I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Copyright date is 1949, but it could have been written yesterday for the relevance it has for today's world. I discovered this book accidentally while cleaning out the home of a grandparent. What a treasure it is. It is about a very important woman in American history that was unknown to me until this book. Many strong, intelligent and courageous women have been suppressed or erased from our history and after reading this book I intend to look for further chronicles of their achievements. I recommend this book to who appreciates women and want to know more.
