"Astro the Alien Learns How to Calm Down" by Emily Sohn, is on a first grade reader level and it explains how a child can him or herself calm down from being angry/mad. I like the fact that the book offers a vocabulary and check for understanding section at the back of the book. Moreover, I really like this book because it allows the teacher to go beyond what's in the book, and gives direction on how to help the children apply what they have learned to real like situations.
