Nothing is what it seems. The Shadow Realm king has started to play nice, but Windy and her friends know better. The king is plotting something and if they turn their backs, he’ll strike. After freeing the Light Realm creature, Windy is sure she knows what the king’s next move will be. Figuring out a way to stop him is the hard part. It’s time for Windy to allow outsiders to help, but what if she’s putting them in danger? If involving adults in their plans helps save the world, will it be worth the lives lost? But gaining allies doesn’t ensure success. Safety isn’t guaranteed in the other realms, just like comfort isn’t guaranteed in the human world. Windy has to do some plotting herself for occasional slivers of happiness. With the king’s subtle threats, rebellion pumping through Windy’s veins and the castle itself breathing down her neck, time is running out. In the end, Windy can only hope that everyone is left standing.
