Many born-again Christian believers will find great benefit from this book. After turning to Christ in repentance and faith, our love for God is often fervent and strong, but over time that initial love can grow cold and stale. John Overholt lays out several ways in which we can rekindle that first love. He draws on the Scriptures and his own experience as a pastor and missionary to illustrate how we can revive our faith and renew our relationship with Jesus. I found his discussion on the role of our emotions particularly insightful. The content of this short book is excellent, but I found some minor editing and formatting errors distracting. Nevertheless, well worth reading.
