What would you do if someone came for your family? What would you do if men came out of the dark, armed and capable of unspeakable evil, to take the one you love?
In a time gone by, the Earth grew green, lush, and was full of violence. Dinosaurs and men walked side by side… or one had the other for lunch! Before Noah’s Ark, people and animals ruled the earth, and not all of them were very nice.
Join Kenan, Anna, Wren, and Lidai on a journey to defend their village of Blacktree from the terrors of the White Spiders. This slaving company raids the world, attacking indiscriminately and taking women to their home nation, where evil has a free hand.
Will the young people of this backwater village be able to stop the White Spiders and rescue those who were kidnapped? Will Kenan understand the reality of God Almighty? Will Wren be able to control his actions? Will anyone ever actually listen to Lidai? And, for the love of all that is good and holy, someone please feed that racoon!
There are three kinds of those that eat plants, those that eat meat, and those that men ride to war!
Action. Adventure. And a little bit of humor. Read The Book 1 The War of the Nephilim by author Tripp Berry.
A country boy from the back woods of Maine, Tripp Berry loves wild adventure. He writes non-fiction about the adventures of business and personal growth. He also writes fiction about the adventures of an inquisitive mind.
His popular War of the Nephilim series takes place pre-flood, where man existed with dinosaurs, and one had the other for dinner! https://a.co/d/881BmFb
Tripp writes side-by-side with his author wife Evelyn Grace, next to the sleeping form of his dog Addie, and with an eye out for Evelyn's murderous cat, Maggie. Don't let her sweet name fool you; that cat is out to get him.
I just could not finish this.....sadly! I would have liked to, but the sexual content was just far far far too much!
It was well written ( at least the 12% that I did read). Great world building of life before the flood. Interesting dragons, tree living etc etc.
But nooooo ! Very explicit sexual content, and violence, and so on.
I read only one small incident that kind of, sort of, might be a little 'Christian'....
I kept hoping, the sex talk would finally end... that it was just the author, setting up the evil in the world before the flood...
However, at least, into 12% it did NOT let up.
And so, I just did not need that!!
I really really would have liked to have continued reading because of the very 'interesting 'ideas of: pre-Noah days. ( well, besides the sex and violence.... which I already have a good idea about in our world today... I don't need the visuals this author continued to write).
I have no idea, if the author was finally, going to write some Christian content, or not really.
If you love dinosaurs as much as the author, you will enjoy this book. An Antediluvian adventure with swords, fighting, love, and angelic beings. Many of the women characters suffer through some difficult hardships, so be prepared for that, but the story is overall "clean" in general. A little slow in some parts for me, but the ending was satisfying and I enjoyed the book overall, with more to come in the rest of the series.
So good! Unique, gritty, action-packed, and from a Christian viewpoint. This is one of those books that you sit down to read and lose track of time as you get sucked into the story, and you feel as if you are part of these people's lives. It’s a long book, but that just means you have more to enjoy! I cannot wait for more!
Captivating storyline and creative symbolism, but some unnecessary repetition left me feeling like the author assumed I wouldn't catch it the first time.. but a good read overall.
I liked the story, and the characters. The vivid world building really added to the novel's appeal. A few editing errors were distracting and interrupted the flow, but overall it was an enjoyable read.
