A masterfully crafted tale of what growing up in a podunk little coal camp would have been like for someone in the early 1900’s. It’s done as a series of interviews with fictional characters but based on historical facts and anecdotes.
It’s visceral, gripping and emotionally heavy, especially in the later chapters. Definitely not for the feint of heart, but worth a read!
