Thrill-seeker Jack Bianchi’s high-stakes life as a London City trader collides with Shaun Walters, a seemingly mild-mannered bookshop owner. Beneath Shaun’s calm exterior lies a darker side. Their worlds entangle when Shaun’s wife, Katie, unwittingly becomes a pivotal figure in a deadly inheritance game. Set against the stark contrasts of London’s sleek skyline, the rustic allure of the Cotswolds and the azure Caribbean, this gripping thriller weaves a tale of greed, betrayal, and murder. As the tension mounts irreversible choices are made in the shadows of greed. Will Jack’s actions be his undoing, or will he outwit fate in this high-stakes game of deception?

This is the second book I’ve read by Michael Bacon, a very descriptive author who doesn’t disappoint with his work. I’ve enjoyed this book from the first chapter to the last. Great storyline with plenty of plot twists. Very well thought and full of great characters.
