There is such gentleness in the poems of Fred Gerhard’s Drifting to “Hello,” that the reader can feel comfort no matter the topic. Whether Gerhard writes about a lost love, a lost friend, the solemn beauty of autumn or death itself, the lyrical impact of these poems goes to the core. A book to be savored.
