find a nanny and hires the first woman who approaches him. He meets Abigail in an unorthodox way, but he needs the nanny immediately and she seems trustworthy. Luca didn't bargain for someone who would call him out on his lack of behavior when it comes to fatherhood and self care. Luca has finally found someone who may be the answer to all of his problems. But, more importantly with Hannah and Abigail in his life Luca now has a purpose and reason to be the man that everyone expects.

Luca has been troubled since his teens. He has an addiction to alcohol and drugs as well as one night stands. There is a lot in his past that he has had to deal with and he's tried and failed to deal with it on his own. He finds out that he has a 4 year old daughter when her mother drops her off at his home informing him that she can't deal with it any more and he'll have to look after Hannah. He tries to rope his mam in to help out but Antonio his brother and head of the family tells Luca he needs to step up to the plate and deal with it by himself.

Abigail has left her home and moved to New York to get away from her abusive father. She finds herself on the streets after her flatmates steal the last of her money to buy drugs which means she can't pay her portion of rent. Luckily she overhears Luca talking as he mentions he is looking for a nanny for Hannah and offers her services as the live in help. Luca is so desperate he readily accepts.

Abby is dealing with a toddler who misses her mam, Luca's mam as well as Luca's drinking together with her father trying to get her to come home. But an incident involving Abby brings Luca and Abby closer together where lines begin to blur and they become involved.

Can Luca quit drinking and become the dad he needs to be for Hannah? Can he show Abby that he can stay sober for their relationship work? Has he dealt with his past so that it doesn't effect their future?

Loved this book as much as the others in the Moretti series, dealing with the past which haunts Luca. Trying to fight his addictions and become the man/father he is suppose to be. Well worth a read.

Addictive Union is Book 8 of The Moretti Mafia and the final one in the series. I'm sad that it's over, but we ended with a good one. It's a steamy, OTT, instalove, frenemies-to-lovers, opposites-attract, girl gets her mafia man romance. This one is Luca's story. As much as I have hated the twins, Lucia and Luca, throughout the series, Luca's story really got to me. Ever since he and Lucia found out they products of (who they thought was) their uncle raping their mother, he had spun out of control with a suicide attempt before turning to drugs and alcohol. His real father was a true monster, and he just can't handle it. When he ends up with a 4 year old daughter being dropped off, as her mom, who he doesn't remember sleeping with while drunk/high, states she can't handle her. Things get worse. Enter Abby, a young girl on the run from an abusive stepfather. She is now homeless due to her roommates stealing her rent money for drugs. She's so desperate, age debates, selling her virginity until fate intervenes, and she overhears Luca needs a nanny for his daughter. As she works for him, she grows close to him and his daughter. She tries to say no sex, etc, but they have great chemistry. But Luca is so tortured and broken. Can he be the man she needs? Can she show him he is worthy of love? This was such an emotional roller coaster with a lot of angst and drama and a bad backslide from Luca. But the chemistry was hot 🔥 hot 🔥 hot 🔥 and we do, thankfully, end on a happy note. I loved this series and would love a second generation series :).

This is the 8th story in the Moretti Mafia Series where Luca’s struggles come full circle with the knowledge of who his father really was, a devious dangerous and horrible person with the way he treated Giulia his mother. At 18 while visiting his twin and new husband the secret is revealed and Luca tries to end his life but is saved and several years later he’s only been drinking and doing drugs being a disappointment to the Don his older brother and scares his family with his choices. One day out of the blue a woman from his past drops off an adorable 4 year old girl, Hannah that’s his daughter. When word is out his family has been order to stay away by forcing Luca to clean up to take responsibility and care of Hannah. While out at a climb asking an associate for help with a nanny he runs into a woman, Abby who’s desperate for the job so she doesn’t have to sell her body. Abby finds herself at rock bottom when her roommates steal her money for drugs then gets kicked out. Abby is happy for the opportunity, room and pay with the promise Luca will not expect any sex. When things naturally progress with Luca and Abby you pray it works. Out for them only for Luca to fall backwards. The emotional journey these 3 take will give them ups and downs and teach each other what’s important in life and overcoming all the negative thoughts of others and themselves gives them the chance at a good life of respect and love! This is an emotional love story about some hard truths and how they face them. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Part of The Moretti Mafia series each can be read standalone each with a dangerous sexy and the one he is arranged to marry so make sure to double check that you are buckled up, dangerous men, alpha’s personified, possessive, oh, gorgeous, brooding all the makings of a story consisting with three D’s (dark, delicious, and dirty) 😊. There will be suspense, betrayal, death, darkness, secrets reveled, violence, hope, forgiveness, and maybe even love along the way. Luca sexy as all get out troubled part of the Moretti’s but so troubled dealing with it by becoming an alcoholic, unable to accept the negative stuff going on with him so that he is becoming a problem they aren’t sure what to do about it, but we also see him as human now more likable and don’t get it twisted he is still as dangerous, ruthless on a good day, deadly every day. Abigail is such a sweetheart despite the situation she is running from an abusive background show so much strength her situation didn’t change her heart, her compassion for other, or the kindness she shows to other, and she learned to stand up for herself when needed. Throw in sweet girl who was abandoned in need of stability and the magnetic pull between the two of them too strong for them to ignore the more time they spend with each other the more they heal each slowly but is it enough for him to get his act together, will he protect keeping her safe, will they help each other heal enough to live a productive life, and find a little happiness along the way?

Whew - what a doozy! Luca Moretti's life spirals out of control following revelations about his true parentage and his struggles with addiction. His life is an absolute mess. His chaotic world is further upended when a woman leaves a little girl, Hannah, claiming she's his daughter, and disappears. Faced with the daunting responsibility and ill-equipped to be a parent, Luca is desperate for help.

Enter Abby, a woman with her own tragic past and an urgent need for money. A serendipitous meeting results in Abby taking on the role of Hannah's nanny. Recognizing Luca's incapacity to father due to his personal demons, Abby commits herself wholeheartedly to ensuring Hannah's well-being.

The narrative, rich with tumultuous events, delivers a compelling but emotionally taxing journey. Despite the challenges, the story concludes on a hopeful note, with Luca, Abby, and Hannah finding a semblance of family together. While satisfying, the conclusion leaves a yearning for a more comprehensive wrap-up, especially after following the series through eight books. Hopefully the author writes about the next Moretti generation!

Luca has been struggling since learning that he and his twin Lucia were the product of rape by the man he thought was told was his uncle. After he learns how really horrible his "father" really was, he tried to kill himself. His life gets more complicated when a woman he doesn't even remember sleeping with due to his life being in a constant drunken state leaves four-year-old daughter for him to be responsible for. How can he be responsible for a child when he can barely take care of himself. Abby is just a girl whose life continues to be one of struggle and survival so much that she is forced to consider selling her virginity but is "saved" at the last possible moment when she overhears a man saying he needs a nanny for his child. Overhearing that conversion sets in motion events that will irrevocably change both their lives, if they can survive those changes. I am sad that his is the final story in the Moretti Mafia Series but hey, we can be thankful that the Moretti's were such a big Italian family that were got to read the stories of all eight children.

The last book in this great series focuses on Luca Moretti. After finding out that Franco was his father, he has had a rough time dealing with that information – from drugs, alcohol, women and even a suicide attempt. Luca doesn’t feel like he fits in, and Guilia (his mom) coddles him and still bails him out of trouble. When he returns home one day, he finds a woman and a 4yr old little girl and finds out this is his daughter (Hannah), and she is tired of being a mom. Abigail lived with an abusive father and had run away from him and ended up homeless. Needing money, she decides to go to a gentleman’s club and overhears Luca saying he needs a nanny. She volunteers for the job and the fun begins!

Abby tends to call Luca out on his BS but tends to be supportive when it comes Hannah. Has Luca found someone who can be the answer to his problems? Will Hannah and Abby be able to get Luca to realize he has more to live for and has a purpose in life?

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. This is my own opinion and was not influenced by anyone.

Addictive Union is book 8 in the Moretti mafia series by Ivy Davis. This last book is Luca's story. His life is out of control. He lives a life constantly drunk or high to escape the reality that is his reality. When a 4 year old girl is dropped at his door, Luca meets Hannah, his daughter. Abby stumbles into his life working as his nanny. She forces him to be there for his daughter.

As their relationship grows, Luca struggles to get his life together for Hannah and Abby. Abby gets Luca to see that therapy can be beneficial and Luca provides Abby with safety. The story reads quickly and it is good to see Luca undergo a change. He does backslide but he keeps trying. Addictive Union wraps up the the series with all of the Moretti kids married off and happily ever after.

Addictive Union was a great mafia read.

In this novel, we meet Luca. A man with an alcohol problem and loves to sleep with women from a gentleman’s club. His life is in a downhill spiral until an ex hook up drops his daughter on his porch and he needs to find a nanny. A chance encounter at the gentleman’s club leads him to meet Abigail: his new nanny.

They both have a dark past riddled with abuse and secrets. I loved that Abigail didn’t take any of Luca’s crap, making him get his life back together and holding him accountable for his actions. She was a great nanny to Hannah and did everything to protect her from all the negativity surrounding her. Luca was a hot mess, but I loved that he tried to do better for his girls. Abigail and Hannah was a bright light he didn’t know he needed. The family dynamic was beautiful to see. This was my first Ivy Davis novel and I can’t wait to read the rest of the series!

Luca Moretti is the youngest member of the family, along with his twin sister Lucia. He's the only unmarried sibling, probably because he's a drunkard and a profligate who never really grew up. When a woman from a one night stand that he doesn't remember leaves him a four-year-old girl that she claims is his, he still doesn't shape up.

His questionable method for choosing a nanny may just prove to be his salvation. Abigail is escaping her abusive father, her thieving roommates, and is out of work. Can she handle a boychild father and be a nanny to his distraught child?

I really liked this latest installment of the Moretti Mafia series. Both Abigail and Luca have had troubled pasts, but they manage to learn and grow while taking care of little Hannah. Their biggest lesson is realizing that they don't have to solve their problems alone, they can rely on family and on each other.

This is the last book in the Moretti Mafia series. There is Luca who has substance abuse issues and for the most part is always drunk. When he comes home to find out that he has a five-year-old girl and she is now his responsibility. Luca needs to get a nanny and goes to a gentleman's club where he runs into Abigal. Abigal has had to deal with quite a bit in her young life. An abusive father, roommates who steal all her money so now she is about out of options. She thinks she is going to have to sell her body to get money when she overhears a conversation about a man who needs a nanny. She is able to finagle herself into a live-in nanny situation. They both have lots of issues. Will they be able to help heal each other or will it all fall apart. Good characters though I wasn't a big fan of Luca. Overall, a good series.

In the gripping finale of The Moretti Mafia Series, Ivy Davis proves her prowess once again with an original plot that seamlessly blends sadness, emotion, excitement, and sizzling action. This exhilarating read is peppered with wonderfully crafted characters who breathe life into every page. Davis delves deep into Luca's story, offering readers a profound understanding of his motivations and struggles. While I may not agree with Luca's choices in confronting life's challenges, Davis's narrative fosters genuine empathy and compassion towards him, a depth of emotion I found lacking in his siblings' tales. Each installment in this series has been a delight, but it is Luca's journey that truly resonates. Davis has expertly woven a narrative that allows readers to connect with Luca on a profound level, making this book a standout among its predecessors.

An Unexpected Family

Abigail (Abby) runs away from an abusive dad & tries to make ends meet so she can survive on her own. On her first night at a Gentlemen’s Club, she overhears Luca’s conversation where he’s in a desperate need for finding a nanny. Working as a nanny is far safer than being paid for men’s advances so she steps forward & is hired on the spot. This is a learning curve for both of them with a 4 yr. old girl dropped at his doorstep as mom says Luca’s the dad.

Children have a way to wiggle their way into a person’s heart which helps Luca & Abby become the united protectors for Hannah. When a near-tragedy shatters Luca’s already fragile world, he’s come to realize what is really important & has to change his ways.

A good story to end this series of the Moretti Mafia family.

Luca and Abby, my fave couple. The only reasons this isn't a 5 stars is because I felt it could've been longer. Luca got attached to Abby a bit too quickly, it was hard to believe. Also considering how deep into his addiction he was, I thought there would be way more internal conflict between him getting sober and him trying to numb the past.

ANDDD why was the mom so annoying. Like they added that she was raped by Luca's dad, I don't know if it was to build character or sympathy for her. But she was straight up annoying and so irritating. But I have noticed this author does that, one parent (usually mom) is so annoying, immature, and rude to her kids. But then all the siblings will be chill and get their own books.

Tropes: nanny-boss, mmc has an addiction, mmc and fmc have a traumatic past, mentions of abuse, single dad

This is Book 8 of The Moretti Mafia Series. This is Luca and Abby's story.
Luca seems to be the most troubled child of the Moretti family. The weight of who his father is and how that happened causing him to drink and do drugs and a suicide attempt. Then Amanda drops a bomb on him with leaving his daughter Hannah on his doorstep then leaving. He hires Abby (who has her own troubles) to be Hannah's nanny.
Sparks fly between them as chemistry is high.
But can Luca get his act together? And what happens when Abby's past doesn't stay in the past.
I loved the cameos of Luca's whole family and catching up with them.
Hate to see this series end!.

📖Addictive Union by Ivy Davis📖

Book 5 ⭐️
Spice 4.5 ⭐️

Ah, yes, Ivy Davis has done it again with another wonderful spicy mafia romance. I've been waiting for this book on one of the youngest of the Morreti family. This book is wonderfully written. I was instantly hooked from the beginning once again. The storyline is great as it follows Luca, his struggles with addiction, his past and his newfound fatherhood, as well as marriage. It will leave you wanting to know what happens next with each turn of the page. If you're a fan of mafia romances, then you'll love this one.

Excellent book! I love the tropes in this book..mafia man Lucas is a bit of a mess...had a rough life...is a bit of an alcoholic and player with the ladies...he find out he has a 4 year old daughter and basically is thrust into fatherhood. Abby had a rough life too...loses money to her roommates drug habit...needs a job..and gets one from the hot Mafia mess Luca. What ensues is both a healing for them, and a start if something beautiful.
I had never read any of Ivy Dais books before but this was a really good book. I enjoyed the plot..the spice and the sweet little girl in this book. If you like Mafia romances, or single parent romances...or romances where there is healing and becoming better...this is the book for you. Trust me...very good book!

Addictive Union, the final book in the Moretti saga and this one had my heart. Luca has been struggling since finding out about his biological father. Spiraling with addiction and one night stands, he returns home to find a woman on his doorstep with a 4 year old she says is his. After Antonio tells him he needs to get it together and take care of his responsibilities he meets Abby. Perfect timing he needs a babysitter and she needs a job and a place to live. They have their obstacles they have to overcome but their love for each other and Hannah helps them push through. As bittersweet as it is saying goodbye to the Moretti family this was the happy ending we needed.

This is the one I was waiting for! Luca absolutely broke my heart in Prideful Union. I simply couldn't forget him and wondered how this author would play his story out. Well let me tell you, she did a phenomenal job! Luca has struggled with the truth for a long time and now a little bombshell has been dropped and he has to shape up or lose what could mean everything to him. Abigail is at the right place at the right time. She's everything Luca's looking for in every way that matters. I love this series! Hopefully we'll get a catch-up book on these families at some point. The Moretti Crime Family series is an absolute must read!

Luca is a serious alcoholic. When a one-night stand drops his 4 year old daughter off on his doorstep he doesn't know what to do. He end up hiring Abigail to be his daughter Hannah's nanny. I like the story but where it losers we at is how is Abigail going to choose to give up her virginity to a man 24 hours after this man was so drunk that he endangered his daughter's life. Plus anybody with knowledge of AA will tell you that you don't get into a relationship in the first year of sobriety. And you never try and get sober for somebody else you do it for yourself.

Okay, okay, I did not think that I was going to enjoy Luca’s story like I did all of his other siblings but his story is above some of the others in this series. Abigail, a young woman on the run from her abusive father turning a hard head, not giving a damn about life Luca’s life upside down for the better. Sometimes certain people will surprise you and be the best thing that has ever happened to you; and that’s exactly what she did for him, and him finally realizing that he wanted to be a better person despite everything that he had been through, and feeling as if he didn’t have the support that he needed. 💜💜💜💜💜

Luca the final Moretti sibling hasn't made his life easy delving into drink and drugs, but now he's been handed his 4 year old daughter Hannah and has to step up. Needing a nanny he hires Abigail, whose looking for a change in her life and protection. Luca is drawn too Abigail but his unpredictability makes her wary, when he suggests they get married Abigail has a choice, one that could end in heart break. And what happens when her past comes for her? Well written, engaging story, great end to the series, a single dad, nanny, steamy scenes and more.

This is the 8th book and final book in this phenomenal series, and this is Luca and Abby’s story.
This is a well written action packed, emotional roller coaster, with family, friendships, angst, drama, fake marriage, making choices, undeniable chemistry, secrets, deception, lies, tension, healing, two broken souls, enemies / lovers, opposites attract, off-limits relationship, and love, which leads to an entertaining, tragic, twisted, heartwrenching, unpredictable, and steamy mafia romance.
