For those interested in the rural villages of Britain and Wales , this is a fantastic read with great photos and illustrations . I was fortunate to get this book as a result of a liquidation of 25,000 volumes donated to our local library . This book has the name of the collector , making it even more of a treasure to me . I plan to use this book especially to locate and research towns mentioned in police procedurals and other fiction by British authors !

Yes... I have actually read this book from start to finish. Every. Entry. On. 700. British. Villages. 16/17-year old me was at her peak of British-nature-and-architecture-mania.

Oh, and I actually loved it.
