You know him. You love him. The free-spirited, wild child that he is. Carefree, charming, the kind of man you can’t get enough of. Muff is dangerous and edgy, but always has a way of making you feel alive. He lives his life with a soul full of fire and passion. He’s the man I saw myself spending forever with. He became my everything. If you had asked me if there was a single moment in my life that wasn’t perfect, I would have told you no. That is until everything changed. My beautiful, spirited man has secrets. Secrets he keeps hidden from everyone he loves, including me. Now everything is different. Gone is the perfect life I imagined. Now, I’m left with a gaping hole in my heart that he once filled. How do we get past this? How do we move on? I don’t know if things will ever be the same again.
The H’s old lover reappears. He leaves his family (the h and kids) to basically screw the ow for a month 🤬 because he doesn’t know what he really feels for the ow (he thought she was dead). Of course, she forgives him after he realizes his real feelings 😐. Don’t worry; they agree to remain friends after 😐
I’m not gonna even talk about the kidnapping, bathroom OM, sex club, or threesome… just the ow stuff alone makes it hard for me to read 😵💫
If the roles were reversed, people WOULDN’T be as accepting of the h doing this… but because he’s a man… 🥴
I wish she has made him grovel… some bloody knees would’ve be nice 🤷🏻♀️
Sigh… I can’t with this angst/heartbreak

Nothing screams romance as a story where the hero dumps the heroine with whom he’s married and has a child because his supposed dead wife came back and for three quarters of the story he’s not sure who he loves most and eventually he chooses the heroine but he will forever love his ex wife and be friend with her, oh and he’s also had sex with his ex while deciding who he wanted, because you know, he had to be sure. FY forever please.
The angst factor was satisfying, but a few things ruined it. It was a mistake throwing a ménage/sharing scene into the middle of this drama (M/F/M), especially when the h was supposed to be mad at him. My other gripe was how she took him back almost instantly. Despite her ignoring him and pushing him away, she always ended up in his arms anyway, quite easily. But I wouldn't call her a doormat. The OW drama kept things interesting for the entire book. The h was definitely not second choice; he repeatedly rejected the OW towards the end. I think it was evident he wanted a future with the h and to leave the love he had for the OW in the past. A believable conclusion/HEA.
I didn't read the previous books. This still worked for me, but I only came for the angst, so...
Notes: Cheating: Yes. He cheated, emotionally; physically (once, off-page) while H/h were separated. Bastard! LOL
I've read at least two of the previous books, but it's been a couple years. I didn’t remember any of the characters and never felt lost, but, this ends in a bit of a cliffy for the first book's couple Addison and Cade. I couldn’t stand Addi and have ZERO interest in their story, but FYI if that will bug you. I believe she plans on releasing another book titled Cade at some point (per her author bit at the end of the book).
Moving on, the blurb sets this up. Muff and Janine have been married for a while and have a baby together when his first wife (Harper) returns from the dead. Muff is torn and this has a smidge of a love triangle, but Janine pretty much takes herself out of the race immediately when he doesn’t pick her straight away.
This is one of those books that as a whole had issues, (especially if you’re looking for romance) but I GOBBLED it down because I was desperate for the resolution. In the interest of time, I’ll just say that I had my doubts about Muff for the majority of the book and his dedication to his lady love. I agreed with Janine that I don’t think it should’ve been that hard of a choice, Harper had been gone for a decade, and they had kids. (I also thought it was shitty of Harper to try to split up a family after she left him. She had her reasons, but whatever. She survived just fine for a decade… just keep doing that.) BUT I thought the author did a decent job showing his dedication by the end, but I suspect it will not be enough for strict romance readers.
I did love that Janine had fight in her, and her reaction to demand more would be awesome in the real world, but it didn’t generate a ton of drama in PretendLand… because she basically said go kick rocks. BUT I did love this….
You’re going to regret this one day, Muff. You know that, don’t you? One day when I’m with a man who would fucking turn this world upside down for me, you’ll regret it.” … I lean in closer. “His babies, growing inside my belly as he becomes a father to yours.”
Bottom Line- I devoured this, but it could’ve been so much better had the couple interacted more. The angst was there, but I wanted them all to fight it out more. Janine does a lot of running and avoiding, and there isn’t much drama in that. IMO they also needed more conversations after the fact about why he struggled so much other than him repeating over and over that it was hard, and she didn’t understand. What I wanted to know is why he didn’t fight for her and just shrugged and ran to the other when she said she was out. That’s what she needed to ask, but she didn’t which was a bummer. I wouldn’t recommend this for anyone looking for a completely fleshed out betrayal/reconciliation, but if you’re in the mood for some angst, it does deliver… It’s just not super satisfying.
Safety-
If you did like this or this sounds good to you, it reminded me of a couple other books.
Cooper --Has a wife come back from the dead, but Cooper is a mega-dick and mega-cheater-cheater-pumpkin-eater.
AND
Me, Please ---Same author, another triangle. This MC only sleeps with his h though, but it also has a bit of an unsatisfying resolution.

I’m hovering between 3.5-4 stars I think that there’s a lot of assumptions being made about this book or readers looking into it more than between the lines. I honestly can’t hate Muff. TBH I think because its a triangle, people want to hate Muff and his actions but I really don’t think you can he made some bad decisions but you can also understand why, and he was always remorseful knowing he was hurting Janine. I can also say Janine is a feisty strong AF heroine, and with her past she has every right to react the way she did and make the decisions she did. Love triangles can be hard to read at the best of times. Overall I think this is a great take on a love triangle and a lost love coming back from the dead. I also don’t think it’s cheating, betrayal yes, dick move absolutely, but I also think anyone in Muffs position would have struggled the way he did.

Muff and Janine So… there was angst … but it wasn’t quite satisfying. I think the angst gets lost for Me in a love triangle because you’re spreading that angst between 2 characters. It kind of keeps you from being able to really connect to the fmc when essentially you have 2 wannabe fmc’s . Also throw in the risen from the dead wife trope and a wish washy H and you’ve watered it down for me. Also This book jumped from One topic to another fast so It also lost a lot of potential angst. For instance the h is pining away for the H while he’s renewing his relationship with his ex. They haven’t seen each other for a month—- I want to Know more about this scenario— feel The angst—- but instead out of the blue we are dropped into a sex club. They haven’t seen each other in a month and bang then the h is having her first ménage with the H and a random guy. Then wham bam that scenes over and we’re onto another random scene. The safe full of million dollar guns, money and royal jewels.Meanwhile the ow shows up at the fmcs door crying and confessing her love of Muff to the fmc and also says she might be pregnant. So she wasn’t pregnant but that decides it for Muff he chooses the h.Only thing is she’s been kidnapped. She’s brutally beaten and thrown out in front of the clubhouse where they were partying ??? Hmm I thought they were looking for the kidnapped h. After emergency surgery and days in ICU the h is home and she almost immediately forgives H for having sex with his ex. Then the ex shows up at the door Crying…then the h gets pregnant—- then the ex calls the H and says why can’t we be friends. Yes we can says the H . He wants her in his life. All together this was rather unsatisfying. It jumped around a lot. I don’t like my H wishy washy and I dislike the torn between 2 lovers trope. Also can’t stand the risen from the dead first wife. This is a wannabe Cooper. I think that book Was done much better.

Honestly, it's between 3-4 stars for me. Muff really made me mad. I semi understood the predicament he was in, but he went about everything all wrong. I'm not sure if it was just me, but I don't think he was ever really torn about who to choose. He was confused, but even being in his head, I felt like his heart was always with Janine. It just took him a while to figure it out.
I wish that the whole abduction/ beat-up part of the plot hadn't happened. I would have preferred to see Muff grovel and win back Janine, not have her almost die. Those plot twists always feel like a cop out to me. I also noticed a few plot holes and things that didn't line up ( you guys know I'm a stickler for details😅), and that brought my enjoyment down.
Anyway, I did enjoy this one but would definitely say that it is NOT SAFE.

Note to self: Thank you to my GR friends I know to stay far away from this book.
Cheating, threesome, etc. It only needed cheating for me to stay away, add more to it and you might as well have a recipe for disaster. No thank you. 😵💫

Women readers would excuse this kind of trash behavior from a man but when it’s the female characters who’s in a love triangle in the book, trust that they would call her the nastiest of names and crucify her.
Also authors who perpetuate these kind of atrocious actions and thoughts from a man is one of the worst.
I’ve wanted to read a book by this author and I finally got my chance and all I can think of is why did I wait so long!! What an amazing author. Anyone who can make me feel so deeply for the characters has won me over.
My heart broke right along with Jaybird’s…time and time again. Muff and Jaybird’s life got more than complicated when someone from Muff’s past comes back into his life unexpectantly.
For those out there rating this book lower because of cheating, private clubs with what goes on there, it doesn’t seem fair. This author brought everything to the table which made love this book even more. It was written so well and with their relationship so heartbreaking, I was put through the paces with a book that I couldn’t put down.
Anyone who can make me feel so much is a winner for me. I thought it was a fantastic book and I can’t wait to read more.
It felt rushed in parts. It was very much the aftermath of feelings rather than the “during”. Explaining feelings after the fact rather than always in the moment.
As much as I feel that Muff was torn and he had to process Harper returning, I hate it when the fmc gives in and takes some responsibility that was never hers to take. Yes in marriages there is give and take, but saying she should’ve given him to a chance to explain when he left and didn’t fight falls on deaf ears to me. His actions solidified all those feelings. He lied, he left and expected her to wait. It doesn’t work that way. Janine gave him the opportunity to stay and he did leave due to his feelings for Harper….that can’t explained away. His choices had repercussions and those choices weren’t on Janines shoulders….she protected herself by telling him to leave and he still left and did what he did. None of that should’ve been for her to apologise for or take even one iota of blame. He couldn’t explain it away after running into Harpers arms.
Then after all those feelings Janine just forgives him and takes him back….just like that. I don’t mind forgiveness in stories, but it has to be worked for….the way the story moved so quickly it all fell flat.
“I picked Janine”….well good for you buddy, what do you want a f**king medal!!

If you have read this author before, then you know do not expect the big grovels, so set your expectations appropriately.
Cheating = H's 1st wife was declared dead...spoiler, she wasn't just in witness protection and has now returned with intent to claim her husband. Except, H is married and has kids. This doesn't stop the H from saying he is sooooooo confused and must spend time with 1st wife/OW to figure out his feelings. Included in this figuring out of his feelings, he does intimate dates with OW, gets an apartment for the OW, HAS SEX with the OW, has deep and heartfelt discussions with OW, lets the OW ride on the back of his bike (like that alone is such a betrayal) etc. (Remember, the wife/h is expected to just sit back and be ok with H needing to figure his shit out/spending time with OW, because my gosh she (h) is just so unreasonable to tell H that while he is figuring out what he wants, she is not waiting around and will move on with her life.) H is confronted by h and asked if he slept with OW and he reluctantly admits he did and uses the flimsy excuse of "I thought you were done with me" so he tripped and fell dick first into OW. Yeah, ok, so since h "gave up" that justifies what H did??? The author does a really good job from h's perspective and in telling the H, he should have fought for the h instead of taking the easy way out and not only abandoning his wife but also the kids (yes, he does still take the bare minimum of time with the kids to stay in their lives, but come the F on, what did he think? The h would be good with him trying to play daddy and let OW be step mommy??? He did nothing to fight to be with h other than the try and call and talk. Ugh!)
OW drama = OW has several confrontations with the h and while the author writes that from h's view the OW is not evil or mean, the OW still maliciously implied to h that OW was pregnant by H which was a devastating blow to h and the OW knew it would be. H forced OW to take a test and guess what?? Of course negative, but that still infers to us that H was a dirty dick bare in the OW who we have no history from to know if she is clean and of course H goes back to h to dirty dick the h without any discussion of whether H has been tested since being with OW. Blech! OW is constantly playing the pick me game with the H too and pointing out that h isn't fighting for H (not true, just that the h has stated very clearly her boundaries and what she expects and that the H is the one needing the time to figure his shit out, the h is very clear that the H is her choice but she will not wait on someone who cannot figure out who he loves more; h is NOT a pick me girl, but someone who knows her worth which she had to fight to have self worth and will not let the H tear her down).
Grovel = H was constantly trying to get h to stay and just allow him to work out his feelings. H's true lightening bolt moment came after two similar confrontations by both the h and OW where both asked him how he would feel when another man claimed them, married them, had kids, etc. H realized that with the OW, he would be hurt but would be okay with OW moving on. Totally different feeling for the h. If the h were to move on, H had a visceral and violent reaction (overcome with a rage and pushed the h into a wall) that gave the H his lightbulb moment. The H then knows he has to grovel and must win back the h. H goes so far as to ask his MC brothers for help. Of course, grovel gets cut short and forgotten as necessary when the old scenario of h getting kidnapped and hurt supersedes the needed grovel. So all gets forgiven after a traumatic event and the H and h are back together. *insert eye roll*
In the aftermath of all this, the H still stays in contact with the OW ad the h knows, but I doubt she (h) is told or has it explained what the extent of that contact is or how intimate and involved the conversations still are. Will H cheat again? *Shoulder shrug* Depends on whether you think having that emotional connection still and maintaining it with OW is cheating. The same OW that H had sex with and who weaponized a possible pregnancy against the h...would you want your H to stay in contact? With the possibility that if OW needed him he would most likely go to her?? Yeah, no. She should have been excised out of H's life. She let ten years go by and did nothing to reach out to H, refused to explain where she was or what she had been doing (like, seriously, I doubt she was celibate, but again she and the H never talked about that, so H stupidly goes bare with OW???), refused to give H any details of what life she was living, and despite all that H had thought for a spell she was the one he was going to choose? All because h had given him her boundaries which H did not want to respect, so OW was easier??? Ugh, again just UGH! Ok, stepping off soap box...
MC = it is in the background but not the focus of the story
If there had been more grovel (again I did not really expect much as that is not what this author does), I would have loved this book more. But even if the grovel stayed the same, I still would have really liked to see more deep dive into the angst of it all by making the h be more confrontational with the H and calling him on the carpet, making him explain in detail, making him wear condoms until he gets tested, making him suffer just a teeny tiny bit more...That would have been awesome.

What the what was that? He is confused, between his ex and his wife, and the wife is broken and she decides she doesn't want to wait for him to choose between them so he just starts to spend time with the ex and sleeps with her?
And the wife forgives him in just one page? I really really hated this books
What I loved: I liked the drama with his first wife coming back from the dead, just wished it went down differently. I liked how Janine(h) told Muff(H) off especially when she tells him he should have fought for her. Lastly, I love the friendship the woman have and how they were there for each other.
What I didn’t like: First, I didn’t like how Muff tells the ex wife that he wasn’t a cheater but proceeds to have sex with her knowing he was still married. Second, I honestly don’t think he groveled enough, he lied straight face and proceeds to have a relationship with his ex wife but gets mad when Janine wants to have fun with another guy. Third, hated how the story took a turn and another character came back from the dead. I started skimming after that. Fourth, I always hate when something bad happens to the h and everything is all better afterwards. Janine gets beat up badly and all of a sudden the H is back at the house taking care of her….insert eye roll here. Lastly, I didn’t like how the bad guys didn’t get taken care of and the ex basically got a pass for lying about being pregnant and telling the h instead of going to the H.
***Major Spoilers/ Details/Triggers: Cheating, betrayal. H and h are married. h has a daughter from a previous relationship and the H and h have a son together. When the cops show up at their house wanting to talk to the H, the h sees that the H is hiding something. When h asks H about it he lies straight to her face. When he tells her he has to go away for a friends funeral, the h and her friends follow him. h sees him sitting with a woman. We find out that the H was married before the h and he never told anyone. H believed that his ex had died. She went missing and was declared dead after a while. The cops were there to tell him that she is alive and wants to see him. H goes and finds out that she was in witness protection. H tells the h that he needs time to think things through. That he is confused. h upset that he doesn’t put her and their relationship first tells him that she isn’t waiting around for him. H proceeds to get to know the ex while the h ignores him. When H sees the h with another guy he makes sure to let the guy know she is married. He also tells the ex that he isn’t a cheater but proceeds to have sex with her because the h said she was done. Not once does the H fight for his relationship with the h. When the h’s ex brother in law comes back from the dead he tells her he wants his safe back. h runs to the MC and they tell her they will take care of it. When the ex tells the h that she is pregnant, she goes to the H and tells him she wants a divorce. He gets mad when she talks about finding a guy willing to fight for her. H runs to the ex, demanding she take a pregnancy test. It’s negative and H finally realizes that he wants the h and not the ex. When he goes to tell her he finds out that she is missing. The ex brother in law has her and beats her up badly almost killing her. They dump her at the club. H upset at his brothers for not telling him about the danger she was in and they remind him that he was too busy with his ex. They take her to the hospital and H helps her when she gets out. A couple of weeks later, they talk. H explains about his past. He tells the h that he picks her and he will make it up to her (eye roll). HEA with the bad guys still causing problems, another couple fighting when she finds out that her man has a sister and he help sex traffic women and the h pregnant.
Final thoughts: This was so promising until the middle of the story. I needed more of a grovel from the hero and the whole brother in law coming back just ruined the story for me.

This one made some people mad, and I can somewhat get it, but I enjoyed the story. The author really takes you through it. Just confirming the tropes:
🐦 Love Triangle with a married couple. Poor Muff has been keeping some secrets. He used to be married, but he thought she died. Well, SURPRISE! She's not died, and she comes back like Lazarus 😅. His new wife, Jay Bird, is all WTH, and there goes our story and love triangle.
People are mad, but honestly, there wouldn't be a book if Muff wasn't confused and we had to watch him act like an idiot to figure out his emotions.
🐦is there cheating? Sort of kinda. There is the OW there is sleeping with her, but it's not shown on the page. We are told about it. It's also when Muff is told by Janine that the marriage is over.
🐦Is there sharing? Yeah. There is one small MFM scene. The MMC really seems to flow with it only because his wife is kind of pushing for it, and he wants her happy. It is strictly MFM. There isn't vag penetration. It's easily skippable if it's not your thing.
🐦JP. Yes, Muff is extremely jealous, and it may or may not have been the catalyst to get him to get his head out of his ah
🐦Is there a HEA? Yes, it's a romance, and we are reading the triangle Muff finds himself in and how he makes his way back.
One big negatory I had ...the odd running theme that Jan-(Just had a baby and was in an abusive relationship)-ine wasn't free enough or was losing her MOJO and needed to get it back. Muff wanted to see a wild streak in her. As a reader, I was like f* you Muff, but these characters weren't perfect, but the cheating/love triangle trope was nice.

Received as an ARC in return for my honest review.
🏍️ Motorcycle club ❤️ Second chance 🏍️ First love ❤️ Accidental pregnancy/secret baby 🏍️ Alpha hero x Heroine in danger
I’ve never read anything by Bella before and when I tell you this was gooooood!! I was gripped from the first sentence, absolutely loved the writing style and characters we met along the way.
Bella where have you been all of my life when I needed my motorcycle club fantasies fulfilled? I don’t think I’ve blazed through a book this quick in a while, at this point I desperately need to know what happens next in the series, if there is anything, if not I might be distraught 😫 I hadn’t read the first books in this series but it honestly didn’t impact on my enjoyment of this instalment, which was nice as sometimes when something is penned as an interconnected standalone it really isn’t and ruins the reading experience.
Absolutely sensational!!! Bella Jewel you brought us back our beloved Sinners. I’m so ecstatic!! Muff is one of my favorites and I loved him from the start. As this story went on I wanted to shake him and scream in face more than once. But he proved he was the awesome man I knew he was. Janine is amazing and I think she deserves a wonderful life after what she’s been through. I really admire her. So of course my heart was breaking right along with hers. I cried with her too. This story really affected me because I love these characters so much.
Just when my heart was righting itself. BAM ! Bella takes my breath away again. I can’t wait for Cade and Addison’s book. It’s gonna be one crazy ride.
Being back with the original MC Sinners was fantastic and I really enjoyed catching up with them. This was a total rage read for me and the author did a great job of getting me to feel this way. I was mad because Muff and Jaybird were happy after the pain they had gone through previously but then the past comes knocking. The very things I loved about the storyline are the same things I didn't like. I loved all the drama and angst, you can feel all the emotions from everyone. I was so disappointed in Muff, I know he's a book character but I felt his decisions personally. I understand the confusion he felt but he didn't have to go there , he just didn't, he should have fought harder. I also wanted Janine to make him suffer more and work harder.
4⭐️3.5🌶️ Back to MC Sinners 2013. The original cast. This one was a pretty quick read for me. But I loved it 🥰 If you’ve read MC Sinners series then you know Muff, and probably love him. This is Muff and Jaybirds story. Emotional, messy, with some drama and spice. Somewhat of a cliffhanger, just in the sense of what’s going on with the club and other original couples is TBC in Cade next in this series.
It really didn't feel like a complete story between Janine and Muff. Muffs wife comes back from the dead causing confusion and hurt. Most of the book is about Muff not knowing what to do. Back and forth over and over again until Janine is kidnapped then poof he wants her. Insert eye roll.
I really tries not to scream. Muff .. This guy got on my nerves like no other. The drama was off the top but I loved it. Muff and Janine was brutal. They have suffered so much and they are finally where they need to be but the past comes back and almost breaks them apart. One roller coaster of emotions. It’s was perfect.
H didn't deserve the h. There was no grovel which was a major disappointment and the h was a doormat and had body betrayal syndrome. It was a rage read.

Yes, I read MC books so the club life in stories is a given, but I just couldn't like Muff in this book. What struck me the most is he is all about adventure, but married a woman who doesn't take risks. Then he wants her to be wild and change. What? Men or women, when they are in a relationship and want the other partner to change, then why be with them in the first place? So now we have the first wife show up that he never told wife 2 about and he is confused, poor baby. Wife 2 is also confuse about why he leaves her for wife one, who he sleeps with. Then wife 2 goes to a sex club and has sex with him and another man because in the midst of her life imploding , that's a thing, that she show him she can be wild. Don't worry, the other club members are all there getting their freak on too. Their story is weirdly ended so we can now have Addison became the main topic, and lead to the next book. This book just made me feel skeevy in so many places.
