Merry freaking Christmas to me!! OMG!! Once opened I could not stop reading. Inhaled in one sitting before the turkey is even out of the oven!!
The heat level is off the charts but it is so much more than that! Matilda has had enough. Taken advantage of and treated abysmally by her Mother, she decides to break out on her own. And well, what ensues next is pure heat, obsession and love.
As soon as Big Daddy lays eyes on Matilda, it is game over. My heart is fit to burst, the depth of feeling and pure emotion is overwhelming.
This author does it each and every time! What a read! Cannot wait for more from this author and this series!

Sometimes, I don’t have the attention span for a plot-driven long novel, so it is a short, smutty story. When I downloaded K.L. Donn’s Big Daddy on Smashwords, it was F/R/33. If you’re reading this on 3/4/25, it still is. It’s about 70ish pages and all daddy shmink. He’s a blue-collar worker, much older, and quite big—everywhere. She’s his baby girl. There’s br33ding, cüm stuffing, and all the other good stuff.

I don't know why, but this kind of felt wrong to read. I felt like I was watching a cheap porn video with poor acting and over the top moaning and gesticulation.
If you think about it, (and I really hate to overthink erotica because I know that the story is just an excuse for the sex) this story is really dark. Matilda just turned 18, she's never been kissed and she's still a virgin. She's an aspiring model that was previously professionally exploited by her mother and flees to Florida to live with her father so she can get a break from the fashion industry. And yet, instead of going to college, she chooses to keep on modeling. But wasn’t the whole point of coming down here that she didn’t want to model anymore? Why does she need a job so badly? Is her father not providing for her?
Anyway, Matilda goes to a bikini photoshoot where a photographer attempts to force himself on her. She manages to escape, but she's still so shaken by the events that she leaves the studio without changing back into her clothes. That's how she ends up driving in a bikini, when her car breaks down.
Now, a normal person would have called their parents or friends for help, instead, she chooses to step out of the car in her bikini, at night, on a dark and empty highway, hoping to stop someone for help. This is obviously a plot contrivance, but in all honesty this girl was just assaulted, she's not in her right mind. And then the first guy who stops for her does so only because she's a hot girl in a bikini, and immediately proceeds to grope her, but we are made to think it's fine because she liked it, and then he proceeds to take her to his truck were he makes her suck him and blows it on her face..again, she is a virgin 18 year old, who just had a traumatic experience and was in a very stressful situation…this guy didn't even asked her name!
I mean, most of it I can overlook. I too enjoy some cheap porn from time to time but the point that made me DNF this was when next morning her father is calling her, and out of nowhere she tells him she is with a man and she is going to let this man do whatever he wants to her, and proceeds to have sex with the guy while her father is still on the phone! Why was this necessary? The father was not presented as a bad guy, we know nothing about him, he is just a concerned parent looking for his daughter. Can you imagine how any parent would react to this? It's awful! We know from a few lines ago that Matilda was concerned her mother was planning to force her to sleep with men to advance her modeling career, so it would have made more sense to tell this to the mother. Why did she say it to her father? That was so messed up.
The only other book I have read from this author was The Girl in the tutu and that one was so beautifully written, it was a roller coaster of emotions. It also had the same tropes as this one: a dominant, burly man, a fragile lost girl, insta- love, steamy sex on the first date, all that. But it felt like it was written with a female audience in mind, with a heavy focus on the emotional connection of the couple and the positive things they brought for each other into the relationship. This one is just... Not it. This was either written by a man, written for men, or is AI generated with some human editing to make it pass as real, because the focus is on the guy at all times, how aroused he is, how quickly he can make the girl come, and how easy she submits to him. This is a male fantasy, and not what I was expecting from a writer who is capable of writing much more satisfying stories.
My trust in romance writers has plummeted to the ground. I'll be skipping anything from this author from now on.

This is the first book in a brand new series by the fabulous K.L.Donn and she does not disappoint! Joshua "Big Daddy" Stergen at the age of forty two has had a tough life, been to prison, works hard as a trucker, he is aching to find that special someone and is shocked when he finds his very reason for breathing stranded on the side of the road dressed in a bikini. Matilda "Babygirl" Grape-Vine at the age of eighteen is desperate to escape her selfish mother's control and moves state to stay with her dad. She is searching for something but unsure what until she falls into the big, safe, strong arms of Big Daddy. The man who will change her life irrevocably and for the better. This story was a well written, fast paced and super spicy age gap, insta love romance that sweeps you up on a journey with Big Daddy and his babygirl as they find themselves falling harder every second that they are together. I really enjoyed it and also appreciated that the hero is a blue collar guy it was a refreshing change. I hope we see more of Coltrain Vine and Big Daddy's friend Mack, this is definitely the start of an enjoyable and exciting new series and I can't wait to see who falls next! Happy Reading.

My lawd, the hotness that is Big Daddy is out of this world! He is a big mountain of a man and when he encounters Matilda, its game over! Matilda is overwhelmingly drawn to the big rig driver and being with him is everything she didn't know she needed. This so wonderfully filthy, it was all I could do to complete my work for the day without reading a few pages every few minutes. I failed at that, btw, so don't tell my boss. I couldn't be more thrilled that we will be getting Matilda's dad's story next! If you love Ddlg with a dash of brat, this is the story for you!!!

I wasn't sure what to think after reading the book
I will say the sexual scenes were fast and were a bit confusing to me. Here Matilda just meets Big Daddy right after she was assaulted by a photographer. The left with the swim suit she was modeling in when her car broke down. Now all of the sudden her is acting all sex starved and Big Daddy is the only one that can help her. I does get more interesting though when she takes him to meet her father and her horrible mother. Showed up as well. I did have a happy ever after ending.

The hot in this book is HOT - I loved most of this book - some things seemed forced - like a swimsuit model leaving in the suit she was modeling - where are the clothes she went to the shoot in. Also, she's driving a far distance - but she's not on the interstate - she's on back roads where there are almost no cars - and a "semi" is also on those same roads AND he knows a local mechanic??? But after getting through all that - the chemistry is out there and as I said the HOT is there! Drama with her mom - her dad seems OK with everything.
