We encountered Gwen in her brother Ricochet's book, where she had just managed to escape from her abusive ex-husband.
Gwen, along with her two children, is grappling with PTSD stemming from that fateful night. In my view, the children appear to exhibit greater resilience than Gwen, who flinches at every minor sound. Despite the efforts of those around her to help her readjust, I believe these attempts may have exacerbated her distress; however, this is merely my perspective.
Meanwhile, Freeman is intent on dismantling the motorcycle club, prompting Lockout to prepare for an impending conflict. This situation has been developing for some time, leading Lockout to have all family members stay at the clubhouse.
Static has harbored feelings for Gwen for an extended period, yet he has not disclosed these emotions to his fellow club members. Nevertheless, it seems to be common knowledge, even though he refrains from confirming it when they tease him about it.

Once Gwen and Static were on the same wavelength, their chemistry ignited almost instantly. Which got bit Spicy

As per usual, there's a lot of drama, twists, and turns, along with plenty of playful banter among the members. And we certainly can't ignore the spicy interactions between the main characters.

Lately, I've been savoring this series since, I'm approaching the finish line. I'm definitely going to miss all the characters in this unique bunch of misfits

Another fabulous read in the Vikings MC: Tucson chapter! I’ve been waiting for Static and he didn’t disappoint ♥️. I’m not a huge fan of the damsel in distress trope, but Cathleen did it up right and the two cute kiddos totally didn’t hurt, lol. Great storyline with tons of action and plenty of hot smexy times. LOTS of breadcrumbs for future books, but Butcher is next and I just 👏🏼can’t 👏🏼 wait👏🏼!!

I’ve been looking forward to not only Gwen’s story but also Static since they made an appearance in an earlier book! Gwen is going through some difficult things which came from events of her brother Ricochet’s book. Static has always been there for Gwen and her kids from the moment they met. Static realized that he needed to take things at her pace to not jeopardize her healing journey or the relationship he wants with her. But once that happened…. 🥵

Static was kind of a mystery at the beginning of the series but I was pleasantly surprised to see more of his character finally! He’s just as fiercely protective of Gwen and her kids as all the other MC members!

My favorite part of Gwen’s healing was when she found the strength to fight back thanks to those supporting her at the club and the different ways she worked on things for herself.

Now that I read this as fast as I could, I can’t wait for Butchers book! I’m sure it’s going to be a wild one 😏.

First Impressions
Static is the next installment in the series and this is where we get the laywer biker of the group. Static has always had a aura of deep mystery and I just knew that I would fall in love with his book and I was exactly right. I really appreciated what this duo author team chose to implement here with the couple dynamic. This is where we get the sister who was attacked by her ex husband and her son had to kill him to save them. And this is where we see this endearing family get their happy ending. Static has always found himself drawn to Gwen, but he wants to be patient and give her time. Now its been a little over a year from when she was attacked. So we see that this story is a bit more of a slow burn then other books in the series and some serial plot developments that were beyond intriguing.

Static is a lawyer and prospect to the club and he has been patient waiting for Gwen to be ready for something more. He has fallen head over heels with her children and wants to embrace the love he feels for their mother. But Gwen isn't ready to jump into a relationship. She has suffered a abusive attack from her ex, and it caused trauma for the whole family. And she is trying to work through it on her own. And Static is her steady rock through it all. And even though she is damaged and working through healing, she also can't deny what she feel's for Static and the support he gives to her. But will their enemies allow them to have a happy ending?

What I Loved
This was such a gentle and charming romance that developed. I actually went into this one without even knowing the blurb, that is how much these authors have just charmed me so quickly. And I was in my feels in this story from beginning to end. This isn't an easy story, so keep in mind of the triggers within this story. I found the way Static interact with Gwen and her children to be endearing. He is so patient and supportive and doesn't rush her before she is ready. It had a more slow burn feel to this story which isn't the norm. I found it highly refreshing in many regards. We also see what friendships are formed within this one and see the manner in which they fight for each other within the club. This was a read that had me swooning from beginning to end.

What I Struggled With
Nothing much...the pacing was off at times (or it could have been a me issue) But a solid story I had a good time with.

Overall View
Statis was a tale of stunning alpha male vibes with protector theme to it.....charm and poignant emotion that just flows so smoothly throughout and delivers an impactful plot to keep you intrigued for more

Steam/Spice Explanations

Simmering cup of tea---soft warm touches and light intimacy
Warmin' by the fire- a medium level of sexual tension, a balance of sexual and emotional intimacy, lighter on the details in the sexual moments.
Steamin' up the room -the sexual content is more explicit in the language and tone, heavier amount of sexual scenes.
Blazing fire to the building-The prime focus is the sex scenes, scorching hot, and could burn one. Less focus on the emotional intimacy to the relationship.

The way this series has a chokehold on me is no joke!! I think I was literally counting down the days at one point.
Static is willing to break every law known to man to keep Gwen and her children safe. Walking the line between the prospect and lawyer for the Vikings MC is something that Static is more than willing to do. With the war with Fremont mounting, he needs to focus on taking down the man who continues to threaten his family. Only now his family has grown, because of Gwen and her two children. Static wants more with her but he's willing to wait until she's ready.

I had been curious about Gwen and Static since we first met them and their first interaction in Ricochet. Static had always been this mystery and I loved getting that extra insight into his brain throughout the book.
His love for not only Gwen but her kids was honestly too perfect. Gwen's healing and overall grown was so good to see and seeing a more vulnerable side to Butcher was so good. I can't wait for his book - no seriously... I need it now!

The only reason, this book didn't get five stars was because I couldn't find a villain that sticks. I really want to know how this is going to end. I am on the damn near edge of my seat.

We met Gwen earlier in this series, she's a single mom who barely managed to get away from her abusive ex husband. Static fell in love with Gwen and her kids right away, but knew she needed time to heal before he could make a move. Until then he helped her with everything she and the kids needed. The club is still trying to get Freeman, the corrupted DA put away for his crimes, but Freeman is determined to destroy the MC. I absolutely loved this book, Static fell in love Gwen's kids like his own right away (swoons). Once both Gwen and Static got on the same page, their chemistry heated up quickly. I think my favorite part of this book was Gwen's healing journey, her ex left her with PTSD and she felt very weak, seeing her find the strength to fight back was *chef's kiss*. Next is Butcher's book and I'm not sure if I'm more excited or scared.

I loved static and Gwens' story. How cathleen manages to link all these characters and has them all im eachothers books is something great! I love how much butcher and toxic got in this book the amount I laughed at thrm and can not wait for there's as well as the new MC chapters series I know she has planned.
Gwen hasn't been my favourite female character in this series, but I've loved Static, so I was intrigued. Cathleen took a difficult topic of D.A. and really portrayed it well in terms of the after effects it has on a person moving forward and trying to find happiness again. It went at Gwens' pace and showed how strong she is but also the impact it had on her.

I just adore this series!

I wasn’t sure was to expect with Static story, a lawyer as a biker…but my god did I have nothing to worry about.

Just like his MC brothers Static is an Alpha hero. He protects the one he loves and nothing will get in his way of what he wants.

After Gwen traumatic experience, Static is there for her and her kids. He helps her in more ways the one to deal with her fears.

With continued trouble still around, Static is ready to show Gwen that he isn’t going anywhere and that her kids will be his kids.

Action packed, funny and will make you say “aww” just like the rest of this series. And finishes with you hitching for the one

Static has been loving Gwen. He has been patiently waiting. Now he needs to reveal ot to her. He loves Gwen and her kids.

Watching Static reveal all to Gwen, he helps her and her kids. This story slowly is how he loves her and helps her heal. Their path is difficult but Static has the patience of a saint. The world is well developed and the characters are old friends once you are in their world.

The way this series has a chokehold on me!!! As always, an absolutely phenomenal continuation of the series!! Gwen and Static make the cutest couple!!! Seeing old characters brought back and new characters showing up, I am on the edge of my seat impatiently waiting for more books it was THAT good!!! I love the slow burn with the MC’s. the male MC never pushes the female MC further than she needs. . . however this story, as good as it was, was overshadowed by two background characters. anyone who has read this series should know who I am talking about. Butcher and toxic. absolute stars!! Can’t wait sit for the next installment and the introduction to two new MC has me hopefully for much more in the future

Static and gwen had me interested when static first showed up in ricochet book and as always cathleen cole and frank Jensen didn’t disappoint with the delivery. These two are perfect together! Satic fell on love with both Gwen and her kids and put in the work to make them his. These two have become my favorite couple so far an watching the relationship between jot only the mc’s but static and the kids was absolute perfection!

I've been waiting for Gwen to get her happy ever after and Static delivers in full.

He's a steadying presence, but with that edgy biker/lawyer combo that makes him dangerous to everyone else except Gwen, her kids and his fellow MC members.

There's still a lot going on with the club and the dodgy DA and it's great having all the other characters alongside, catching snippets of their lives too.

I cannot begin to describe how much I love the chemistry between these characters. Getting to see the development of the relationships with all of the characters has been phenomenal. I think my favorite part was definitely when Butcher took Gwen. And really taught her to throw a punch. I may be biased though because butcher is my favorite character and I love the shenanigans that him and toxic get up to. I think another of my favorite part is that they got one of a motorcycle bike thing.

I have waited for this book forever lol. We first meet Static and Gwen in an earlier book. The trauma that Gwen suffered still affects her a year later. The book was full of drama, empowering women and the men who support them. New people are also introduced, so this makes me wonder will there be another series involving our favorite MMCs?

I love Static!!!! The way he cares for Gwen and her kids is, dare I say, swoon worthy. Gwen was traumatized and almost killed by her ex-husband. Static moves heaven and earth to make sure that she never has to experience anything like that ever again. The patience and tenderness that this badass biker gives to Gwen just melts my heart.

I loved reading Gwen's journey through this series and how she finally started to heal.
I really enjoyed the chemistry between this couple.

Some parts of this book had me giggling and kicking my feet. Probably one of the best ones that I’ve read by them. Static was an amazing MMC and really helped Gwen figure out that what she wanted. He finally did it. Even if it took a push or two. Gwen finally started taking steps back fully into the land of the living and is making strides to fully reclaim who she is and Static is helping that. Fremont finally gets a little of what was coming to him. Can’t wait to see what is next with the Vikings.

I love this series and really enjoyed this story. The characters are awesome, and the storyline flows and keeps you wanting more. Can't wait for the next book.
