Spread the love to little Maisy fans with an adorable sticker book bound to be a favorite Valentine's treat.
Today is Valentine's Day, and Maisy is baking goodies. But she needs the help of her readers to find the ingredients, put on her apron, pass around presents, and even go on a special train ride with her friends. Luckily there's an entire spread of stickers for children to match to the pictures, making for plenty of heart-filled fun with Maisy!
Lucy Cousins, BA Honours in Graphic Design from The Faculty of Arts and Architecture, Brighton Polytechnic, postgraduate degree from Royal College of Art, is an author-illustrator of children's books. Her own children are the inspiration for her books whose age range is 2-8.
I admit it....I didn't quite understand the point of this book. The words made no sense with the pictures and I just thought it was a dumb book.
Then after about 1/3 of it, I realized that the stickers were to be placed on the pages as you read the book & it made a whole lot more sense. I'm claiming it was because I was tired and most of the other books with stickers that my daughter has are just bonus stickers....not intergral to the story.
Once we got that figured out, smooth sailing & it turned into a neat interactive book. Of course, the sticker fun is now over & so the next time it'll just be a regular book we can read through.
This isn't a great book. There's no real plot to the book, just a bunch of things loosely arranged about a Valentine's Day party. There are stickers for the young reader to affix to the book as it is read.
