Scripture tells a story of remembrance. Through river stones, rainbows, tabernacles, feasts, written texts, and moments of rest, God gave His people practices and symbols to keep their hearts from forgetting. As believers, we read and engage His Word so we would not forget the God who remembers us and calls us to remember Him. The acts of remembrance we see throughout Scripture go far beyond simple nostalgia or intellectual recollection. Instead, true remembrance brings the full weight of what God has done in the past to the pain, purpose, and possibility of the present. Each generation is called to remember and retell the true story of God creating, redeeming, and restoring a people for Himself. In this three-week reading plan, we will anchor ourselves in what Scripture records about the reality of who God is and what He has done. Not just so we would know, but so that we would let what we know guide how we respond to and walk with Him. Join us as we read about and practice biblical remembrance
She Reads Truth is a worldwide community of women who read God's Word together every day. Founded in 2012, She Reads Truth invites women of all ages to engage Scripture through curated daily reading plans, as well as online conversation led by a vibrant community of contributing writers. This community of “Women in the Word of God every day” represents a long list of cities and countries, a variety of backgrounds and traditions, and countless real-life stories. But there is a commonality that binds us: we believe God's Word is Truth. So we read. Every day we read a new passage together—working our way through books of the Bible, topics that matter, and seasons of the Church calendar. We engage with God's Word and with each other. And we keep coming back, on the hard days and the good days, because God and His Word never change, regardless of our circumstances.
Another great study from She Reads Truth. It was well organized, centered on Scripture, and included additional resources/reflection spaces to personalize the readings.
A look at the markers God places throughout the Bible as an aide memoire - encouraging us to be People of Remembrance. A very good study, inspiring thoughtful reflection.
