Remington Kane

Remington Kane is an American author that writes action-packed thrillers. The author might be unfamiliar to some people because Remington Kane is actually a pseudonym for Donald Wells.

Donald Wells has garnered a reputation for writing darker and somewhat serious novels about killers. The author was born in New Jersey. He never really left and has since made a home there. Like most of his peers, Donald Wells was an avid reader as a child.

He spent many an hour devouring every book he came across. And it wasn’t long before he began to yearn for the chance to write. Like many aspiring authors, Donald Wells knew he had the capacity to tell stories. However, he was a little hesitant to venture into such uncharted waters, not only because he didn’t know where to start with regards to writing a book but also because he didn’t have confidence in his own ability to produce compelling fiction.

Again, like most notable authors, Donald meandered about for a while. Rather than going into publishing the first chance he got, Donald tried his hand at various odd jobs. He worked as an insurance salesman, a Real Estate Sales person, and even a Retail manager.

The jobs, though seemingly meaningless in the grand scheme of things, did wonders for the author’s writing capabilities. Whether he was driving trucks or cleaning floors, Donald gained insight into the workings of the world.

He met unexpected people and heard their intriguing stories. He came across numerous strange encounters and even participated in some of them. He essentially dipped into so many unique aspects of life that it came as no surprise that he had more than enough stories rattling around his head when it finally came time to write his first novel.

Not that many authors can claim to have been offered a chance to act as bodyguard to a drug dealer. Since getting his first book sold, though, Donald has finally settled in his career. The author loves writing novels and there is nothing he else he would rather be doing. The fact that he has found a way to make money out of his passion makes him one of the luckier individuals in the world.

By the time Donald Wells began writing as Remington Kane, he had already become established as a novelist with numerous thrillers under his name. However, writing as Remington practically took over his life.

This is because Donald has achieved more success writing as Remington Kane than he did producing novels under his real name. Kane is best known for the Tanner series of novels. Tanner is a hit man who accepts a job to take out a mob boss.

When he is betrayed and thrown into prison, Tanner thinks of little else besides getting revenge. And once he finally gets his freedom, the hit man becomes a one man army, engaging in a brutal way against a crime organization known as the Conglomerate.

Each new book sees Tanner raising the stakes by finding a new target that will sting the Conglomerate in ways they couldn’t possibly fathom.

Remington Kane has been praised for the Tanner novels because Tanner is such a refreshing hero. The protagonist is so average physically, devoid of the exaggerated traits that most action heroes seem to bear. If not for his natural fighting and survival instincts, one would be hard pressed to tell Tanner apart from any other ordinary man on the street.

Tanner, taking Romeo with him, head to London after receiving a phone call from an old friend asking for help. Her husband is being threatened and they need protection. While Tanner and Romeo's wives and kids enjoy spending some time together at the ranch before heading to London for a vacation together, Tanner and Romeo have business to take care of, deadly business. They are up against corporate espionage, the London Mob, con artists and Belgium mercenaries but they will all find out just why Tanner and Romeo are considered the best. Exciting, non-stop action with a great story, I would definitely recommend this latest Tanner book.

Simple minded superman

I can't believe this has even be in a read List as a book. It's more like some kind of comic booked Where the characters have no emotion they're just in Where the characters have no emotion they're just in motion. I sure won't Waste my time reading anything else by this author. It's not even suitable for junior high students Level of education And it certainly wouldn't hold their interest either. I kept waiting for something meaningful to happen

This is exactly the ONE!

Tanner is an amazing man but when you add in Romeo and now Henry, this tells it all! I've been an avid reader of anything Tanner related as Remington Kane provides, this is the one where you'll soon find yourself addicted to his writing. If you find you need a story that is not only mind boggling but keeps you so engrossed that nothing else matters but turning those pages as fast as you can read them, again this is the one!

Adding Romeo to Tanner almost seems like an unfair advantage when they go after the bad guys. This time Tanner Six’s protégés confront many foes in London. Corporate espionage, entrapment, betrayals, and murder are woven together to create another exciting adventure. I received an advanced copy from the author and voluntarily provided an honest review.

one of the best story tellers

I know I sound like a broken record but Tanner books are always highly entertaining. You get caught up in the story from the start and you feel like you are rt next to Tanner in the book.
The only thing that would make this better, is making it into a tv series.

Again, broken record but THANK YOU MR. KANE!!!!

Slightly different writing style

Book is a rollicking good time but the writing style has been slightly different for the last few books. If you read Tanner 3 and then this book you'll catch what I mean. This style is more passive and I don't mean the fight scenes. At least this time was more than 2 days in Tanner history.

A Great Read

This book was a "throwback" to the novels I read 34 years ago. The action moved smoothly and I certainly didn't have to be "reintroduced" to Tanner and Romeo!
I enjoyed the that the ending wasn't a "Kum-By-Ya" time but a bit of understanding that not everything in this world was always 'black and white' .
A good book that I recommend and would read again!!

tanner 7 and tanner 7-1/2 in tandem

They protected Kay Abbot without charge. It’s admirable.

These are elite assassins but one cannot dislike them. They remove the scum of the earth. It may be vigilantism but it’s much acceptable. These rich criminals get away with crime through bribery.

I applaud the Tanners.

like Old Times Book 55

Tanner finds himself being called to service by an old client and in order to fulfill it he needs the help of none other than Romeo who worked with him the first time around. This is an interesting book about corporate espionage criminals the mob being one of them and so many other others. By the time you finish this book you will feel like it’s old times.

If this is your first Tanner book start at the first one!

Another story of suspense with unforseen twist and turns. Having read every book in the series I was able to foresee some future events. However, I was still surprised by the plot and enjoyed another Tanner event.

Another great Tanner adventure

Good reads as all of the Tanner books have been. My only complaint is I wish the books were longer. You get so caught up in the action and your turning pages so fast that before you know it the book is done.

Never stop

It blows my mind that you can keep a storyline going after 50+ books and yet never EVER let it get dull. Not only that but you put more books out than almost anyone I've read. Keep doing what you're doing and know you're truly a GOAT in the book world.
