Energetic Tigger disturbs his friends, not to mention the plants and creatures of the Hundred-Acre Wood, as he recklessly bounces about the landscape without a care in the world. But when he lands on a prickly thistle and hurts himself, a wiser, more careful Tigger decides to take his friends' advice to look before he bounces.

Rabbit's on Tigger again about his carelessness and lack of consideration when he's bouncing about the Hundred-Acre Wood. But this time the wood itself reinforces Rabbit's nagging when Tigger runs afoul of some protective measures taken by various animals and plants. A nature lesson and a moral all wrapped up in a tidy little tale. Nice!

(My Pooh Project: I love Winnie the Pooh, and so does my wife. Having a daughter gave us a chance to indoctrinate her into the cult by buying and reading her every Pooh book we came across. How many is that? I’m going to count them this year by reading and reviewing one every day and seeing which month I finally run out. Track my progress here:

Outstanding. I got a good amount of these volumes from the thrift store and this book was the first volume I read with my son. I absolutely loved the story, the writing style and of course the characters. My son loves to jump so this was a great read and very enjoyable. We both give it 5/5.

After a lot of catastrophes and near-misses, Tigger learns that it's safer to take his time with things.

A cautionary tale but we all know how Tigger feels about bouncing and how much he listens.

This is a book that uses Pooh and friends to teach a lesson about being considerate of others, and acting with care. We should all look before we bounce, or we might hurt ourselves or others!
