Clipped Wings is the 2nd in the Emerald Mafia series by Jennifer Luna.

I love when we get to witness a FMC growing stronger and even more so when she chooses to do so and not at the behest of the MMC. She fought for him and to show him how strong she really was. That was a low blow by the MMC to pull just to get her to leave him, and I hope she makes him grovel more!

This is the second book in this series which is just as great as the first one. I highly suggest reading the first book before this one to help with where the characters have been. It will also help with your enjoyment of this author. I enjoyed how the author used details to be bring her characters to life. I enjoyed being pulled into the story from the beginning. They are connectable and truly made the story for me. I enjoyed watching their growth throughout which added to their chemistry. This is an easy story to read that has a lot of entertaiment value. A hard to put down story that I highly recommend.

Mafia Romance series with plenty of action - this is the 2nd book following the same two main characters from the first book. It's action packed from the start of the book through the end. There is a good balance between mafia plot scenes, romance, and smut. I really liked getting to spend more time with Emma and Jack and I love a good making him jealous scene. There's another book with Emma and Jack after this that I'm pumped to read when it comes out. Smut 2/5

Wow! What an amazing continuation of this series, I can’t wait for book 3! The development of these characters on a personal level (especially strengthening the female protagonist) and the intensity of the storyline were top-notch. Very spicy romantic chemistry and a strong underlying plot continuing from book to book leaves this reader counting down the days to find out what happens next!

I loved everything about this book. I didn't realize how much I missed Emma and Jack until I started this book. Going back into their world and seeing how much stronger and more of a baddy Emma became and Jack showing a softer side, amazing. I didn't want the story to end and I can't wait to see what Don Luca has up his sleeve. I'm excited to see how Emma and Jack survive his retaliation.

This is the second book in the series and it follows Jack and Emma’s story. I read the first book and this one was just as great. I read this book in one sitting, I couldn’t put it down. I cannot wait to read the next book to see where Jack and Emma’s story goes. It is easy to read and intriguing. I recommend reading this book, you do need to read book one first.
