Issue focused on examining Asian settler colonialism in Hawai'i--the complicity of Asian immigrant groups, particularly the Japanese community, in supporting the continued colonization of Hawai'i and kanaka maoli peoples. Also focused on examining the term "local"--its origins and the ways it obscures differences between Asian immigrant communities and the Native Hawaiian community.
