The Fourth Law of Cultivation

Rate this book
War has come to the Azure-Jade Empire.

With the emperor slain and the Azure Dragon vanished, the demonic forces have returned, overwhelming the empire on all fronts. Amidst the chaos, only one path remains to stop Yang Shen’s ascent: Lu Jie must journey to the Cradle of Dragons and seek the Azure Dragon, harnessing the power of not one, but two Divine Beasts.

As war ravages the land, Lu Jie must rapidly master his abilities, growing in strength while navigating the immense pressure resting on his shoulders. The empire teeters on the brink, its fate seemingly bound to him. The path to victory is perilous, but retreat is not an option.

The fate of the heavens now lies in the balance. It’s do or die.

Book 4 of an epic Xianxia Cultivation Series perfect for fans of Beware of Chicken and Cradle. The series features weak-to-strong power progression, a light scientific approach to magic, tons of alchemy, spirit beast companions, and so much more.

The story had a couple of unexpected twists, but overall, I wasn't too excited about the big reveals or any of the deaths. On one hand, I felt a lot of the inner contemplation was a little boring, but on the other hand, the external action seemed to happen too much and too often that it lost its impact on me. Yes, war is terrible, but when there are 5+ big battles one after the other, it stops making an impression. Plus, the book ended on a doozy of a cliffhanger. @_@

Lost 2 stars for NOT writing a Recap.

I think every reader needs to start doing this to force authors to write a quick Recap chapter, which readers can skip if they remember, and those who don't won't stop reading the series.

Unfortunately there is nothing left of what made the first two books fun to read.

Good read

I've been enjoying this series so far. Looking forward to the next book. Definitely feels like the series is coming to an end just can't figure out if it's a complete end or if it's just an end to this story arc.

Thought provoking

What can I say after reading this book, it has everything the others have and a proper page turner as it was four in the mourning before I finished this book as I had to read it from start to finish and then pre order the next one .

This is so far removed from the first two books it feels like another author wrote them.

fun

The demons now attacking in mass. Things look bleak. Main character racist to find a way to defeat the big bad evil guy. He gets his prepared as he can. He gains another divine beast, becomes the Emperor, and sets the stage for the final battle. He faces the BBEG, and they have an epic battle that seems to be the end of the story. He loses. The hero loses, but the story doesn’t end, however the book does.

The pacing is still great, still an interesting world. It’s a fast read and entertaining. It does need editing as there are multiple small errors that the reader asked correct as they read. I plan to continue and finish the series. I am thoroughly enjoying it, and I hope you will too.
