I wanted to read some sexy, something fun which this book definitely offered! However, I could not believe how emotional it was from the mental health standpoint. I related SO MUCH to the MMC and the FMC despite him being a 40yr old professor and her a 21yr old student. Their anxieties were my own and it really only made me cheer them on even more as a couple.

Their dynamic is not the typical student x professor because SHE is the one in charge and takes care of her professor. He is submissive to her and lives for her praise while she relishes in finally being in control of something in her life. The tension and their banter was ALMOST more delicious than when they finally "get together" and you can tell their relationship is so much more than a fling.

I feel like this book was empowering for women, entertaining, and overall a very healing read for me. I can't wait to read volume 2!

The FMC brings the professor to his knees literally she wants control in her life and has found a way to have it with the professor.
But they both have a lot to lose if word gets out.
this has light dom/sub in it, and ends on a cliff hanger leaving me wanting more.

Originally I rated this book with a 2 star rating, but I realized that I rather like the plot, trope, and characters. Therefore settling for a 3 star rating. Don’t get me wrong, if you want spice and a fast paced book this is the one for you! As for me I think it was just right as far as that goes. What makes me give this book 3 stars is that Lizzie tends to repeat the same sentences and phrases so mush that I sometimes wondered “haven’t I already read this part?” But because I loved the professor x student trope I tried to ignore it. The detail in this book is quite exquisite especially with the spicy senses and if anything that’s what kept it so page turning for me, always wondering what going to happen, will they have a falling out?, will they get caught?. This really was my cup of tea and rather enjoyed reading it besides the repetition. I have not yet read Vol 2 bc of my TBR, but trust I will be reading to find out what happens next! ❤️🔥🔥

I made an account just to say this.
I'm not saying their dynamic isnt fun, or that there isnt an element of D/s to it.
But i kinda feel like it reads as if someome that has only ever read and written maledom tried to make a femdom dynamic without ever analysing what "mainstream" behaviours are barely disguised maledom and just put them all into the dynamic.
He is not submissive, hes ostensively duing it just to get the benefits of it for at least half the book.
Hes having behaviours that could very well be considered dominant i dare say in a similar messure to hers.
And i dont mean being jelous or possesive becouse I love me a possesive sub, but hes not that, or at least it doesnt feel like it.

I was so so excited about this book, femdom dynamic and all, but ive been seriously dissapointed.
