Charming a Cursed Highlander by Vonda Sinclair is the second book in The Highlander Shifter series. I have not read the first book in the series YET but I will definitely be going back and reading the first one too! This book can be read as a standalone but like any novel by this author I highly recommend reading all of the books in the series because they open up a whole new world and you don’t want to miss out on anything! Vonda is an absolutely brilliant writer who captivates you from beginning to end. I especially love this series because you get the best of both worlds! I love a good Shifter romance but historical romances are my kryptonite. Both of them together… YES please! The storyline in this book draws you in and keeps you interested. It’s written beautifully and you can feel the emotion of the characters. The hero and heroine are likeable and I can’t wait to hear Brodie’s story. I was definitely left wanting more! I wish it didn’t have to end! The only thing I felt the story was missing was more conflict between Cat and MacPeter. I felt like that part of the story was a little rushed. It was well executed though considering how little interaction there really was between them. Over all it was a really good read, and I would definitely recommend reading it! 4.5/5 😊

Omgoodness word’s can’t express how happy I was to see this book released. Thrilled is an understatement. Thank you thank you thank you Vonda for releasing this wonderful story and I can’t wait to read Brodie’s Story Next. Please don’t keep me waiting for 2 more years 😊😊😊😊 I absolutely loved this one. I loved the characters and the continued storyline so much. Boy Wilona is a piece of work! She needs to get a life. Catronia was strong and patient with Torr and his shifting. I loved how this ended and can’t wait for the next one. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰💜💜💜💜💜😊😊😊😊😊

Torr and Catriona work hard to achieve their HEA, but things don’t go according to plan….
This is the second book in the trilogy. It’s not really necessary to read book one. It gives you a little background on the curse, but you get just as much info in here, so it’s really your choice. I read (and loved book one) and I’m looking forward to book three.
Torr is best friends with Brodie and Gavin. They’ve been friends and allies for years. Being cursed because of a mothers broken heart isn’t how the three friends thought their lives would turn out….
Gavin was cursed to live his life a Hawk (first book in the series) His two friends have different curses, Torr turns into a kelpie (water horse) so having a relationship isn’t in his future, slowly turning him into a grumpy and angry character.
Catriona has loved Torr for years, but has convinced herself that he never really saw her other than the annoying little sister of his best friend.
After her brother was cursed and abandoned his clan, his mother decided to marry off Catriona to protect the clan. But she has no wish to marry the vile MacPeter. So Cat needs to find and break their chiefs curse.
I have to admit I would have like to have seen more action between Cat and MacPeter, we only really got snippets! 🤨
Lady Wilona doesn’t see the curses as being enough. They killed her son, revenge will be served…..
I liked the fact we got to see the villains points of view and thoughts.
It’s a fast paced read with lots of humour. A feisty female that drags Torr back to life. But can they really break the curse? Or will Torr return to the water and never know love again?
A highly recommended read. 👍🏻

Vonda Sinclair has long been a favorite author of mine. I was so excited to learn of this book 2 of the Highland Shifters series hitting stands. Catriona and Torr have sizzling chemistry even as Torr tries to deny the attraction for fear of angering Catriona’s brother, his good friend Brodie. Gavin, Torr, and Brodie were all cursed by a malevolent witch for killing her son in a skirmish. As Catriona and Torr battle the witch to break the curse, they fall deeply in love. Enjoy this action packed, quick moving story as they are continually surprised by the attacks and tactics of the witch. Worth the wait for book 2, now eagerly awaiting book 3, Brodie’s story. ❤️
