A lonely rancher A visiting heiress And one Leopold Wadsworth III...
Iris Jameson wasn't about to be saddled with the likes of Leopold Wadsworth III. Her friend Penelope had already escaped the cad! And now Iris' parents want her to marry him? Ha! The arrogant snob could go jump in a lake for all she cared. Still, it was a sticky situation, and her only hope of quelling her parents' ludicrous plans was to go somewhere and lay low for a while. A long while. So, she did the only thing she could think of. She went to Fiddler's Gap to visit Penelope!
Wilson Mitchell sent away for a mail-order bride along with the rest of the men in Fiddler's Gap. But considering the type of women they were hoping for, the wait could be long, and he wasn't sure he'd be able to keep his sanity. Then he stumbled upon the most beautiful creature in the world in his meadow, and was smitten. Problem was, Iris Jameson didn't come to Fiddler's Gap to get married. A rich heiress like her wasn't going to so much as glimpse in his direction. But doggone, he kept running into her! How was he ever going to keep from falling in love? But when Iris is threatened, his heart and his fists settle the matter for him. Enjoy this sweet historical western as only Kit Morgan can deliver!
Kit Morgan, aka Geralyn Beauchamp, has been writing for fun all of her life. When writing as Geralyn Beauchamp, her books are epic, adventurous, romantic fantasy at its best. When writing as Kit Morgan they are whimsical, fun, inspirational sweet and clean stories that depict a strong sense of family and community. 'His Prairie Princess' is the first of the Prairie Brides books and the first in the series of a long line of stories about Clear Creek, Oregon. One of the wackiest little towns in the old west! Get to know the townsfolk in Clear Creek and come sit a spell!
NOTE: Hi folks, it has come to my attention there is an erotica book floating around out there written under the name Kit Morgan. IT IS NOT MY BOOK! I do not, and never will, write in that genre.
Oh my. This was the sweetest story! And exciting! Iris ran from her parents and an arranged marriage. She went to visit her friend Penelope who had also ran from the same arranged marriage. Did that stop the underhanded evil villain? No. He went to get her. He wasn’t about to be thwarted again. In the meantime Wilson was becoming aware of Iris and she was becoming…well just read the story!
Kit, you did it again with this delightful read of Iris and Wilson's story. It caught my interest at the very beginning and all the way to the end. The storyline is very intriguing and along with fascinating characters whether the heroes or villains.
Great story until the end, as so many questions were left unanswered such as: what was Wilson's background? What was Leo's real reason for marriage? what happened to him? What happened with Iris's parents? The rustlers?? For all of that I felt like giving the book a 3.
Thank you Kit Morgan for Wilson and Iris story, I really enjoyed this one, it was Sweet, exciting and fun, The bad Guy wasn't so smart there, can't wait for the next book.
A really wonderfully written book. Kit did a great job with a cute idea. A town full of all male musicians in search of wives! This one had me on the edge of my chair! Kid's characters make you feel what they are going through. A great author!
I generally enjoy books by this author, and this is no exception. I do, however, wish she'd invest in an editor. There are noticeable errors that should have been caught. Grammarly and Spellchecker are not enough. She’s part of sigh society? And tense issues with verbs.
Thank you for this exciting story. I enjoyed the spunkiness of Iris and the almost boldness of Wilson. I'm so glad that Leopold finally got what was coming to him. Enjoyable reading.
For a relaxing read I love this type of romance. Just a little drama like the heroine getting kidnapped, but no death, gore, and guts. Just two people finding compatibility and love. 💜
A fun read in Fiddlers Gap with all the guys needing a wife. Filled with conversation and adventure with all the town folk plus a little bit of tension and emotions.
A pleasure to read anytime but especially on a rainy afternoon. Reading the description of the two main characters falling in love was a delight. Beautifully written.
This was a great book and what a fantastic author. I highly recommend this book and author. I can’t wait to read the next book by this wonderful author.
I love Kit Morgan stories. I read them late into the morning than I'm sad when the book is done. I always get the series because I get involved with the characters.
Long term visit? Iris isa victim of the sneak, Leopold who had plagued Penelope. To escape she goes to Fiddler's Gap. Escape is her plan. Marriage is her choice.
